Good lord. Busy couple of days. I would love to setup a sim rig someday. Couple more years before I retire from the military and buy a home in a permanent spot, so just a little longer to wait. Another great video.

Awesome video as usual Noob! I live in Cheyenne, Wy. About 30-45 minutes north of where you were in Loveland. (depending on traffic) I really enjoy what you do and your attention to detail. With your voice and tone, I'm sure you can make growing grass and watching paint dry exciting! As always a great video and glad you enjoyed the view in Colorado. Sometime you will have to take a trip down for pleasure, not work and go fishing/hiking in the mountains.

It would likely be better to use a riser to move the GPU out of the way of the other slots so you aren't tied to any one specific motherboard. There are many cases that have alternate positions of GPU mounts for those that use Risers.

I have been wanting to run a business that rents time in sim chairs like these, maybe have a pair of pilot focused sim setups and a few arcade versions for gaming. Reminds me of the battle tech pods that people could roll into a event space and link up for mech battles but this would be for airplanes and star ships.

Does MSFS have a setting to factor in the motion of the platform so that what it shows on the screen is adjusted to appear relative to the pilot so that the visual motion cues are correct? Is this done with a motion tracker added to the platform or maybe the motion platform gives a signal to MSFS? Or is the only way to have proper motion cueing to have the monitors move with the platform?

Why not VR? It is really odd how one of the best use cases for VR is the one where people go for oldschool multi-monitor builds. For that kind of cost you can throw in a Varjo XR-4. Many organizations choose these over screens for a reason. And with XR passthrough you can still get the tactile feedback of seeing and touching the G1000 panels.
