It's not the Criteria that needs changing. It's the judges that we need to change. None of them abide by the Criteria. Judge Derek Cleary was in three split decisions just in the 297. No one is talking about how the MMA judges have zero training to score MMA even tho the Certification and training is available. And the Athletic Commission doesn't demand it either. So we end up with judges that score rounds based on personal preference instead of scoring by the Criteria

The comments where for sure unfair, and Mark Goddard fucked that fight up for Allen in the third round, but the judging criteria had nothing to do with how this fight went. The first round was close, but Evloev won that round rather clearly, Allen missed most of what he threw and got outstruck by a significant margin as a result. I don't like the rule about the knees to grounded opponents either, but the rules is there and the fighters fight knowing about it. It should absolutely not be a rule, but it is, and the fact that the rule is there changes how fights are fought, so we can't pretend it shouldn't be applied when it becomes relevant. Does it suck seeing Aljo abuse the rule like he does? Absolutely. Would he fight like that and get in those situations if the rule wasn't there? No of course not, they would be entirely different fights. That said , yeah, those Allen knees were legal even with the rule. And without Mark Goddard messing it up, the fight might have been head to a TKO there.

it was a good fight, i don’t think what allen did was illegal and think he could’ve really changed the fight or finished evloev, but since he didn’t evloev took that dub bro. on the feet i think allen underestimated evloev and was worried more about takedowns, he got cracked and wobbled and it really got to him i believe. evloev 2-1 tho

I bet on Allen but thought Evloev won so the robbery claims are crazy but not as crazy as Dana calling it a boring fight when it was arguably the fight of the night
