The Two Block Jelly Roll Quilt Tutorial
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
We were lucky enough to be loaned this quilt by Katrina's friend Val who is part of her quilting group. Val's quilt has been made using Lynette Anderson fabric but for today Katrina will be using Batiks.

Another one for the bucket list
Lovely quilt.
❤❤❤ Love all these videos
Such a great idea!!!
Two not too difficult blocks and then with the right layout magic happens. Thank you for this inspiring video - love your videos and enthusiasm. ♥️
What a great optical illusion! Thank you so much for this tutorial. ❤
Love it!!! ❤
Thanks for sharing Val's quilt & explaining how we can copy the design. What else I liked was your showing us how the quilting was done, which is what confounds many quiltmakers! Another 👍 tutorial.
I look forward to all your videos!! These 'simple' blocks are the loveliest i find.
Lovely!! I'm so glad I found your channel!
I love the optical illusion. Wonderful
This video is so timely. I have some leftover 9 patch blocks from another quilt so all I need to do is make some hour glass blocks and I can make a crib size quilt using this layout. Yay!

Thanks again for another lovely quilt design. You are so thorough explaining how to cut and assemble. And this time with batiks! My favorites! Look forward to next Sewing Studio tutorial.

Awesome tutorial. Thank you.
I’m thinking this might be an easy beginner quilt. I said that once already, but this looks very simple.
Excellent clear video. Thank you.
Hello! I hope you had a happy Easter. I have been in my sewing room all day because the grandkids were here yesterday for our Easter feast. Now, I have my feet up, mending my blue jeans and watching you! Very enjoyable video! I hope you have a great week ahead! Thank you for posting and your time.

Hi Roxi, Dont be discouraged! The hourglass block takes practice. Katrina's first hourglass quilt was very wonky! Finished is better than perfect!
Thank you
幾好嘅影片,可教授吾同嘅手作!

Hey Miss Katrina, I wanted to know if the instructions for the quilt could be purchased?

Hi Becky, We have a blog to go along side this video tutorial: www.thesewingstudio.co.uk/blog/two-block-quilt
Lovely quilt! Can you please tell me what size the finished blocks are supposed to be? It looks like the two different blocks are different sizes.... ty😊

Hi Jamie, We can confirm both blocks are 6.5" finished.
Where can I find the pattern for this quilt.
How much yardage is needed for the hour glass blocks?

Hi Debbie, you need approx a 1 metre of light fabric and 1 metre of dark.
Unless you cut wof in half, you can’t get 2 complete sets to make the block. In the beginning it costs more but this is a great example of why I buy fabric in yardage form.
