Thank you for the MEASUREMENTS! ❤😂
I love it. Thank you. ❤
Jeanette I recently bought papers and a hexagon but it’s a 2” one but I’m going to give it a go. I love the idea of using up the scraps I also have a 1” hexagon but I don’t have the papers for it and it’s small for me. I look forward to using my 2” hexagon pieces in ways you’ve shown on here and other videos thank you so much for the introduction to paper piecing.❤😊
It's there watch to the end
Thank you so much for this demonstration! This was so helpful for me. One of those daunting tasks that you really explained so well. 😊
I don’t see a save button on this video?
It’s there on mine
Well done video. Everything is clear. Thank You.
I am in love with the paisley fabric! Can you tell me the brand name and the name of the fabric line? Thanks for the buttonhole review, it’s been ages since I’ve made any. ♥️👍😎
It's from the Moda Chelsea Garden range: www.thesewingstudio.co.uk/products/moda-chelsea-garden-posh-paisley-porcelain-multi-33741-11

Thank you for sharing
Thank you.
I've been sewing for 60+ years and have never seen a pin used like that. How clever!!
Whenever I make a quilt, with the left over blocks or fabric I make a pillow. Or a pillowcase to put quilt in when I give it the the person. Thank you
How many 2.5 inch squares?
Thank you , a very helpful tutorial 😊
Super helpful, thank you!!
Thank you for this. Am I correct in saying you cannot position the needle to the right (when it's facing you), only central or to the left (A and B)? I found this rather strange for example when I was doing the understitching I wanted to use the 'stitch in the ditch' foot to help me, and have the stitches a fraction to the right on the yoke. I wasn't able to do this without turning the whole garment round and having the yoke on the left which was very difficult.
You didn't mention how many 2 1/2" squares to cut. Love this use for the scrap bags. Thank you, Katrina.
Thank you for showing the variations!
Thank you, Katrina. Wonderful way to use up scraps. ❤
I think the main issue for Bernina is their prices considering what other manufacturers give you they give you so much less and you have to pay outrageous prices for accessories. I wanted to buy a Bernina but the daily oiling was not something I wanted to do and pay thousands of dollars for it. Plus its hard to find someone to fix them.
You are so educational. I wish I knew how to get your tutorials.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great block❤
Thank you Jenatte❤
Great blocks❤
Love all you shared❤
Would love to see the little bow tie block quilt….though I’m probably too late for the vote! 😊
O my I'm learning from you! Keep up the gr8 work ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I Love all 3 blocks. I particularly Love the first red, white & blue block. Oh, who am I kidding: I am currently working on a Jacob's Ladder Quilt, very similar to The Jewel Box block. I'm making it in two colors: a fairly dark taupish warm gray and orange thru red orange contrasting color and value. It is turning out gorgeously 😊 Many Thanks for your tutorials! ❤❤❤
Love the star one.
Favorite one is red, white and blue.
I’m so torn between 725 and 423 and I wish I could get some good advice. Some folk say top loader is more reliable and others say side loader gives better stitching…. Help?! Also I think I want sturdy so is 423 better because of full metal body? I’m used to vertical thread holder. Helpppppppp 😅
Hello! We believe that for your purposes the 423s, would be the better machine. It has a front loading bobbin which produces a much nicer stitch and is better for free motion. It also copes better with thicker fabrics. We hope that helps. Please do email [email protected] if you have any further questions.
@@SewingStudio thank you Anna, I’m ordering today. Have a nice day filming ☺️
Love this vintage look pattern. Next on my project list. Thank you.
Thankyou ❤ Just what I was looking for! Love Jacob's ladder quilts
Katherina your so talented 😊
I'm so stupid that I can't remember how to thread a sewing machine....been years
You’re not stupid. 🤗 You can find instructions online. OR, take your machine into a sewing machine repair shop and they’ll show you.
I got this machine in December and so far I’m loving it. I’m looking forward to doing free motion quilting with the stitch regulator. I’ve only ever bought 1 Moda scrap bag and most of the strips had the selvage edge along the bottom of the strip and half the strips were cut squint so I only ended up with about 1.5” of useable fabric on the strip rather than 2.5”, some of the strips were only 1.5” wide at one end! I was really disappointed because you couldn’t see this looking at it. It really put me off buying another one.
@@alexandra-zaza-burns o not good
@@user-xn3mb9ui2r it was very disappointing and has put me off buying those scrap bags. I know they often have selvages but the squint cut was not great.
Nice looking forward to seeing finished black and white one😊
I’d be willing to bet there is no more artista portal is there?
Just learning how to make a quilt. Love all of the layer cake blocks. They are all real pretty. Thank you so much for showing us new quilt makers how to make a beautiful quilt. Love all of your patterns. Thank you so much Katrina.
Great idea to use up those extra jelly roll strips or leftover fabric! Love the new Janome machine also.
What a lovely idea! I love your sweet voice. Thank you for the great idea to use those leftover 2.5" strips.
That's a great quilt. I really enjoy your videos Katrina, I always understand you. Seems to me that jelly rolls are such fun and so versatile. Think I might get all my scraps and cut them into jelly roll strips.
Beautiful and fun! I love it! I also love your top!!
Looking forward to seeing you next time too.
I have purchased the "Moda Scrap Bags"... all different times, different stores.... one does need to watch out, as on the whole length of the strip, all the way down... you get the Bolt End Holes that hold the fabric onto the machinery...these need to be sliced off, prior to using the now narrower strip! Still a fun bag to buy... but be aware of the loss of fabric..
Wow I love this pattern. This would be a great scrap buster. Your directions would great ❤. Thank you
Fabulous design. Thanks Katrina. I always love your tutorials x
😮Personally I don't like the plastic fabrication and sound.😢 heavy duty all metal White sewing machines remain my choice. Cheaper and better.
