Lordy, I went and did a quick check and I have about 65, including solids. I am 69 years old and have enough fabric to outlive me. 😂 looks like I'd better get busy.

I have only been making quilt tops since Aug and have already finished four quilts. I have not used a pattern on any of them yet.. I have a friend who actually does the longer quilting for me. I have never worked on quilt tops before now. I waited til I was 69yrs old to start. I've also made some pot holders & table runners for gifts.

Kate from the KZread channel the last homely house has a video showing how to make one (I believe). She uses English paper piecing to make it

If you can’t or don’t know how to pick fabrics…. Buy a color wheel it shows contrasting colors and complimentary colors

Use your imagination and pick what you like. There are no fabric police out there.

Wow, I have never purchased a jelly roll, honey bun etc,. I only buy yardage. I don’t get why they are so desirable.

I think people like them because they are pre-cut, so it's a lot less work when you are starting. The downside, to me, is that you are not free to choose the combination of exact colors and patterns that you prefer. In a jellyroll, you can end up with some fabrics which you don't like: the duds.
