I love your upbeat and helpful tutorials. I have found your scrap block videos especially fun.! Thank you so much for the way to keep organized in the sewing room. I'm still working on this as I have almost finished my plans for quilts for family and friends back in 2015. Only have 9 tops left to bat and back. Arthritis has begun causing problems with being able to cut and sew, so, I may just make bigger sampler blocks ( 10") once the the quilts are done. These strip blocks are great! May God bless you and your family.

Brilliant! So many easy-to-do blocks in only 8 minutes. Great tip to make some blocks when you're done with a quilt because it gives you a head start on making another quilt and the task of the "leftover strips" quilt seems less daunting. Btw, I love your graphics. The visual is so easy to follow and you don't take up a lot of time showing us the steps. The pace of your videos is great; some are too slow, but when you zip right through, it keeps my interest, and I can pause it when I need you to slow down so I can do what you're doing.

When I first moved to the Island I joined the Parksville Quilt Guild and vividly remember a Trunk show of a Member’s Scrappy quilts. They were simply stunning! But how to make one myself was beyond me. 20 years and dozens of baby quilts later I had a huge tub of left over flannel. So I simply started sewing and learned a lesson carved in stone! Leftovers organically reproduce in the quiet of the night! As fast as I did a scrappy quilt the pile never seemed to reduce in size. The quilts gradually improved as I concentrated on Value rather than colour and I also revised my thinking these quilts were of reduced worth as they were “just leftovers”. The Scrappy quilt became my to go to quilt when there was a person in need of comfort and now I spend equal time on “new” quilts and those satisfying Scrappy ones. I’m eternally grateful for this video for more ways to use up the leftovers make stunning quilts. Keep the Tips, Tricks & Strategies coming!

37 years ago I made my first quilt. I took my sisters to an alley where a garment factory used to throw away fabric scraps. The quilt was hideous, but I had a blast doing it. I enjoyed using the quilt for the longest time. I wish I could go back dumpster diving for scraps again.
