My videos are a bit mixed up this week. If you watched my livestream you know we just got a new puppy so my life is topsy turvy. I hope you enjoy these fast and easy ways to use up those left over strips at the end of your quilt project. They can even be combined together. Have a great week.

Karen, you are something else, my friend. And you really do feel like a friend, not just a quilting expert! Thanks so much for your fantastic ideas.

Thank you
I love doing more intricate patterns, but boy there are days when all you want is something simple and easy, and just to play with the fabric. These all seem perfect for that. Thanks!
I love your upbeat and helpful tutorials. I have found your scrap block videos especially fun.! Thank you so much for the way to keep organized in the sewing room. I'm still working on this as I have almost finished my plans for quilts for family and friends back in 2015. Only have 9 tops left to bat and back. Arthritis has begun causing problems with being able to cut and sew, so, I may just make bigger sampler blocks ( 10") once the the quilts are done. These strip blocks are great! May God bless you and your family.
Boy ,these are great ways to use up scraps. I could see how using many, many different fabrics could make a super quilt.
Brilliant! So many easy-to-do blocks in only 8 minutes. Great tip to make some blocks when you're done with a quilt because it gives you a head start on making another quilt and the task of the "leftover strips" quilt seems less daunting. Btw, I love your graphics. The visual is so easy to follow and you don't take up a lot of time showing us the steps. The pace of your videos is great; some are too slow, but when you zip right through, it keeps my interest, and I can pause it when I need you to slow down so I can do what you're doing.

Ilike that wall hanging that is on the wall in the background.
When I first moved to the Island I joined the Parksville Quilt Guild and vividly remember a Trunk show of a Member’s Scrappy quilts. They were simply stunning! But how to make one myself was beyond me. 20 years and dozens of baby quilts later I had a huge tub of left over flannel. So I simply started sewing and learned a lesson carved in stone! Leftovers organically reproduce in the quiet of the night! As fast as I did a scrappy quilt the pile never seemed to reduce in size. The quilts gradually improved as I concentrated on Value rather than colour and I also revised my thinking these quilts were of reduced worth as they were “just leftovers”. The Scrappy quilt became my to go to quilt when there was a person in need of comfort and now I spend equal time on “new” quilts and those satisfying Scrappy ones. I’m eternally grateful for this video for more ways to use up the leftovers make stunning quilts. Keep the Tips, Tricks & Strategies coming!

Thanks for all the great ideas! I cracked up when you said to “embrace the wonk.” I will remember that one! Great video!
Shared with my local guild, based in Iowa City, IA USA. Great ideas for cleaning up, using up, and making simple attractive quilts. Thanks.
Wow my head is spinning! What great ideas. Thanks Karen. I learn so much from you in a short time. Will watch this a few times. Hope you are enjoying your new puppy.
37 years ago I made my first quilt. I took my sisters to an alley where a garment factory used to throw away fabric scraps. The quilt was hideous, but I had a blast doing it. I enjoyed using the quilt for the longest time. I wish I could go back dumpster diving for scraps again.
Simply love your videos, sometimes you just want something simple to do and I always go to you for good advice - thanks for all that you do and keep the videos flowing for us all in the UK
I am about ready to start my first quilt. I have spent weeks watching your videos. I cannot thank you enough for the education and free patterns. Now the decision of determining the pattern for my first quilt!

@@jjrite780 18 patch using Riley Blake Gingham Foundry fabric. Finished the top and have it sandwiched….now to decide the quilting pattern …
Perfect timing! I realized on Saturday that I don't have quite enough of a backing material so I need to add length to it. Some of these blocks styles will be a perfect use of my leftover strips from the top to expand the back.
Thanks for all the ideas and pattern
Karen, I LOVE your videos and am delighted I found you!
Good morning Karen, wow great video I too save my binding strips great ideas for us. I so appreciate your humor. Please stay safe. Lori
These are such simple blocks but so wonderful and look great in a quilt. Such perfect blocks for charity quilts. Thank you for showing us these very cool blocks.

Thank You, Karen! "Embrace the wonky" is my new mantra. Love all of these block ideas and look forward to using them as I whittle my store-bought stash of strips and build up my original block prints on fabric. Best regards!
I have lots of jelly rolls and scraps that I really need to sit down and do something with. Just need to force myself to get started. Thank you again for some great tips and ideas.
Excellent. New to quilting. Like that you’re not complicated and you show straightforward patterns. I’m going to start tomorrow. Thank you.
These are my favourite type of your videos. Thanks for another great stashbuster.
Thanks for this! I tend to get stuck thinking I have to have a plan when I'm making blocks. This seems so relaxing and I feel like in the end you will end up with a unique one of a kind quilt!
You so cheer me up with my growing Mt Stashmoure. I soon plan my first ever quilt with leftover of sewing childrens clothes from old clothes (no straight edges) I love your positive way of talking and it gibes me al lot of strength these days Love from Germany
I absolutely LOVE stash buster 7!!!!
You are so inspiring . Thanks.
I learn and enjoy every one of your videos. Thank you
I recently indulged in jelly rolls (binge!) I opened all of them and they fill a laundry basket. I bought 4 solids. I can run my fingers thru my strips! The rainbow of solids are so pretty. I like the way you make a few blocks and bag them. I get discouraged if I don’t have time to make a whole bunch of blocks. Good patterns. Thanx
Thanks for the inspiration. Block six is my favourite.
You're a wonderful teacher. Thank you for sharing all of your creative ideas. Much appreciated!
Love your videos Karen, they brighten my day everyday. Thank you.
Yes I need to do some of those BLOCK' S thanks for the great video. Karen ☺️
I'm a complete newbie at 50, and I loved your "how to cut straight" video--though I still struggle a little. And this video is great inspiration! And an excuse to buy more fabric! :D
