    I remember a friend basically telling me not to worry about what my daughter does/goes to/sees online because they'll eventually see all the bad stuff anyway. This person was a friend who is intelligent and has a kid himself. But it struck me that he, and most people in today's culture, have become so desensitized to everything that there's virtually nothing that you should try and steer your kids away from, because they'll just eventually see it anyway. Or there's worse things out there. Anyway, you're exactly right, it's a weird set of things that adults today tell themselves, to justify not giving a sh*t about what kids absorb through the internet.

  • @JonathanScarlet

    @JonathanScarlet

    @@adamrad2220 At this point it likely is reasonable to assume they'll find most things on the internet anyways. However, that's no excuse for not being a present and positive enough influence for your kids that they don't become as de-sensitized as you or as addicted as you are/were to them. In fact, the assumption they'll find it anyways should be MORE incentive to give them the right head-space and tools to either interact with them minimal or at least properly. In all honesty, a woman who stands up for herself and says I will not sexualize myself and acts accordingly is more empowering. At least to me. I myself feel more empowered as a black man when I don’t give in to the degeneracy that is imposed on black people today in this country, especially on those who are young. It is most definitely imposed on those who are young black men. I cannot tell you how many times people have directly/indirectly criticized me for not given in to the narrative centered around black people and/or black youths today. I chose to stop streaming because I wanted to start a family and raising my child was more important to me than being online as often as I was. When I was a 10 year old and living in a trailer park one morning in the gutter I found an air freshener you hang in your car. It was of a topless woman exposing her very large chesties. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. Yes it was faded, had been run over by cars, waterlogged from the rain, scuffed up, sun bleached, wrinkled and dirty but it was wonderful. I proceeded to show a few people it and told them to get the word out of what I had and was charging $0.10 a look. I had hidden it in the woods next to the trailer park and I kid you not by noon I had 50+ other children lined up to get their 30 second look at this dirty old air freshener with many getting back in line to look at it again. After 2 days of this one day I came to find someone was spying on me and found where I was hiding it and it was gone, stolen. Literally dollars of money taken from me. This would have been around 1987.

Yes, "conflict" is what drives stories but you don't have to have conflict in every aspect of a character's life! A lot of people that try to join get weird about why the setting would be like that... they almost ALWAYS assume that im posting lewd content in my server even though i would never do that personally. I dont care if other people do, but its frustrating for me to get lumped into that category simply because i dont want kids under 18 hanging out in a server that could potentially have strangers that are twice their age in there. If a kid existed in my server that i created and something happened that i could have potentially helped prevent by changing the age limit, then i could never forgive myself. But also, i wish people would stop seeing 18+ precautions and assume im making sexual content. It doesnt always have to go to that assumption, but 90% of the time it does, and im sad that i always feel like i need to explain myself.

    That's feminism's war on the family unit, it is about capitalizing on female sxxuality. Because the only men that would stop that are fathers, as head of the household. They are the only ones who want to protect their daughter's values. So feminism encourages divorce and a moral race to the bottom. Taking off your clothes is called empowerment, and any man who objects is controlling and should have his children alienated from him by the family court.

    @@PaulJohnson-zv3hl You misunderstood, i am not arguing that an increase in poverty (can) not lead to more sexwork. I am arguing the perception of sexwork. As in, it can be empowering AND a sign of a failing system. The empowerment comes from today's woman being able to choose to engage with it. And most importantly, when to stop. They also get more of what they earn through means like onlyfans, while working from an (physically) safe environment. All that while not being pushed out of towns, not being insulted or even hurt. I chose "whore" because it is a good example of why sexwork can be empowering. As in the past a woman would, as you correctly mentioned, "devalue" herself. Something that was historically not equally applied to a man engaging in similar activities. The christian faith(Or its religious interpretation) for example placed Sin onto the woman, describing her as the root for men's desire for sex. Which is why woman (No just in the christian west) where to dress themself up to now show off their "sinful nature" and corrupt the men around them. This is why dressing "slutty" is also a form of empowerment, as woman oppose forced objectification through chosen display of what was objectified. Even if you fully oppose sexwork of any kind, you have to acknowledge that being able to freely choose "bad decisions" is a result of empowerment.

    one of the main reasons why onlyfans drastically shifted from normal content to NSFW content was because leonid radvinsky, the owner of myfreecams (a corn site) acquired 75% ownership. after that it became basically fully for NSFW content

    They also made the mistake of propping up Amouranth as a "top creator" for their platform and used her in tons of advertising, despite knowing all she does is scam her audience. Then her sales made up too much of the site's profit to do anything about her.

    then why the search only feature? why work like Snapchat if it's for crowd funding? don't you think a search bar helps crowd funding? invite only is a very bad way to get attention. I don't buy your story

    I literally didnt see any of this stuff until adulthood, but I purposefully kept away for a while as a kid. I had other kids on my soccer team and in high school constantly try to show me stuff like that

    "Frankly, these women should be praised for thinking outside the box and pandering to an audience that isn't over saturated." Let me fix what he means. "... outside the box and sexually pandering to children because they aren't a saturated market for porn yet." There we go.

    @@AlbertoMartinez765 If a kid isn't being monitored in what they are watching, they most definitely will not be monitored in how they spend Daddy's credit card. You've seen the stories of families being bankrupt by Roblox right? Could you not imagine a kid trying to look cool for his friends for getting an attractive woman putting their name on their body or say their name? Because getting attention is really cool for the new generations. They love anything parasocial. Where I went to school more than 15 years ago, kids had smartphones and their own credit cards from their parents. It's even more prevalent now and way less parenting is going on. I'm sure there's teenage whales out there 100%.
