Investing in the arts is as valid as investing in anything else, it's not just for 'arty painter types' (which is quite a snobbish attitude some people have, just because they cant expand their minds beyond their singular existence to consider the bigger picture for one second) it encompasses writing, poetry, music also - cities need culture to flourish too, not just bloody trains...
