Ishmael sounds West Indian. I'm a black American and I love the diversity of London. All of the employees seem dedicated. They give it their all and take pride in their work. And that London Tube train set looks nice. It sucks how the train broke down on a single track. They did everything right, yet a delay still occurred.
Kingsbury... my home station. Thank you for these uploads!
Some overground services, especially local ones into London can be very frequent, for example 1 train every 20 minutes / half an hour on some lines, so they're not all that bad. The trains on the underground will never become fully driver less, each train will still have someone on board who is able to take over at the touch of a button in case of emergency so people will still be required for that. As I said, it's a case of starting from the bottom up and seeing where hard work takes you.
Most of the recruiting for the positions of train operators are done within the company, and have been for some time, only very rarely is a job advertised externally (ie to the public). Some good advice would be to get a job on the underground (for example ticket officer, station assistant etc) and go from there.
Ayy that Des Moffat became my Psychology teacher
"Running a 21st century railway" erm.. Are you sure about that? Because I'm pretty sure *21st century* stands for air con, station ventilation and lines that don't get collapsed because "a signal failure at X station" has made all services stop.

Anything ad complicated as a railway will always have faults. Using signal failures as evidence that any rail system is out of date is ridiculous.

@@seanolaocha940 Spot on.
i watched the 7/7 part quite intresting
There aim to go pretty much driver less on the network is 2018, it might be worth looking at overground instead to be honest - quite a few train companies still advertise externally for driving positions which is good news for you!
nicce is this still showing
lol spiders derailing trains
The music is the only thing
@jabz1101 I don't think you can go straight to train operator. You probably have to start as a general employee by London transport. Go to "Transport for London" website. Then subsequently to 'contact' and place your query. Good luck
Oh ok, thanks! I worry by the time i'd have experience to apply they might just PSA like on the DLR with all these automatic trains
Which routes recruit the most?
@Trek001 they need new episodes they been doing repeats since 2001/5 ???
@slaughterkid11 Only every so often as a repeat.

ye real shame, if u r going to be a driver make sure o go either on the met, circle, h&c or district line as they have just got knew trains and the s are manual! :)

@AROBLOXZStudios im not sure but they did show it i couldnt remember sorry maybe you type it in
@Trek001 oh ok thanks
@AROBLOXZStudios anytime
hi every1 im going to turn 18 in 17 days and ive dreamed of becoming a train operator can you give me advice and qulifications i need thank you
I don't really like the Overground- trains are too infrequent, meaning less opportunities, I would have thought. But the unions will fight tooth and nail so driverless trains could be delayed beyond 2025 lool. I really would like TfL over any other train company cause I love London!
To me that's poor- i'm used to Victoria line trains running at about every 2 minutes! I know, it will be like the DLR but the 'drivers' will have to take a paycut eventually to have a similar pay to the PSAs. I will loool
O thats rather dissapointing though to be honest I don't really mind driving any train
