Just recently found Corb this dude is a country legend! So many songs hit close to home in Oklahoma.

@@MrNewman7336 : Although Michigan is a long way from Oklahoma and Western Canada, his music hits home here as well. Be it farming/ranching or even oil, oh yes, we have a little crude here in The Mitten State too! He resonates with the working class of folk and that’s where my roots were planted.
This song always reminds me of sitting around the camp fire with the old Cowboys from the Milk River country.
this song always makes me stare up at the sky wondering if this world's gonna make it through all we do to harm it. The world's changin and the Cowboys are gettin lost in society and now thanks to Corb our voices are bein heard once again :)

This is instantly a Canadian classic.
He’s such a deep person. Poet cowboy.♥️
Wish I found his music years ago. Very deep and truly artistic. This north ID boy, seen warmer winters last 20 years, had close grizzly cougar encounters in my mule deer spots, where I never use to see grizzly before. This song is too true.

Brilliant - Corb is a lyrical genius Alberta is wonderful
Some awesome country music coming out of Alberta 🤠🇨🇦
one of the most haunting, beautiful, best songs I've ever heard.
Who could dislike this song? Two people kinda piss me off. Even if you love pop music or pop country music you should respect this and I'm a Zeppelin, Rush, and Ray Wylie Hubbard fan.
One of my favorite Corb songs... very powerful.
i love this song. one of my favorite songs by him!

This song gives me chills.
Corb Lund speaks truth
one of the few songs that makes the hair stand up on the back of neck........haunting.
The truth comes out as the fire burns low It comes to light as only embers glow The whiskey talks, the west wind moans in the night The deadfall's gathered and the branches are cut Kindling crackles and the smoke curls up The small sticks catch then the bigger stuff will burn Chinook dies down as the dark descends Pine is burned, the ash is cleansed The message smolders, is lost, but finally sent Connie says she's never seen the cougars so bold They're comin in the yard and they're stealin young colts They drag em in the brush with the claws sunk in their nose The weather's been funny thirty years or so The winters got warm, not as much snow Hear the big cats comin cuz there's nowhere left to go You gotta look out for bear when you're fishing on lee's creek They'll come round the bend and they'll make your knees weak There's grizzlies where there was no grizzly bears before Half heard voices from the ghosts, from the graves The grandfathers tell us at the mouths of the caves Only old chiefs older than jesus can save us now, if we're lucky White man light a big fire, stay cold The red man's warmer, but the old man's old The antelope seeks the buffalo in the night The antelope mourns the buffalo in the night You gotta look out for bear when you're fishing on lee's creek They'll come round the bend and they'll make your knees weak There's grizzlies where there was no grizzly bears before The truth comes out as the fire burns low It comes to light as only embers glow The antelope mourns the buffalo in the night
Man Corb is so underrated
Corb Lund is the country version of Warren Zevon. Incredible lyrics, distinctive voice and, for some reason, relatively unknown in the mainstream.
I was born in 2005 and to know this was uploaded when I was just to years old but I still find it enjoyable to listen just makes it special
This song sure hits different today.

I agree with the changes. Winter of 2005,2006 was anything but. We did not get a good snow until the end of February. and January was so warm we had wildflower popping up and everything was brown up to Edmonton and beyond.
Great song by the boys!!
I’m ready let’s go ❤
This song can relate to soo mnay things luv it!!! :D
@0:30 that sums up the west....beautiful and golden, and off in the distance, the white winter veil of don't you dare! "I am here to freeze you, starve you, and make you wish you were back in Philadelphia".

Very good song! Nice moods in the video, but its pity that the quality of the video is so bad.

Good song but sounds VERY similar to Huskies and Husqvarnas by Tim hus another amazing and underated artist
Any of his music available for MP3 download?
fucking rights!!
My question is where in Canada or the USA is that obvious megalithic pyramid at about 27 seconds into the video? And why is it not being researched?!
