Franklin being instantly denied access to the Epsilon website based on IP address actually makes sense considering that story-wise, he comes from a black (and thus poor) neighbourhood and even speaks to Michael about his conditions growing up early in the story. Considering Epsilon is only interested in leeching rich individuals, it makes perfect sense why Franklin was denied. Trevor is also probably due to him living out in the countryside where most people ain't rich, so again - little monetary interest. Michael was the perfect target for the Epsilon Program as he was the paradigm candidate - rich middle-aged man living in a rich mansion suffering from a midlife crisis.

Michael questions the orders in the first couple of missions but then stops the questioning and logic halfway through. (spirits have e-mail part cracked me up) He sees more and more epsilonists every mission. He doesnt want to stick out so he starts adapting. But in the last mission Michaels insticts kick in when he sees the money. He values dollars more than so called inner peace.

Nah, he was skeptical from the very beginning to the end. You can see he's being unserious (replying "Kifflom" at whatever bullshit he was being told), and maybe a little bit amused. He was probably going along for shit and giggles. This fits the choice with stealing, and I personally consider it to be the correct/canon choice for this side mission (partly bc of the additional voice lines the other choice was lacking).

In the movie (and game) it beeps and tells you if what you wre looking at is a supernatural object or if a supernatural entity has interacted with it, although obviously the Reader in GTA V probably just reads radio signals, considering it led Michael and Boston to an old TV

It was first introduced in _San Andreas_ on the Entertaining America portion of WCTR when Lazlow conducted an interview with Cris (voiced in both _SA_ and _V_ by Fred Melamed, best known for his roles in _A Serious Man_ and the third season of _Fargo_ ). It was then referenced once or twice in _Liberty City Stories_ and even further in _IV_ both on the internet and on the radio (on the Intelligent Agenda portion of PLR, Vinewood actor Brandon Roberts yells, "Kifflom!"). Of course, _V_ obviously features it more prominently thanks to its setting and storyline, but it's been part of the series since the 3D Era. If _VI_ features a parody of Clearwater, Florida, then I'd totally expect to find another Epsilon center there, as in real-life Scientology maintains a large presence in Clearwater. Also, I think it should be noted that Marnie was a random character you could encounter in _IV,_ in which she was a prostitute who was addicted to heroin. In the second encounter, Niko gives her some money to catch a train out of Liberty City. Her dark backstory helps explain why she fell into Epsilonism and is the way she is when Michael meets her in LS.

Fun fact about the end of the mission after donating $5000, if you keep the camera facing Marnies general direction, you can go as far as you want from her and the mission wont actually end, at least not until you turn the camera away from her general direction Another fun fact, whenever you're in the FIB building, if you walk into the tvs in the building they glitch out and the screens detatch to reveal a 2nd screen underneath showing the Epsilon program so maybe the FIB is even in on the Epsilon thing too

Hey in GTA Online i think you can/could make your character a descendant of John Marston. I dont remember if this was a limited time thing or if i hallucinated it. edit: Also i think the whole thing is a scientology reference. A suprising amount of celebrities have "bought" into it.

  • @KC.45

You can make your GTA Online Protagonist *THE SON of John Marston* from *Red Dead Redemption* . It clearly says *"Father"* on the text. That whole "descendant of John Marston" part *was invented by the GTA Wiki many years ago* , when they firmly believed GTA and Red Dead were meant to be set in the same universe.

@@KC.45 Wouldn't you be the son of Jack Marston? Also this would still make you a descendant, even though we don't commonly call grandchildren descendants.

@@robertfaucher3750 Does Jack Marston have scars which were caused by wolves across his face? I thought so. You either don't want to understand or you just missing what's *plainly obvious* in what I said before.

@robertfaucher3750 no. Stop arguing and being pedantic. The option in game was for john. Not Jack. John. So no it wouldnt make you Jacks anything. Rockstar simply gave you the option to have John as a dad just cause haha funny. Thats all.

  • @robertfaucher3750

@@CJ2808 I wasn't being pedantic or argumentative. I just didn't remember it specifically mentioning him by name. Seeing as I didn't even remember it was in the game, it should be more understandable that I didn't remember that detail either. Also a son is someone's direct descendant. It's just weird to say it like that. Like, my father is my ancestor but we don't normally think of them that way.

Step 1- the truck, exists as an initiation. It determines how dedicated someone is to joining. You'd have to be dedicated to pay $500 after getting beat up. It also doubles as reinforcement of determination as part of a sunk cost. You got beaten up, might as well continue, otherwise it would have been for nothing. Saints Row had something similar called "Canonizing"
