I truly hope and pray the writing quality of GTA6 improves somewhat. I just can't replay V anymore because even the better story beats are ruined by bits of Rockstar Cringe Dialogue TM.
I find it a little strange that only Franklin, can do this mission and not Michael, when he’s more into movies and the entertainment industry.
@devinpaul9026

Convenient though. Franklin can own the cab company-- free transpo you don't have to engage with. He can alternately take Chop along in case he runs into any hostiles. However I still think it's bullshit you can't take Chop in the cab AS THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY?!

It’s because the collectables are required for 100% and you can get 100% with any of the other endings so Franklin’s strangers only count for it
@Longshanks1690

Yeah, Michael seems a lot more thematically appropriate since I think he would see a lot of Tracey in Leonora and would easily imagine Dreyfus doing the same to her. Franklin isn’t devoid of apathy or justice but it’s not really a central theme of his character, whereas family is central to Michael. Not even mentioning the fact that both of them got away with their crimes, but obviously Michael is still the more moral character because he didn’t take joy out of what he felt he had to do. Just a strange choice to have it be possible only with him.

my only frustration with the Dreyfuss situation is how we can't kill him slower. most of the time, we either just blow up his car or land a headshot, that's just too quick for what he did

Like how we tortured that guy in the Steve Haines mission. Then on the other hand I don’t think Rockstar would find it a good idea in finding satisfaction by brutally torturing people to death even if they somewhat deserve it. Rockstar games can be very dark sometimes, but I think there’s a line to draw as well.

There is a mission in GTA IV called To Live And Die In Alderney
One thing that's funny is you can shoot out his tires before confronting him and he'll make note of it before running off on foot. It makes the chase afterward much easier. But the way you stopped him was significantly more badass.
22:11 absolutely the sickest one liner/kickflip combo I've eger seen. 12/10
It's nice to have something like this not cease to left as an easter egg, but you're actually able to 'solve it' and do something about it.
I can’t help but feel this mystery was kind of underdeveloped. It’s one thing for Niko to interact with Eddie Low only a couple times since he’d never interact with him any other way, but a huge part of Michael’s story in GTA V is being part of Vinewood as Solomon’s Executive Producer. Wouldn’t that have been the perfect place to introduce Dreyfus first as a character? Not a central plot component or anything, but like, one mission wheee you meet him and get the sense that this guy is something of a freak so that seed of suspicion could be planted? Or that you meet the guy behind the website in the game as a Stranger? Hell, make it an ironic twist that the site owner is stalking Dreyfus and Michael has to beat tf out of him as a favour for Solomon. So first time round, we think we’re doing a good thing but after the letter is rebuilt, we see the crazy guy was right all along. Idk, just _something_ to make it more satisfying when you actually kill this guy so you have some connection to him and not just some rando who is only in one cutscene of the game. (And also, Michael should have been the one to do it. Justice isn’t really all that important to Franklin but family is central to Michael, and he would doubtless see a lot of Leonora in Tracey.)

22:05 Coldest Franklin Moment W
Last few minutes were definitely pretty important for anyone to hear. Fuck man, the way we treat true crime as this form of entertainment rather than horrific acts of violence done to innocent people is so sad to see.
When I first started this quest, I thought it was going to be more involved. It's still a nice addition to the game, though. This video was excellent - especially the satisfaction of offing Dreyfus
Fun fact, if you shoot the tires of dreyfuss’s car before triggering the mission, he’ll be running away from you and it’ll make things much more easier
I know it's already been confirmed to be heavily inspired by the Black Dahlia case, but my god does it not send chills whenever I hear it. Seriously, how did they do that to that poor girl and no one noticed her being placed in that park so log ago?

I have played this game multiple times on multiple generations of consoles and have somehow never heard of ANY of this. Holy hell man…….
I think mission suits Franklin. Michael wouldn't care so much about shady business mentioning solomon and his family. He is too much of a fan to research something harmful to them. I remember solomon richards talking trash about his son. Maybe solomon knew all that and angry that his son reveal it?

Its been a while since I watched your video and I have to say you got me hooked with this one. 26 minutes went by as an instant and the story is incredible. Though I got pissed about the driving while chasing this maniac, the finale made it so much sweeter.
I'm glad you're taking a look at these older mysteries. Sure, other creators made videos about this stuff, but that was ten years ago! Love to see it again now.

Hey, man. Never came across that story-line but I loved the "Victory Roll". Classy and fitting way to take out that piece of scum.
I haven't played this mission but I'm glad Franklin was doing this Mission. Michael or Trevor would lighten up the tone while Franklin can keep it serious. Which is just right for this mission.

And I'm watching this video on March 15h, 2024... What a coincidence! Great content! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Having Franklin do this mission instead of Michael will always be a little confusing for me. But deep down I love it because it truly does fit in with Franklin's slightly higher morality than Michael's. Plus it's almost therapeutic to watch Franklin confront the man who tortured and murdered a young woman simply because he could.
Idk why but these videos are better than any other that I have watched
That barrel roll following the explosion was smooth af.
I just love the speech yu said at the end
Another banger vid
Solid video with a barrel roll during the mission complete screen to really sell that Hollywood movie magic as the vigilante takes out the corrupt corporate type in an explosion after a wild car chase. Which is all so very cinematic 😂
9:05-9:17 "Butters, what have we told you about confessing to crimes you didn't commit?" sprung to mind
22:04 that car driving up the hill, the most dramatic npc
man this cinematics rock!
I love the gta5 videos, a great game with a deep story that I honestly forgot after over a decade of gta online
This is quite the easter egg in the GTA 5 game. The lore here is incredible. You may as well be a GTA detective in this particular case
I love this! I was wondering about this bit of lore for a couple years now, if they simply left it unsolved or made it part of the game. This just satisfied both the gamer and the true crime lover in me, if that makes any sense 😂 even in GTA, seeing justice served is a great feeling for a case like this lol
i’ve never seen this one before, super cool!
It would have been more fun and entertaining to have Trevor kill Dreyfuss. For him to realize how doomed he was and that there was someone crazier than him.
I got all the collectables on the 360 version back in the day and it was definitely one of the more tedious collectable hunts I've ever done lol. Anyway, fun video. Imma assume for story reasons, Franklin got the right guy but it is real silly of him to have wrote that letter 🤭

i think saying its purely morbid curiosity is wrong, theres also a sense of wanting justice, finality. and wanting to know the circumstances of an unusual situation
The picture of her hands being put for feet and her feet for hands used to scare me

This has such a good resolution. A cutscene and everything. Vigilante AND public justice. 22:02 uuunnnngghhh
what happens if you let him go? is there any news articles or email sent from him to franklin? (great video btw)
You could also say another meaning of her story is to show how horribly young women are treated in tv and film. They are often taken advantage of and sought out when they are too young to know any better about what they are doing. Even the GTA writing fucks up and tells us she is 15, but describes her as having "child-like naivete". 15 is a child; but she's expected to behave like an adult, since men find her desirable.
I accidently stumble this mystery but seeing a white paper on one of the locations while I was trying to do 100% completion. My curiosity get ahead of me by starting to search the map and even searching google to help me with the search.
It was wow. Thanks
They are definitely gonna have fun with Florida man mysteries
This is what I love about rockstar adding this sort of stuff to the game! My god the next gta is going to be amazing!
22:10omg that was absolutely beautiful moment
I enjoyed exploring the world and finding the scraps, even if it is repetitive
Can't wait to see what happens with GTA 6.
This game is a masterpiece
"Which is where i stole this s##tbox from" caught me off guard, not to mention it shows a picture of a clean restored vintage car
Sad thing is your video which are so good are not getting views
Rockstar’s newspapers and internet reads are so amusing
Honestly I left the collectibles for last since I knew after a while of circling the map anyway I might as well gather all of them to make it interesting (I know I'm weird) but I managed to get 'em all (insert pokemon meme here) as always loving the content ♥
Sick barrel roll
Fizhy you can always do videos about the alien parts, Nigel & Mrs Thronhill & The Altruiest cult
I’m glad they caught this killer
I would enjoy seeing a video on the space car 🚗
I was in the 6th grade when gtav came out. I got messed up nightmares with Lenora and slenderman
How do I trigger collecting scraps to this mission?
I mean i finished all the story missions and the side missions. Might as well just enjoy scouring around lost Santos finding collectibles
