Speaking as a British man in his late thirties, I say this: life moves on! It was sad that Diana died so young and so violently, but plenty of other women died in car crashes that year. It was awful that William and Harry lost their mother, but plenty of other children lost a parent that year. Charles and Camilla loved each other, still do, and they're enjoying their twilight years together. Nobody's perfect, and we all have to seek an imperfect "happy ending" 👍

This is what happens when royals don’t marry for love. He loved Camila from the start and it was known. But tradition or whatever forced him to marry someone else. I think it IS right that the love of his life is crowned. You can love and admire Princess Diana and also be happy for the fact that he is now married for love at the same time. Those two feelings don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

Her image won’t be on Canadian currency as she is the consort to the king. You never saw Prince Phillip’s face on Canadian currency did you? No because he was the consort to the Queen. All consort means is spouse

Charles should of been forced to abdicate for marrying a commoner and divorcee. Edward VIII had too, why didn't Charles? One set of rules for one batch and another set for another. Fortunately Charles won't have a long run like his mother.

Charles was also divorced but because of Diana’s death they could also class him as a widower. It isn’t a one set of rules for one and different for the other situation, it is a change in the time and rules of the church. As for marrying a commoner William is an heir to the throne and Catherine is a commoner so you cannot use that codswallop as a reason.

You do know that Charles and Diana got divorced? Regardless of whether Charles married Camilla, Diana was never going to be queen. And none of it would have happened if Charles had been allowed to marry Camilla in the first place.

It’s a shame to see a country waste their taxpayers money on a family that has never done a honest days work in their life. If it was so important, then they should’ve paid for it themselves. After all they get special right tax breaks so they don’t have to pay the value of their property.

As a Brit I can honestly say with all sincerity … all the tradition … pomp and pageantry… the cheering masses… the undisputed love for our new king and especially our new Queen… the marvellous display of noble military tradition.. Our well trained and much admired police force who made the day so pleasant for everyone … with hand on heart I can say I’m nothing but embarrassed and sick to the stomach… a very bad day for our democracy….

Don't worry guys. It won't last long. Lady Di is the true mother of the future king. Her baby and bloodline will start the rule eventually! Diana was every bit of how a true queen should be if I ever saw one.

Yes, KC is the oldest monarch to be crowned but I can't say what you said is true for Catherine and William. They are lively and lovely people.

It did when it was made. Then in 1937 the stone was moved to Queen Mother's crown, a crystal was put in its place for display purposes. When Mary's crown chosen for Camilla, they decided not to put koh I noor back in, and made a different design on the front with diamonds from brooches. The koh I noor remains in the Queen Mother crown which is unlikely to he used again. All the crowns are on display in the Tower of London.

Koh I noor was taken from Queen Mary's crown in 1937 and put in Queen Mother's crown. A crystal was put in its place for display purposes. When the Mary crown was selected for Camilla, they didn't put the koh I noor back in as it's too contentious. So they made a different front part with smaller stones from brooches. Koh I noor will stay in the Queen Mother crown which is unlikely to be used again.

So not really breaking tradition, if others in the past have used other monarchs crowns.
