@@bwiser5206 Um, Jackson doesn't work for them anymore, and I don't remember him being the batshit crazy owner, or the other management that insisted on a stupid, horrible, expensive deal to get and keep Anthony--do you? I was glad to see him leave Denver, but Jackson's hands were tied, New York basically made Anthony untouchable, and they definitely made him untradeable--and that wasn't Jackson's decision--he wanted Anthony the fuck out of there--and rightly fucking so. Anthony ain't won shit his whole career--it's him, it's not anybody else. And what has Phil Jackson won? Ask yourself that question, so you can understand when I say: I got no idea what you're talking about, man. Phil Jackson called Anthony worthless--not in so many words--and he was right. The Knicks have been a toxic, horribly run team pretty much since Patrick Ewing retired, and/or Isaiah Thomas ran them completely onto the fucking rocks, because they gave him too much power over shit he didn't understand, and couldn't be trusted with. Phil Jackson didn't even have the power to get rid of Anthony's cancerous ass, so I'm pretty sure he's not to blame for the shitshow that is the New York Knicks. Pretty sure it's the ownership and the management other than Jackson who lasted, what, a couple of years?

Lin had the worse stretch of his career when playing Miami and few other teams can’t remember off top of my head. Those game she averaged 7 turnovers. Teams figured him out. Chalmers took away his right hand and made him drive left. After that he was injured and took big money to go to Houston. Most of that time Melo was out because he was injured. How did he ruin Lins career again? Because I’m a knicks fan and I watched every damn game. Lin has always been a back up at best, he had a great stretch and has never played like that again.

@Carmelo Anthony then you know that his team his rookie year with the nuggets was filled with role players but a true scorer and not for nothing but every coach but Woodson had said the same thing about melo he won't play D or sacrifice for his team he's good at scoring but as you've seen since roughly 2 years after amare left his shot and legs weren't there but he still wanted the rock the greats find ways to contribute for their team be it role or mentor playing for the newer players . I follow all tri state ball from Kenny at Georgia tech to some current guys . But if coach Karl says a guy is one sided then take it as real deal the man coached plenty of head cases as well as greats . Ijs and lin is trash btw tbh he lacks transition D at the pg level has a average j but studies the court similar to Calderon who is one of the smartest ball shot, pass to turnover ratio the Knicks have had since the mark Jackson days . I'm more into what they going to do since they got rid of our only superstar to clear cap and finally got bad contracts moved . stay up and blessed

I still laugh at that money they gave Melo in NY. They refused to give Jeremy Lin that money, then turned around and brought in, J. Kid, Marcus Camby, Sheed, Kurt Thomas, Raymond Felton etc... That 54 win season was fools gold and I knew it right away. I am a Knicks fan, but they are one of the dumbest organizations ever. So Lin goes to Houston, had a couple of solid seasons, gets jerked around by Kevin McKail... Goes to the Lakers, gets jerked around by Byron.... I've always said, those 2-3 yrs, the Knicks were supposed to protect Lin and get a good experienced guard to help him... He would have been one of the greatest Guards the Knicks ever had. You want to know something funny? During all those trails and tribulations, Lin actually became a MUCH better player than he was during Linsanity. Anyone that kind of follows him knows how good Lin is. When he went to BK, those injuries KILLED him... The Knicks had TWO chances to get him back, After the Lakers season and after that season with the Hornets and they absolutely REFUSED! So you bring Felton back and not Lin? I am looking at him this year, and see that he is slowly getting back to form. He hasn't really lost a step and see that he has added even more to his game.

That guy is just an average League player. There are tons of point guards better than him. To be brutally honest he's not really a point guard because a solid Defender will take the ball from him going up the court. The Heat did when he was in NY. His left hand is extremely weak. That's how the Rockets lost to Portland. If he could dribble with his left hand he would have went into the Open floor where they would have no choice but to foul him. Instead he dribbled to the Baseline with his right hand gets trapped and the ball stolen. Not saying the guys bad. He's just average.

Everyone’s problem is because of Linsanity people are expecting him to be a superstar but when the dust settles he’s a decent starter/good backup pg on a contending team at his max potential which is very good for an undrafted player. He’s still the best Knicks pg in the past 10 years it’s sad we decide to get stingy with him of all people. They let him walk because melo didn’t want him back plain and simple. When Lin played us after that year he torched us every time especially on the Hornets.

Jordan played terrible on ball d. Both of them were continually torched by their counterparts. However they played good help d which is a whole nother point. This is one of the most thorough analysis on melo as to why he got pushed out of nba. His case is a good lesson for everyone: in order to succeed in anything (and/or leave a good legacy), it takes more than just technical skill sets. He cannot get a spot in 450-player league of nba and I am sure he is probably technically better than a half of 450 players in the nba today . He should retire and take a lesson from this experience and move onto next thing in his life. His story humbles me as well.

I watched almost every Knicks game since Melo. He always got me tight when he never passed the ball or played defense. Just jab jab hold the ball. Thinking about it now D’antoni was trying to again giv the team a different type of offense, Lin was a guard who can shoot, play make, pass, Dantoni can always create a system around that, & wanted to move Melo to the 4, but Melo didn’t wanna do nothing or hear nothin or even wanted Lin to succeed, when Melo came back from injury during Linsanity Yu can see it in his play he didn’t wanna share the court w Lin. I was just like whyyy Melo. Then I watched him on Thunder & Rockets still bein my top 3 fav player but after that Thunder series I had to accept what it was. Melo sucks & he never cared to adjust any part of his game. Melo literally plays the same exact way from day 1. If he wudda played different in that Dantoni system w Lin, I think Melo would of been prepared for this “new” nba thts more 3pt driven. Now he “might” go to the Lakers. I don’t want that to happen cause I don’t want Melo embarrassing himself any longer.

Best video ever on Carmelo Anthony. I still remember when Carmelo came back from his injury when Linsanity was at is peak and he played 1 game, just 1 game the way Mike D'antoni wanted him to play ( without the ball in his hands and spacing the court so Lin could penetrate and break the defense to make plays) and the Knicks won the game. When they interviewed Carmelo in the lockeroom he was literally angry and said he was not going to play like that no more. He didn't acknowledge that they won the game and that the strategy worked he was just upset he didn't get enough touches and post-ups. A few days later Mike D' Antoni was gone and the Knicks just kept on losing playing Carmelo Anthony style. That to me told me Carmelo was never going to win in the NBA and he never did. He just rather lose and score 25 points than to adjust his game and win.

He already made his millions. He definitely made his mark in the history of basketball, more of a scar than anything. It's hard to imagine how he should be in the hall of fame next to players like Jordan, Magic, Bird, etc. Players that actually had winning in mind. Players that did whatever they had to do to win. If he played in the 70s he would blend right in to the "I'm gonna get mine, who gives a shit about the team or whether or not we win". I'd take Tim Duncan any day of the week, and that's not even based on championship rings.
