I'm sorry if I've missed the answer to this question being in one of your videos, but I have not seen the answer in the few videos of yours that I watched. I have an Epson R280 photo printer. I'm using refillable ink cartridges. I'm bothered by the printer telling me that any given cartridge is out of ink, when I know it's not. I have to go through the process of removing the cartridge, then replacing it back for the printer to think the cartridge has been changed. There seems to be no master reset so that I can make all cartridges be seen as full when I refill all of them and install them. Do you know of a way for me to reset all cartridges to be seen as new and full? If this is in one of your videos, then please point me to that link.

Yesterday, I was letting youtube videos auto play. I would listen to a video's audio every now and then, and as I listened to a video titled, "The truth about epson cartridges," I was deeply convinced, without a doubt, that this was the voice of a friend from a long time ago that taught me a little something about milling on a drill press. It was a vhs tape and the recording was crappy. Although I wasnt sure if it was my vhs player or the actual recording to blame, the content was very very informative and the hispanic guy in the video was very intelligent. Now, I ask you, is this the same Jose Rodriguez from the video tape, MILLING ON THE DRILL PRESS? Your voice has never changed, and your hair is whiter than snow my friend. It looks good on you! P.S. Jose, what if u cut a hole or opening in the empty oem case, refilled it, and then effectively sealed it? Surely it would work if the same ink was used? (I was thinking about using a drill bit but you would then have plastic particles inside.) KZread, THIS GUY RIGHT HERE, JOSE RODRIGUEZ, IS WITH THE BUSINESS. THE DUDE IS SMART.

I've covered that many times over. I edit in Adobe Lightroom and print with Qimage Ultimate.

Hi Mr. Rodriguez I'm driving myself crazy trying to decide what printer to buy. I have tried both epson and canon eco tank printers. The text was great but not good for photos. I'm looking for something I can print text and photos. I did watch some of your last last show and liked the idea of the precision ink. Is that type of ink less expensive in the long run? And do you have any suggestions as to what type of inket printer I should lean towards. I do like canon. Thank you.

According to their website they do not. They are located in Canada but ship from nearby Niagra Falls New York to the US. They recommend using international forwarding services to other countries. Precision Colors ships to the US address of the forwarding service. The forwarding services repackages and ships anywhere in the world, taking care of all the paper work and regulations, etc. Check out MYUS......looks interesting: www.myus.com/ Hope the cost is not prohibitive. They do not.

I bought my Canon MX922 in 2018 and have been using after market ink cartridges from LD Products and have no problem. The colors have a barely noticeable faded look but I use it at home just to printout documents and that is fine for me. I recently bought a refill kit with ink from BCH with 3 colors and two blacks. I refilled two cartridges so far and they are they look close to O.E.M.

I recently purchased an epson wf2850. Is it possible to buy refillable ARC cartridges for them? If not is it hard or possible to set it up to run chipless cartridges?

There are no Chipless cartridges for any printer. You would need refillable cartridges with Auto reset chips if they exist at all. If you want 100% always FULL ink levels then you need to install the INKCHIP solution for that model found here: inkchip.net/model/

Fantastic! You seem to really know your stuff about printers. Wish I would have found your channel here a few months ago. Just bought an EcoTank thinking it might be much more cost effective and reliable than other inkjets we've owned. Just to find that the Canon ink bottles are proprietary, with non-removeable nozzles! What a JOKE! Look easy enough to refill, and people claim to not need replacing ink after a year's worth of printing. Hearing a lot about an error which a tech-savvy consumer (like myself) is unable to fix. We'll see! If I can repair our old printer, we can return it at least. Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to teach people!

WOW! So THAT'S why some cartridges we've refilled emit a non-genuine ink warning. And an inevitable failure to print until GENUINE cartridges are purchased and installed.

Because each chip has a unique color identification code which cannot be changed. It is recorder into the printers memory so when you then reset the chip it sees it as the same one it previously saw as EMPTY but now it's magically at full level. So it knows it's been tampered with.

If you mean CISS units, they work IF set up perfectly and only with a few EPSON Printer models. Otherwise I am not a proponent.

You keep referencing OEM cartridges as superior (which is likely true 99% of the time) as if it matters one little bit that they are superior when OEM product is not even available for sale. For a long list of printer models including the Epson 2200, OEM is not an option- end of story, just move on. There are no OEM T034 sets of ink available. Not one person on KZread bothers to present the Epson 2100/2200 T034 cartridge alternatives. Replacement cartridges that are actually available to buy. Today. And then show us the prints and detail the shortcomings/ advantages between brands of cartridges and the better pigment inks.
