A full time editor would help in so many ways. If we can help increase KZread revenue be his could be achieved and not just allow Stephanie more time off but more creative and organised time which we would all see the benefit off. I watched some old vlogs over the weekend where many of the team were also filming, which was fun and might help the general day to day stuff at the moment without Stephanie always having to be present. Selmar is a wise guy. Dont ever never let You tube take over so you forget that you have a life to live, a life that is filled with everything, not only cameras and channels. I think you should think carefully about how many channels you put out there, what they all give to you, and what is necessary for you to live your life at the fullest potential. Scotman said the same thing, listen to your loved ones, they know you best and no one want you to burn out. I know La Land is your baby, and to be honest, there is no need to have all those channels to make you, and the chateau living your full potential. Take care of your self, and dont forget to live in the moment, and that you deserve to live at La Land without a camera glued to your hand.. You have been to hospital twice, it is something that should make your inner alarm bell to ring. You are doing great, dont overdo it, if you do, it wont be that great anymore. For your own sake.. This channel is superb, nothing you do can top it, i think many of us can sign on to that. You are precious, please take care of your self Stephanie! Having a difficult time this Mothers Day as I just lost my dear Mom two weeks ago at the age of 97. I am grateful however to have had her in my life for so many years. It is a bittersweet day filled with wonderful memories. No matter what they say you are never ready to say goodbye. Watching the Chateau Diaries cheers me up.

I don’t know how old mummy is but I think I’m older. I love the interaction between her and her children and the other Lalanders. Great respect for her opinion.

This is transformative. 30 million views from all over the world sitting down together, drawn together by the Lalande family. You are helping to create a new global community that might be the best hope for the future.

As a 911 operator I deal with a lot of stress and sadness. This Vlog over the last year makes me laugh and smile for at least an hour plus a week. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for that. I savor the diaries and watch them when I most need that lift. Also get an editor so you don’t get burned out! I need you to stay healthy for my sanity!

That would not work. Editing is how she tells her story of Lalaned her way. She is the author. A different editor would be like hiring a ghost writer She should decrease the number of Vlogs.

Yes! Maybe split it in the beginning between her and an editor. A good editor studies the style of the vlogger and sometimes it is trial and error but that’s also what we are here for, feedback of things that work and things that don’t. Sometimes editors can even make things better and add their own unique touches that really work. An editor would allow her time to relax , socialize, do her hobbies again, and just enjoy the day without that worry.

The right person could do this and make it seamless to the wider audience.

The fact that they don't see a difference of the life you portray on the vlogs and the reality of real life at the Chateau is a huge complement to you Stephanie and probably why you're channel is so hugely popular..

I agree with the wish that you, Stephanie, have more free time to yourself. As much as I enjoy the vlogs, I see how much work you do. Some time to just sit in the sun appreciating your friends is always needed.

A couple of things are very clear: 1) the vlogs capture real life (which is why there are so many fans; 2) Stephanie's loved ones want her to pace herself; and 3) the residents are a marvelous "match made in heaven." In my opinion, since you have risen to the "purpose" of making happy videos to help people during this pandemic, the focus on real life (as opposed to so many of the early vlogs focusing on parties) is the root of your success. The excellence of your product is like the tree trunk, and the laughter and joy you show are like the apples/fruit of the whole effort.

Thank goodness Selmar hadn't seen the vlogs before he arrived because Lalande would have been so worse off without him x

I absolutely love watching Chateau Diaries but I do worry about Stephanie...Seriously Stephanie you must take care of yourself. The Chateau needs you and lots of people watching sort of need you, too, in a good way. So Stephanie taking care of Stephanie would be a good thing!

Stephanie is the essence of Chateau diaries and the Chateau, without her personality I doubt they would be so popular. She makes everything interesting.

I am so grateful for the youtube algorithm, that recommended one of your videos to me almost a year ago, whilst living alone in lockdown. Since then I watched all of Chateau Diaries videos and there is not one video that did not make me smile or filled my heart with warmth and love. Tsk! Fifteen people gave a thumbs down? Crazy! The general take away from this episode is that everyone wants Stephanie to slow down, have time for herself, for her family and friends. I would add: Stephanie, this has been your dream, things are happening all around you, your Chateau is bursting into bloom and every wish you had for it is happening, so stop, take a breath and enjoy and savour the renaissance of your Chateau. We will survive with fewer vlogs, but we won’t survive none because you’ve burnt yourself out. At seventy five I know the very worst feeling in the world is regret. To improve long term: take two weeks off with NO cameras or vlogs of any kind each January and July, each year. Delegate , never turn off, people are very quicly going off you if you turn off , it take a long time to get them back. Just find somebody to replace you off and on but never turn off bad idea because this is what make the the chateaux life and renovation. As an ”old” project manager, I totally understand Ians need for planning... I ’m sure you have an overall plan for the chateau, it would be interesting to take part of your ideas and plans. Maybe that even would engage even more patrons to your channel! I’d love that!

As much as I love watching all the vlogs, I would prefer one Chateau Diaries a week and having them last for a long time - rather than you exhausting yourself and having them end. You do realise that the KZread vlogs are Stephanies main personal income now. Out of that she is paying 3 salaries Nati, Philip and Mary Poppins. Plus any house expenses that are not covered by the B&B. And anything that cant be paid for with Patreon monies. So she probably can't cut down to 1 a week as she has too many financial commitments

I don't understand how this channel is SO well known and doesn't have more subscribers!? The very first one I watched, I subscribed and it was before the whole pandemic blow up. I got in on almost the beginning and have not missed an episode. I have watched all the episodes three times.

Stephanie is loved by all those aound her because they appreciate her hard work but it was heartwarming to hear how they all wish she could spend more time with them off camera. She though realises that hard work is what is required to realise one’s dream & being a KZreadr is hard work but with the rewards she is able to achieve & do so much at Lalande & at Lalande. Selmar he still doesn’t realise how lovely he is. He has such a calm voice & personality & he is humble as well. Phillip having my own grandsons & the joy they give me when they visit, it touched my heart that you miss your grandparents & the weekly visits. Hope once the world comes back to normal that you can get back to see your grandparents. Dan misses maman Isabel, I thought that was so so sweet. I am sure all at the chateau miss her as do the viewers. Wise words from Steven. Gone are the old ways of thinking that one has to stick to one job for 40 years (nothing wrong with that I hope I have not offended anyone as I was also part of that generation), but the world has so much to offer & it’s great to see the younger generation explore more ways of being productive & earn a living. Me and the hubby have been watching since you started and can honestly say that don’t know how we would have got through the pandemic without you and the Pethericks. The points are all very well taken. I get it, LaLanders are people too and they each have their own life as well their KZread life. And then there is Stephanie, a one-in-a-million sort of super human being who's boundless energy defies logic. If it is any consolation to any of you magical people, I am eternally grateful that you each are who you are and that you each have chosen to share a part of your lives with me.

I absolutely loved this video. We can feel how real and genuine everything is but it’s nice to have it confirmed. Philips close bond with his family is so beautiful. Every single person at the chateau is so special, such beautiful people. If one thing came out of this it’s that Stephanie needs an editor so she can have a better balance in her life. Filming and Editing are forms of artistic expression for Stephanie. Sharing that with someone else would not be easy.

I like how Dan and Selmar are grateful for the help they got for successfully establishing their YTube channels. And I was expecting some other people to do the same. Because it’s all because of Stephanie’s amazing and kind personality. Her acceptance of everyone and tolerance make everyone feel at home. She has lots of encouragement for all those wonderful and talented people that help her make life at the chateau interesting.

Mummy looked absolutely beautiful and amazing in this video (that’s not to say she wasn’t before but she was looking tired by the time she got to join Percy again, stress of lockdown and not being able to get to Percy) 🤩❤️ Stephanie, make time to speak to your mother, daily! Hit the nail on the head Scotman (& others), cut back the work load or get help to edit at least. You’ve already been ill and in hospital because of over exertion this year. I also understand that you Stephanie have to make hay while the sun shines. Renovation and restoration work on the LaLande has accelerated and if you look at the timeline for the Lake to be put back (3 or more years). Well, we have a ways to go..... My favorite part is Gerald talking about Stephanie as a little girl, so loving and sweet. Saddest part is Mummy not wanting to be at the chateau - I miss her so much!!! As an OG subscriber, I've deeply loved this channel from the beginning. Being a part of the growth & success are a pure joy. Meeting the family, friends & volunteers over the years is so inclusive. I believe this is a big part of the success. I'll never forget the day Selmar drove up and I wasn't even there. It's worrying some of these comments may change the channel, but clearly life is an ever evolving experience and I'm excited for the adventures still to come. It's so true of Stephanie's character to ask these questions and take the answers on board and if this is a help to her I'm all for it.

Thoses days in the lock down when there was just Mummy , Stephanie and Selmar arrived , l will never forget ,l become an addict of the showwhen Stephanie reada book to us from her bed , locked in her room , Mummy putting the food behind the door and Stephanie welcoming Selmar from the window . All this is so far aways , and it was rhe start of a wonderful story Selmar arrival , and Mummy battling in the garden alone, and still l could not stop watching !

Lalande is a beautiful magical home filled with wonderful people with big hearts and lots of love to share. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. You are a blessing. ❤️

Philip really touched my heart with his desire to continue to visit his grandparents regularly - I hope he finds a way to do that. What a precious grandson they have. Very interesting post! And it’s not surprising at all about how spontaneous this vlog is. Stephanie is a delightful personality making for a very entertaining viewing but most of all her love of people, her genuine fascination with other people, passion for the arts and history, and amazing energy all bring together this great vlog.
