That is a good point in theory, but I do want to add that that's not ALWAYS the case. I was friends with a guy for a year before I realised I actually deeply loved him in another way all along... and I was always one of those people yelling "WHEN YOU KNOW YOU KNOW". Life does throw us curveballs. Sometimes a change of heart is actually a switch to the MORE genuine even if the trigger for it makes no sense.

I 100% agree. Unfortunately the only time I got with someone that I friend zoned (he was making me feel sorry for him all the time) I felt forced into the relationship the whole time and had to end it :/ When you get rejected take it like a G and say it's cool, don't pull the " oh girls never choose me :((("

I feel like Kylie doesn't really like Kendall. She has not even posted/wished kendall on her bday but she does it to all other sisters. Back when she was little, Kendall used to be the prettier one and it was obvious that Kylie got jealous. But now, Kylie is the most successful of the bunch. And whatever Kylie does, she makes sure that she rubs it off in everyone's face. Even though Kendall and fai may not be dating, there might be a chance that they will. I remember once Kylie posted a pic with fai on her Instagram and tagged Kendall, and she replied " are we fighting". So Kendall obviously doesn't like Kylie getting close to him. So Kylie, even though she isn't actually interested in fai, might be just fooling around to show the upper hand over kendall. And that she can steal anyone's man. All of this just to make Kendall jealous. Pretty shallow of kylie, imo.

My husband and I have been friends since 07 and in '10 he went away to another city and we lost contact. He came back in '12 a changed man. He hung out often, when I realised I caught feelings for him. I told him, I like you and I think we should stop being friends and stop talking. He liked me too and we have blissful 8yrs behind us. This was sort of me with my ex-hubby, and current hubby. Met my ex first. Wasn't really my type, but he was very into me and open about it to me, my family, that he was actively pursuing a relationship with me. Eventually, I did fall for him (which is why I do believe you can talk yourself into loving someone if it's given enough time, because I did), but we really weren't right for each other (not to mention the boy had his issues). Little over a year later I met (online, my ex and I played online video games) my now current hubby. We became best friends, to my now ex's dismay, because he kept telling me how my new best friend was more my type than he himself was (true). My friend was going through a messy divorce, and my marriage was rocky, so we bonded over that. He met a girl and fell in love, and moved across the country to be with her, and was happy for several years (and I was honestly happy for him). He came to visit my ex and I while we were still married, which started a whole mess with my ex being jealous and demanding I cut off my friendships with ALL my male friends. They all left...except for my best friend who refused to leave (keep in mind, he was still dating his gf too, we had no side thing going on...unlike my ex). My marriage then imploded rather messily, and since he'd gone through it, he was there for me emotionally and through moral support. My work was literally connected by a doorway to a store my ex managed, so I decided I needed a break, and my friend and his gf invited me to return the favor and come visit them, so I made plans to do that. Before I could make the trip, she left him for someone else. When I did finally get down there, it was like the marital blinders were ripped off, and all of a sudden I realized how cute he was. However I was still hurt, and so was he, and I wasn't sure I was ready for a relationship...but we fell in love anyway. We've been together for 14 years, married for 7, have three kids, and are one of those ridiculously happy couples. Jumping into that relationship feet first was the scariest thing I'd ever done, but it was also the best decision I ever made. Sorry for the novel. :)

Just imagine yourself in a quite long term relationship with your subject of interest, imagine him starting to putting weight, farting at your face, having arguments with you, charging you to have at least three babies, keep the house neat, at the same time that you have a job outside, imagine him being fussy about your look, and wants you to be always available to being fucked. I’m really glad you explained that you should leave your guy friend alone if you don’t reciprocate his feelings for you. I find that it’s common for women to continue to "lead" men on and confuse them by continuing the current dynamic they have with these men. If a guy friend confesses his attraction for you and you are not attracted to him, leave him alone! You wouldn’t want him to be leading you on if he wasn’t actually attracted to you.

Totally need to rant. This video brought up so many old emotions for me because I wasted the first 2 years of my uni life on a boy. I was in love with this boy who saw me as nothing more than a friend. I would get so confused because we had an amazing time every time we were together. He would make me laugh and it felt like time would evaporate when we were together. I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that a guy can want to be around you and be flirty with you but not want to date you. Just like Shallon said he liked me just a little bit. He compartmentalized me. At the time I didn't realize that and so I kept making up excuses for him like "he's shy" "he hasn't had a good example of what love is" blah blah blah. As time went on and he still wasn't asking me out, I started behaving really desperately. My behavior was super blatant and I cringe when looking back at that time. I stayed in that loop for so long because of my ego. I didn't want to believe he didn't feel the same. I didn't want to feel like I had wasted 2 years of my life on this person. Finally, I realized the only way to heal was to slowly cut him out of my life. It was incredibly painful and I cried so many nights but in the end I'm glad I did. I am so much happier today and I no longer feel sad about it. Ladies, Shallon is right. If a man wants to be with you, he will pursue you. Do not waste your time being friends with a guy you have feelings for. That is not even a friendship, all you are doing is gambling your time away hoping that one day he will love you back.

I’m 37 and I have actual guy friends. However, I would never let another woman doubt her relationship because of me. I take on the responsibility to alter the friendship. Which I’m comfortable with. It doesn’t always feel good and you do lose most of the time. Once the change happens though, it’s great. I’m a professional third wheel. I need another video for that. Also, you look happy!

This video was a hard one for me. Last year I lost one of my best and longest male friendships because our stupid asses got curious. I would definitely want a video on the male with female friendships! I could never have male friends and I was never interested in having any. The only guy friend I have is gay and we’ve been friends since we were four years old (I don't even remember us not being friends let alone meeting each other!). My sister, on the other hand, was chronically friends with guys mostly and found it easier to keep friendships with guys since preschool.

Also, your comment regarding "Let him hunt you" hit me right in the feels. Drop some clues, but let him hunt you. I spent my life in the friendzone and I was always that fool who was like "Well, I'm gonna tell him how I feel, just in case he doesn't know, there's been guys who had crushes on me who I didn't know and would have wanted to know"... but the older I get the more I realise... babygirl if you wanna know if he has ANY interest in coming in, all you need to do is unlock the door and maybe open it slightly. You do not need to invite him in, if in is where he wants to be. If he's looking for a chance or a sign, he would have picked up on your clues and signs by now. Don't waste your precious time!

I had this exact situation and I do get what you’re saying about the ego being fed, but I would say this guy was one of my best friends and actually today is 11 months we’ve been together after what started off as him liking me and me not returning the feelings.

If you're IN the friendzone (which I have been more than not in my 30ish years) as a girl it really does feel like the ULTIMATE insult. You're not just invisible... we are told ALL OUR LIVES that men are always thinking about sex and find anything that remotely resembles a groomed female attractive. How "easy" girls have it because guys chase _them_ . That's never been my story. Maybe I'm ugly, maybe I have bad taste in men... but it's been the story of my life and yet I 'tick all the societal boxes' (hourglass figure, slim, I take good care of myself, I have lots of interests and things going on, not gorgeous but definitely not hideous). It feels like the ultimate insult to just be invisible.

@@AA-mg3xr We went to the American School of Dubai. They were actually very polite and friendly. Didn't know them well (they weren't there for long), but I remember his sisters, Sama and Haya, at the time were kind of trying to get into modeling. Their mom is in fashion somehow and is connected so that's how we figured they got modeling jobs.

What I do is that I bring up the topic of other guys a lot more and how indirectly he’s not my type. If they’re my friend, they’re smart enough to figure out that they’re forever in the friend zone if they choose to stick around

Girls it is so much trouble to be in love with your guy friend ! My whole teenage years were me be in love with my friend and he rejecting me over and over ! As Shallon sayed i just didn’t wanted to see the truth and i was looking for a loophole. Such a bad idea ! The sad thing is that in one point we hooked up and he was my first and it was such a bad experience, but on the flip side after this the „magic“ of this guy disappeared and I could move on . I still don’t recommend this Taktik ! So if you have a crush on a friend , just follow the Shallon rules and at best move on! I could have saved me a lot of pain if I have had just listened and let this boy do ! (Not to speak that I made the mistake to confess my feelings to him , another big NO, NO )

I have gotten out of the friendzone before, but it took 8 years. At 16 I was head over heels for this guy, we were really close friends (and yeah, we were actually friends and it wasn't just a "fan" situation). It didn't work out and I moved on with my life. We both had serious relationships, our lives changed a lot, but we always stayed in touch. 8 years later we saw each other and after a few hang outs he wanted to be with me. I guess I did re-brand myself unintentionally and he saw me in a different light. We kept seeing each other casually for a couple of months, but I ended it 'cause I just didn't feel it anymore. We're still friends to this day, and we do genuinely care about each other, but unfortunately it was too late as the feelings just weren't there anymore. He saw me in a different light, but I also saw him in a different light, and it wasn't a romantic one anymore.

My Bestie (a guy) tried hitting on me earlier this year. I had to tell him that I had my fingers in too many pies (just life shit) and left it at that. Was a weird thing for me to say, but he heard it loud and clear and took a few weeks to himself before things going back to normal.

I really needed this video, because not only i was friend zoned lately by my friend who i have a crush on, after he constantly misled me the past 6 months, no no it was next level when i confronted him about it.
