Live modestly. That's the point. Do what you want to do. Follow your vision. Do not try to impress others on social media or even the people around you. I see so many with fancy cars and then they live in a crappy small house. Others won't give you anything in return. Control your expenses and live below your means. It might be flattering when someone compliment you on your ride, but how do you feel if you can't handle the car payment? The gas, the insurance? Keep it low...

It’s sounds like it’s a good amount of money but will only do so much for you and not the exorbitant amount people think it is. Either way it is necessary and quality of life is so much better which is crucial to keeping a certain quality of women which is what I want.

One million in the s&p will give you $100k a year. Take out 4% to reinvest so that the one million goes up in proportion to inflation. Then you pay about 35% in taxes. So your left with about $60k a year to spend once you deduct for the tax and the Inflation reinvestment. Not alot af famies have a lifestyle they can sustain on $60k. Most families need about 3 million just to retire. Now if you want to buy anything nice you need even more money and you need more money to replace that nice item 6 years latter when it's worn out and you need more money to maintain that nice item and insure it. Your not really rich until you get like $10million cash after taxes. And I don't mean filthy rich just rich enough to retire and keep the same lifestyle and have a few nice things.
