Ryan garcia is more like a protype canelo or donaire but the difference is his left hook speed is insanely fast he could throw it at the very last moment and power is about equal. now left hook is not just rated on it's raw power and speed it is rated on the set ups as well... you have to layer your trap to really get it in. ryan hasn't mastered that but they are going to definitely worked on that his advantage is his height and reach people has to get into his range to hit him and that basically puts them in his optimum range... but chances are hsi greatest weapon would become his greatest tell against tank that's why it's chess match. the reason why I think it'll be a more difficult fight is because of the distance tank has to cover and ryan's raw hook speed... ryan has touched some really tough guys with his left hook and they all crumbled... tank is a tough nut but he is human... that's why this fight is interesting... is tank's all around skill set and experience and boxing I.Q. enough to beat that kind of raw hand speed and power... imagine amir khan have the power of a level below of maidana. do you think you can take those jabs, straights, and left hooks... cuz that's how ryan's hands looked to me. let's not blindly worship tank... he is so good but he ain't omnipotent he makes a mistake he will pay... the same goes for ryan. who ever wins they all did their best.

RYAN IS NOT HARD TO STUDY. The GTD TEAM is going to adjust to whatever Ryan does just like they do with every fighter. Coach Calvin is a boxing scientist and one of the best in the business. I’m just being honest and by no means racist in my comment. I see that alot of Ryan and Pitbull Cruz fans ( the Mexican fans ) thinks boxing is about two people meeting in the middle of the ring and swinging haymakers until one of them drops. This is why a lot of Mexican fans hate African American boxers because they don’t stand still much and move and BOX! If you wanna watch a brawl, then join a fight club and watch illegal fights in someone’s basement but professional boxing is an art and skill set. Ryan brings speed but to be honest, he’s too heavily reliant on his left hook. He must bring more to the fight or Tank will figure him out and have him out of there between the 5th-8th round.

Speed vs Power

I think it’s a good call. Ryan has hand speed that could do the surprise thing himself. Davis seems to take a good punch…but like the ones he delivers, if you don’t see it, that’s the one that stretches you. Garcia has power and speed. I think your video is actually a good primer for Ryan. Following your line of thinking that’s what you avoid and that presents the counter for Garcia. I think Ryan’s height helps mostly because his big power punch seems to be the left upper. Davis actually being lower I think plays right into that. I don’t think you go haywire looking to find that though. Obviously Tank knows this too. But if you hide it for a while, it might just instinctively be there in a split second moment…and suddenly the game is over. You never know how a guy is going to react to the first time being really hurt. I haven’t seen Tank in that moment. We know Tyson was never the same. Ryan was put down by Campbell and got back up and won, stopping him. That is something not to be under estimated. I favor Tank, but Garcia’s team including Oscar seem to feel they have a good plan. I don’t think they’d expose their cash cow if they didn’t think he could win.

What i notice about Tank is dude never runs out of stamina, approaching the 7th round or further when those noodle arms begin to kick in and you feel weak tanks punches still look like gun shots. Excellent analysis my friend. No Weapon of Ryan Garcia will Prosper Against Tank Davis. Tank is more than a Conquerer here.

Ryans timing, precision, reach and speed is no joke either. Everyone thinks power is king, but that works against you if your opponent cracks you as you're throwing. Davis tries to slip inside and throw the underhook... it leaves the head exposed to low hooks, and thats exactly the punch ryan has been training most since a child... and it has the power behind it to down a thick torso like campbell with a body shot. Davis depends a great deal on slipping shots to get on the inside for the big uppercut and underhooks. But the problem with this against Ryan is he throws shots much faster and doesn't move off his center of balance while doing it. He will beat davis to the punch as he tries to close in. In saying that, If davis lands a clean hit.... Ryan is prone with that jaw of his and longer neck to being knocked out. Although he got up pretty fast from the knockdown campbell delivered -- was a good clean hit too. I was surprised he got up that fast and didn't seem dazed from it. But Davis has alot more crank on those hooks, I still don't think Ryan could take a solid hit from davis.... but I don't think davis could take one from Ryan either. It would be a much greater fight if both of them could handle the others hooks... so its spells for a quick fight, with a bit more of a coin-flip with who lands early. Davis hasn't got anything to really prove here, but Ryan does... I think Ryans ego might be his downfall if he gets to eager to finish it. He needs to stay on the backfoot and counter, if he goes forward swinging... davis will handle that situation better. Also true, Davis is not likely to try move in first either... but try to slip, step and counter. So there is a chance both fighters start off slow and trying to bait the other into throwing first. Id say in that situation, Ryan has advantage at playing the distance with speed, so long as he stays on his backfoot.

Tank should win this one ....but under estimating Gracia can work in Garcias favor ....this is not gonna be as easy as you say....in my opinion!

If his opponent has power he will fight smarter and avoid hits, if he doesn't respect their power he will take those punches just to get in and land!

This fight can’t happen soon enough! *You got to always keep an open mind to the possibilities..But, Tank is by far, the better fighter! Not only does he have the power & skills physically, but he has it mentally too. He’s such a humbled -*stand up guy.* *Ryan is the exact opposite. He has the behavior & mentality of a high school boy…* *I mean he wears a prom king crown. Ohh, I just realized, he even calls himself King!* *But it’s not just that..The trash talk & just the way he talks in general, literally like a little kid. He’s already going into the fight with the wrong mindset. It’s obvious that he has a personal problem, with Tank (jealousy). He lacks emotional intelligence big time!Going into a controlled fight all in his feelings, absolutely will not work. I saw a YT short of one of his SM outbursts,talking crap about Tank. I don’t remember his exact words,but what he said was : Tank must not want it bad enough, bc he stays quiet, doesn’t react or do the trash talk back. He most definitely needs to be put in his place & off that pedestal he has himself on! Davis not only has way more experience then Garcia. He hits harder and is every bit as fast as Garcia is this flight is not going to go the distance.

Davis’ best chance was when he was 23 and Ryan was younger now tank doesn’t seem as dangerous as he did then and ryan is a different animal now so I wouldn’t be too quick to say it’s all in tanks favor he himself isn’t as confident as he usually is before a fight he knows he’s in for something different

Ry can definitely win if he picks up the pace at the starting rounds. But he definitely needs more than just 1 game plan. Tank is a natural high IQ fighter who adjusts mid rounds, every round matters for tank to set up his killer blow. If Garcia plans to keep up with tank in the later rounds, he gotta learn to mix things up.

Seriously, I think Garcia might be hurt after this fight, like take him to the hospital afterwards, get him checked out, debate whether he could/should ever fight again kind of discussion. I see them having to wake Garcia up with smelling salt after GTD knocks this kid unconscious, strong possibility.
