Just for my own personal preference and because I'm someone who tortured 3 different Honda's (72 CB450 - 74 CB750K and a 83 CB1100F all new) in my younger days and couldn't hurt them in any way, as well as my memories of all the troubles my British bikes gave me, I'd pay the extra to get the Honda and that one extra cylinder. I understand Triumph isn't the same today as it was in the distant past, but old memories die hard.

Vietnam is expensive up front but long term because you aren't obliged to buy insurance its cheaper in vietnam long term. My cousin in california is paying 2800$ a year with zero history of accidents or tickets. imagine paying that every year for 10 years

@@RichardsModellingAdventures Right you are; Triumph has also done it on their new Rocket 3 and T120 Scramblers. That said, BSA, Ariel, and heritage Triumphs rarely produced tanks with exposed pinch-welds. And, if they did, owners used to pound and grind them out of sight. The more recent trend to mass produce cheap exposed pinch-weld tanks is an unfortunate cost saving measure. In the opinion of many, the cost is greater than the saving; it makes the product look like a cheap looking tin-toy.
