Benny will finally be able to confront Rob about ripping of his small man in a box routine. Benny for King!

The big question, on Brydon's funeral, will be if the "Aah-haa!" is simply a reference to Alan Partridge, or a more meta reference to The Trip.

I love Rob smiling and nodding to Coogan while he talks at his funeral hahaha and then Coogan goes that behind every joke is a cry for help hahaha

The chemistry is just electrical...absolute quality

This is absolute genius acting. The lack of canned laughter makes it much more humorous.

"Huh, think I better DIE now!" has been stuck in my head for literal months and I knew it was Brydon but couldn't for the life of me find where he said. Only now after hours of scouring through old WILTY episodes, have I found where it comes from. Thank fuck and all cos that would have tortured me for a very long time.

Steves Tom Jones is amazing

There's a lot of comedy about, but this is better. The trip is the best comedy on at the moment. The BBC have plucked these guys from celebrity to obscurity.

It's all based around the assumption that Rob will be the first to go, even though he is only five months older than Steve.

I've seen this many time and it still makes me laugh out loud, to very funny men....

Should it go the other way... I love that.

There are comedians, and then there are comedians who make other comedians laugh. And Rob Brydon is one of those guys. As is Lee Mack. On WILTY they have the others crying with laughter.

If steve goes first, i expect an hour of alan partridge impressions from rob... At the ceremony. Rob, as Alan: Hey Rob! Steve is coming. Would you like to talk to him? Rob: Only through a medium.

When Rob is listening to his eulogy I can't help thinking of Prince John getting his fortune told. Just saying "Clever, yes, handsome, yes"

"...to talk about his friend, Rob. Ladies and gentlemen - ssshh! ...Steve Coogan."

Fucking brilliant. This is comedy at its best. You'll not get better.

England has produced some great Double Acts: Morecambe and Wise, The Two Ronnies (TV only ) Derek and Clive, Hope and Keen, obviously Mike and Bernie, who both humbly hid their talent well , Hale and Pace, Bradbury and Davis, Vic and Bob,French and Saunders,Ball and Cannon etc....

We understand the man with nine baftas ( actually seven ). That’s called sarcasm. We get irony too. It just depends on the American. I’ve seen the stones four times in my life. After watching the trip series and seeing Greed during the pandemic , I’m convinced that Steve would be a wonderful long weekend with brunch shag. Not sure how important the whole Alan partridge thing is. We did have Benny Hill and Monty python growing up here.

Sunny T not sure if he is the best but older Americans had real Saturday night live in the seventies and early eighties. We even have improv from second city in Chicago. Watch Steve in happy ish. From 2015 two seasons. Hello to down under.
