I've been using this method for 10 years now and every applied sticker turned out perfectly. Most tutorials want you to use tweezers or the brick separator to hold the sticker but this method is far superior in my opinion! Another benefit is that you never touch the sticky side with your fingers, so no oils from your skin can get onto it. For bigger stickers I use a card wrapped in some cloth to press it down to avoid air bubbles. Glad to finally find someone how does it exactly as I do :)

Ooo I've never really placed one of those large ucs stickers but I'll keep the cloth trick in mind to press those down😅 Never touching the sticky side is absolutely the way, glad you figured it out way sooner than I did!

This set must have the sticker sheet that breaks our camel backs 👀

You can also use parchment paper/wax paper. Also not sure how well it would work for the insanely small stickers

Does this technique work for all kinds of stickers of every size and shape because if it does, you might have given me something to try whenever I get a set with stickers.

Why have I never thought about this..

I hope this helps me. I really, REALLY hate sticker peices, especially for 1x4(+) tiles as making sure they're straight just by lining up the end is a bitch.. I wish I knew the cost difference for sticker vs printing, depending on how much, I'd legit opt to pay for it to all be printed.

Yea stickers always made me feel like a toddler trying to get them right, but with this trick I really don't mind them anymore (and I'd probably go for stickers over pricier prints now too, but that might just be me being cheap lmao)

@@mediochrist Problem is this trick doesn't work with every set of sitckers I've tried it ona couple sets I just got and I found a couple flaws with this method unfortunately. Sometimes the stickers on the sheet are placed too close together to get scissors in without damaging stickers, then there's round stickers that're a total pain to cut around, and then the combination of the two. To try to get a work around for those issues I scrolled through the set instructions via the lego builder app, founds the peices that need the stickers that're on the borders of the sheet, peeled them half off, placed them on and cut the bit from the sheet they were just on and worked inward skipping the rest of the build until all the stickers were dealt with then welt back and actually built the set

I use baking soda with lemon juice. Not only is this a wonderful method but your set has a lovely citrus small

@@mediochrist I feel kind of ashamed for not realizing this method btw, seems to work very well for larger (thus problematic) ones. I need to find out one more thing though, how to better preserve them stickers once they are in place, guess I’ll have to experiment either with clear adhesive foil used for books or some sort of transparent paint (which must not dissolve easily over time). Aiming for longevity with some “display sets.”

I definitely think this trick can scale up! I'd just maybe cut a small corner off the back of the sticker, and then you have the freedom to line the whole sticker up before pushing down. Good luck😅

will be trying this on my next build ... F*cked up a side sticker on my Space Shuttle discovery and since that happend i didn't even bother trying to put the huge amount of stickers inside the cargo bay, but with this method i hope it will go better

@@mediochrist well i'm leaving them out :p i'm not even going to try it , since i didn't build the hubble as well , i'm just gonna display the shuttle by its self without the hubble with the Bay doors closed

can also use parchment paper saves the cutting step!

Haha yea for sure dude! Prints make so much more sense, but if there are stickers, I literally cannot go back to the old fashioned "peel it all off and pray" method. This is the only way I can get good results so hopefully it works out for ya, good luck🤝🏼

@@mediochrist Found the warm soapy water rubbed onto part before applying transfer / sticker then can be moved into correct position then dabing dry softly with a paper towel dry in a couple of minutes plus no bubbles... etc works each and every for me love this method myself found it on - readit -

Yeah, I've only been able to reapply stickers twice at most if I dont press them all the way down wrong and lift them with an exacto knife. It's a total bitch. -.-

Hey, do you cut the hole picture out so you are apply the hole picture and it does not hang over the edgers, I am about to do the bay doors on the 2021 shuttle and looking for tips, thanks for sharing this.

Yep, so you cut it out so that you have the edges cut out too, but then you line up just the actual sticker and the edges peel away!

@@mediochrist hey buddy, I just subbed and can get up a couple more, this worked a treat however i just pealed the stickers off and put them on a spear bit of that shiny paper stickers come on that i got dude to The salvation arm collecting money a few days ago and had stickers and got a strip used from them.
