Trailer suddenly isn't so cheap anymore. I feel your pain lol!

I go with too cheap sometimes and end up having to buy something twice because the bargain part/tool/whatever failed even before the taillight warranty ran out. I heard someone say once "buy once, cry once" but I still can't bring myself to do it sometimes. Now I try to go somewhere between really cheap and really good. Hope your tow isn't very far.

The goal is to be maximum cheap … just skirting the line of being dangerous but not crossing it! I am cheap, but at the same time, I also want to get where I want to go and get home without any delays; especially in the summer heat, in not dry weather, when I am burning daylight, or when I am going to be a long way from home and I don’t want to get stranded! My theory is if it worries me but I can rebuild it, replace it, or generally repair anything that bothers my peace of mind, at home, and for a fraction of the cost that being forced to pay some shop that I know nothing about located in some place I was just traveling through and have never even heard of, I will gladly spend some time and money making those fixes happen before heading out; in my own “controlled environment” and with some time on my side, My “cheapness can be balanced with my peace of mind” which is about as good as life gets; short of just winning the power ball and not needing to worry about anything involving green drawings of dead presidents! Be safe and slow it down while towing out there! Anything can happen at any time and any place when you are pulling something … and those kind of surprises are never the good kind!
