These people enjoy using extreme examples to justify rare occurrences. They is used mainly for plural form of things and in the emergency case where you don’t know the sex. Now it is being used casually if the subject doesn’t know it’s sex.

I think that’s if the person is truly deluded. What we’re seeing though seems to be a thought out work around designed to drag a person in via double binds, word play and false accusations. It reminds me of the addicts around union station in Chicago who’ve been taught by the jesuits to use things like how they work for God, help children and so forth to guilt trip you into giving them money. If their target doesn’t give the money, they’ll say something like “god will remember this on judgement day” before walking off and repeating the script.

Leon Dohrman I agree. I’m transsexual, and in the old days the general rule was that you’re going to have to get a thick skin if you attempt to transition because society will NOT accept you. We were also taught that this should only ever be undertaken if it’s your only option due to gender dysphoria that has made life unbearable. Essentially, as a last resort. All these new groups of people who don’t meet any traditional definition of being trans are demanding all sorts of crazy things. They make us all look like clowns. We aren’t even allowed to disagree with them as they’ll attack us even more viciously. I don’t know what’s behind these new groups of young people but this isn’t what we’ve been fighting for for so long. This isn’t how one creates acceptance in society, and I wonder how solid their identities even are if they are going to be so fragile. Whatever this is, it is completely different from actual trans people, and I’m sorry they’re causing so much trouble in our name.

Filming In Portland honestly, it’s not that I feel they are causing trouble and I’m upset about it. To me it’s some sort of greater issue. It seems (and I may be wrong) that the struggles that they face are mostly online. I’m not saying they don’t face hatred, but I would bet it’s mostly from online trolls. We all know how much easier it is for a person to spew hatred on a keyboard rather than to someone’s face. I’m all for being who you feel and being an individual but it’s getting a bit ridiculous when a person says they would feel safer if you used the pronoun they. Give me a break

And who the F are you to assume it doesn't effect anyone here? I am personally effected by this madness. A member of my family has decided to pretend they are the opposite sex, and if I refuse to play pretend-time, even when the person is NOT PRESENT, certain members of my family get mad at me and act like I'm the one with the problem. What a sad state education is in. That's a big reason this crap is able to flourish - Undereducated masses. Orwell should be required reading at the very least in High School/High School level equivalent.

I love how one person speaks reasonably and calmly and makes logical, rational points, while the other rolls his eyes and gets all upset that the first person still retains the right to use words to express truthful thoughts and observations. The whole "you're debating away our existence" is really just an acknowledgement that "why don't you agree that biology is no more than a social construct" is not a very supportable position.
