The Trammps I believe were underrated because they are known for Disco Inferno. They had such great songs like Disco Party, Where the Happy People Go and this.

All these songs were played in every disco worldwide. So, underrated is not correct in my opinion. For example, ‘Shout’ is one off the song I here every weekend in the club anno 2023. 😊

The Kings of the discos. Saw them live many times as my brother was a DJ in the clubs they appeared. Lead singer Jimmy Ellis has an amazing voice. RIP Jimmy
My mom is a lifetime NYer. She was in the Village in NYC when the blackout occurred. Because the streets in the Village tend to criss cross it took her two hours to find her car. She loved the Trammps and always says these were the best days ever. Now, I love disco too (even though I was born in 1991.)
Jimmy Ellis had a magnificent voice May the lord rest his great talented soul
Topband with a topsong, why can't there be a revival of this kind of discomusic. One of the best songs in the seventies.

Why can't people sing in harmony and play a instrument, are you embarrassed because it's not rapping (being cool), we need real music again!

Anthony Thomas Music isn’t made like this anymore. Everybody uses computers and auto tune to produce music. This is all talent with no help of an app. The “Artists” of today all are given lyrics by their managers whereas these songs were written by the people that sang them. People who sing these classics today do not count as artists. I’d like YOU to prove me wrong at a record store.
Great dance song wow

Very weird. First the song brings back happy memories. Second, today is the anniversary of when it happened back in 77. It just happened again today. Right now. They are saying a major transformer burned out. People are trapped in the elavators an elsewhere
When the lights go out in NYC it is very dark.

Well I was in New York on august 14 2003 when the second blackout took place, and I was not making love.
Ralph Treasvant brought me here in his recent interview with Comic Pierre.
One of my Questions at my 164 reunion Wut year did we have our 1st black out in NYC ..
I was in New York
13th of July,, fornication city,,
Oh man, boy do I remember this song
Did a lot of great dance numbers nothing like early club songs sadly the songs in the later years were to Pop .
I was 18 yrs old, but, my dad TOOK my car keys in front of any 1. We lived in Clason point, so,we knew better to do dirt in our hood. We went to Westchester ave to loot. No sooner we stepped out my pals car, an national guard told us to return to the car. We ignored him since he was alone. We had boxes of sneakers & on our way out to the car, they swang them batons with style. NO LOOTING FOR US,THANK YOU, NYPD
Unsung come on do a show about the tramps
I was 11
They were playing this in McDonald's lol
I felt sorry for the people got caught in elevators. Going up
No idea why they sing "She" was making love in the background...
@manestage5403

It sounds like they say “she” then “he”. “She was making love. He was making love.” Could just be my mind trying to make sense of it.😂
