Anyone touching any dead person will be unclean for seven days. 12 Such one should purify himself with the water on the third day, and on the seventh day he will be clean. But if he does not purify himself on the third day, on the seventh day he will not be clean... - Numbers 19:11-22. The Israelites knew this 3600 years ago

It's not ego but a lack of understanding of that time... If you were to introduce the concept of quantum mechanics in the early days.. You would be called mad... And if you would introduce earth is not the center... You would be killed.. In short, it's not arrogance but the belief in religious ideology..

This story is so deeply frustrating, but such an important cautionary tale about how if you operate far enough outside of convention, prepare to be ridiculed and ostracized, even if you're right. Strive to make sure you're not this person blocking progress from happening, even if it compromises your reputation, and is threatening. Allow the future to arrive. Eventually it will whether you want it to or not.

The real problem that ,unfortunately, doctors still suffer from ARROGANCE, they are ARROGANTS, and they don't listen. I, myself, have lived during my ba with more than one person who was studying medicine, in different years, senior doctors pass extremely bad behaviors to their student.

The Awake magazine, in 2016 (No 3, p8-9) did an article on Semmelweis, in their Portraits from the Past series. Interestingly, it noted the Mosaic Law over 3,500 years ago stipulated anyone touching a corpse became unclean for seven days and had to undergo a cleansing procedure that included bathing and washing his garments. During this time, the person was to avoid physical contact with others.-Numbers 19:11-22.

That was an excellent ONE! My oldest child was always getting into trouble in school. I'd had him tested in 1st Grade, but he somehow "slipped between the cracks". We never had problems at home, nor with his three younger siblings, to which his teachers consistently replied, "Well, I have 35 other students & I can't provide the 'enhanced/enriched environment' you're able to at home". This began in 1986, and while we DID have a home computer that my brother built, there wasn't the internet. We went camping, to museums, libraries, zoos, and read a lot, plus had nearly a small zoo & farm at our suburban LA home. I donated all kinds of building blocks, garden supplies, hobby equipment, etc., to every classroom my kids were in, and volunteered at least once a week in each (& tied everything to the lessons they focused on). In 5th Grade, he broke. I called the district before Spring Break & told them they HAD to do something. They pulled his records & apologized, saying, "Weren't you told he should be in GATE Classes? He has an IQ of 158. When do want him to start?". I thought they meant after Spring Break, or the next year, but they said NO, tomorrow or Monday?! She said it must've torture for my son to have been in "regular classes". He started the next day & for the 1st time he made friends. He had a birthday party & KIDS CAME. It was a FANTASTIC year. He didn't go to traditional college, but he's a technical writer & very successful & has a great life. This poor doctor must've suffered so much.

What a tragic story! He probably turned to alcohol & isolation because he knew he was right & in response to what he told his colleagues, instead of looking into his proven results, they gaslit him. He then became angry...hell yeah I'd be angry, too! To add insult to injury, a "friend" invites him to visit a sanitarium under the guise of a "tour," & ends up committing him there against his will, which led to his early demise...OMG...so very tragic!!!
