This channel has been such a joy. I remember a version of Narcissus where he had fallen in love with his twin sister who died and so he would look at his reflection to see the likeness of her face. Apparently it's from a writer named Pausanias.

Recommendation: everything!!! I love the way you broke things down, made it very engaging. The Echo conclusion was very interesting, did not see that coming. It is healthy to feel comfortable in your own skin, not worrying constantly about what others think of you and trying to gain their validation. A little bit of Narcissus is needed in every soul. Also, it is healthy to "admire and honor" (not worship) the beauty that is in oneself (Psalm 139:14), something that is very lost today, in my opinion. Thanks again for the video.

Wonderful presentation miss. Always loved how the Greeks and others have reasons for what we see in nature and the value of their cautionary tales. Who’s to say if the gods aren’t watching 🐺

Thank you. I had the smallest knowledge of both characters, but didn't know their connection. I also for got or didn't learn about the narcississ flower. I have the same fuzzy understanding of why peacock feathers look the way they do. A video on that would be great

This myth and Eros & Psyche used to depress me so much when I was a child! I was too used to fairy tales and happy endings, but Greek myths like these taught me introduced me to tragedy. And that not every fantastic story has a happy ending. Loved the video! And congratulations on 20,000 subscribers!!! 🙌

Yet another beautiful video Ms. Erica, your videos are really inspiring. And by the way, can you do a reaction to Epic the Musical please 🥺 (it's a musical inspired by the Odyssey it's really amazing).

Amazing. Love the story parallels and how the beautiful image projects and makes effect, but can bring a tragic withdrawal upon realization too. I love good stories. Helps us understand the black and white of life 🙏🏻❤️ Oh, ... if the myths of our lives could only have goddesses that save and heal instead of curse and destroy 💜👸🏻where oh world be thy graces? I like the the aviator glasses and crown on that folk 😋

I kneel to thee, Goddess Erica from on high, Some far mount likens thy pistule to the fountain of youth, The flowing waters of thy mind like thy beautiful flowing hair upon thy shoulders and breasts, Making known to us gilded threads of wisdom ultramundane, Knowledge high and low and that which doth sustain contemplations, How I love to daydream by the star stream the light thy eyes gleam so serene like constellations, But forlorn in consternation as alone in life from the most queer turning of quintules, the loss of family and friends, None desire to live such a conscious life making other excuses desirng derision than considerate concomitant, Why?, they may not really understand, they might be uncomfortable in their own awareness, or they may malicious with intent to take what they themselves the spirits did not convey, away from others, in their own ignorance, tragic they make the world, But to thee, I love my heart to kneel in devotion to your divine facets gleaming ✨💙
