The Tragic Life of Audrey Munson

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Looking closely at the murals and sculptures at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition of 1915, one would notice a striking similarity in the female figures. This was because more than half the female sculptures and paintings at the Exposition were modeled by the same woman; Audrey Munson. Audrey was an artist’s model living in New York, and by 1915 was considered the “most perfectly formed woman in the world”. She became ‘The Exposition Girl’ and ‘The Panama Girl’; the face, and figure of the Exposition.

Awesome you’ve given me so much motivation and newfound wonderment to study architecture can u do a reading list that discusses important books on you’re architectural journey or you’re own story as a spoken biography I would be very interested

@@evannaallen4609 You're welcome... but take the story of the "Crime of the Century" with a grain of salt, actually a five-pound bag of salt, for truthfulness. Nesbit was an actress working out of the theater district of Manhattan, NYC. She was a "chorus girl" which back then equated with a actor meaning a prostitute. Stanford "Stanny" White at the time of being shot in his own creation Madison Square Garden 01 under the statue of Diana, the Goddess of the hunt, night, crossroad, was heavily in debt, ill and wanted to retire. Could be the event was faked. Fugazi, you know dis'a fugazi ? The model for Diana done by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, White's friend, was Julia "Dudie" Baird, the face D.J. Clark, Gaudens' mistress. The statue is now in the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Philadelphia where the story begins with Evelyn Nesbitt and her jealous husband Henry *Kendall* Thaw. Kendall is the name of an New York architect who later after White stepped down from his firm Mckim, Mead & White, worked there. Sorry for the verbiage but the story is so inbred it needs to be made into a satirical melodrama. Btw, White pillaged European houses for their interiors, floors, statues, anything he paid pennies on the dollars reselling them top dollar to his architectural clients.
