This is so dope. I remember this very well. It was a huge thing in 96 when the WNBA was introduced, I had wondered what took so long, girls can play at a high level too. I had went to Texas Southern, so naturally I was rooting for the comics. They were superb and fierce on the court, they had such chemistry. My favorite player to this day is still Sheryl Swoopes, but I loved Cynthia, Tina etc.,Kim was my home girl (Louisiana born) so I had to rock with her and this team. 1999 was a memorable year. I played the hell out of the Miseducation of Lauryn HillI CD, I had my son, and I was glued to watching them play and win and the coverage on her fight with cancer. That was so heartbreaking for us fans, she was great, she made history and people are still talking about her today. That’s awesome. RIP Kim

She was a force to be reckoned with- she gave hope to all of olds hens that missed the opportunity to play in the WNBA because we either too old or had families…she lived and loved the game! Much respect!!
