Also I had a dump station installed on the opposite side of barn for my class C RV. I can pull in and dump my tanks and hook up water to my RV. Exact same situation here. House build in 1884, nice old place, but the WORK!
so I had my pole barn built in December of '22. it's a 40x60x16 ALL steel. I opted for double bouble insulation, 2 16x14 rollup doors, and an oversized entry door. JUST the building installed on my concrete pad was just over 60k. I also did wainscoting, which was extra. also the rollup doors are on the north side gable end which is cheaper to build. I used mid valley structures out of Michigan where I live, they subed out to North edge steel out of Indiana. I had my building installed within 1 month, that's first call to inquire to the keys being handed to me after it's built. took the crew 5 days to assemble on site. hope this helps those that are looking into building. I've been let down by almost every pole barn builder I called, most didn't call back or were well over a year out. I looked for 4 years before stumbling upon who I did. best experience and easiest building experience. also since then, my building has been through 5' of snow in just one of the few storms we had, plus this summer so far 70+ mph consistent storms with gusts of 90mph.

@krz9487 damn man youre lucky, I'm in Eastern WA and I would be surprised if I could get that size shop done myself for that price! You said that included concrete? Concrete work here is expensive. It's like $6.50 per sqft so about $10,500 just for a slab.
I have considered those metal trusses for my house build. Yet the only thing that I have a problem with is now I have to build a ceiling. Which is fine because now I can get that 2 foot insulation in the ceiling. Which I thought about doing those osb I joist or something like that. I do like the idea of having a open attic area yet that extra cost may not be worth it when I can get roof trusses for 400 bucks each and only need 9 trusses and 2 ends for 10 foot centers for a building 30 by 100. If I go 8 foot centers then 104 wide and just adjust everything accordingly. For my build by your cost it would cost around 75k. Add in OSB/plywood sheathing for roof and walls. along with house wrap, caulk and tape all seems. Another 10k. Another 2500 for floor insulation and plastic. 500 for floor finish. DWV and Septic 15k, new well and well pit 5k ( I have already number of wells and may even use one of them. ) Then the build inside which consist of 3 bathrooms, 3 bed rooms, 6 exterior doors and 9 windows. 8 interior doors. Everything inside including heating and cooling around 50k. I am building a triplex kinda. 1 br 1ba type units. I have most of it down and figured out. Its just the little things and trying to reduce waste, reduce cost and everything else. I have 2 main lay out ideas and this may change over time I see another layout that is better. I would like to reduce the build depth to 24 feet as this would knock off 600 square feet. Which does not seem like a lot yet this is a huge cost savings by making it a bit smaller. This also require far less heating and cooling. Overall cost will be lower and more affordable. We are not looking for luxury. We just want something new and energy efficient. I am going to consider installing a 2 ton mini split in each unit made by EG4 which has a direct solar hook up option that can run the unit in an off grid mode with out a battery bank. These unit cost 2k each and require around 2kwh of solar for a total of 12k installed. Then I will install a kind of central air handler type system to move air in between each room to keep them stable and this could run low wattage all day and night long.
It helps to know people who have been in an industry for decades, own their own business, have the equipment and machines if you dont, etc. Could always pour your own slab, and frame your own building.
here in Seattle area it's closer to 100k
If you live close to the Amish Country you can get something much bigger for that price. Now if you want it finished out with electric and insulation and all that stuff it's going to be more but you can do that yourself and save you some money. Go with the Amish

cost $30,000 to have a company build our 30x40 14' tall (side walls) enclosed with no window (hubbies choice) and on 10 x 12 roll up garage door and walk thru door. The concrete job they did is beautiful without the board spacers like yours - solid, smooth and even - built in a couple of days - all wood construction. 40x60 with porches on each end the quote is 62,000. Have fun!
Yes that's very reasonable. Considering in Kentucky in 2022 I received 2 quotes, Blitz builders and Morton builders wanted 55,000 for 30x40 with no doors or concrete.
25 sq ft , door 16 ft high add on
Cheapest concrete as of late should be about 11-12 thousand
That pole barn in Northwest Indiana would be close to $50k

Here too.
That would be around 80k up here in oregon that slab alone is 20k minimum
what month and yr was esitimate pricing
Does The price gets cheaper per sqft when you go bigger?
Idk how old this is, but in June of ‘24 I’ve been quoted 60 to 80K in Minnesota. Slab & building only. No site prep
Wow the sheer costs of this compared to what other say in these comments proves we got some serious issue with prices in the economy.
Today 2023 only in dream bcz $30K is not even for material 🥵
Yes. Good price.
Guess they don't get alot of snow there.

Pole buildings are fine in the snow, I live up in the mountains where we get tons of snow and mine works just fine. Never worried about the snow weight. As for concrete cracking idk, my floor is gravel. It would be nice to make it concrete but it's just too expensive and I'm not going to use a flat smooth floor anymore than I'm going to use a dry gravel one.
In Colorado a 40x30 will set you back 50k+ depending on options.
I'm in central FL and I'm having a 40'x60' pole barn installed, no sliding, no concrete and it's $17k (received quotes as high as $21k). Concrete quote was $15.5k, so I may take that on myself a little at a time!
In Oklahoma they are even cheaper. My brother had one put in his backyard. ICM being used as homes all over Oklahoma
That’s an awesome price.I’m in NY,that building would cost me more than double that price, easy…
Here in Wisconsin my 30'×60' was 25,000 just for materials. Add to that excavating and concrete piers it's about 37k. That's without windows, insulation, concrete floor, or finishing the inside of the building.

@@antman91123 thanks! I’ll need all the luck I can get. Congrats, I bet it feels good!
If the $17K includes walls; doors; windows; and such, then yes, it seems okay.

For windows, doors, cabinets, flooring, fixtures we kept costs down by getting what you can from Habitat Humanity resell shop, Facebook, craigslist, EVEN BULK TRASH PICKUP DAYS IN AREAS THAT MADE OUR 1ST REHAB AND HOME WAS A LITTLE BIGGER THAN THAT AREAS GUESTHOUSE. I WENT FROM 0 SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE TO I WAS OUR OWN GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND DID THINGS SOME GUY'S CLUELESS AND IF I COULDN'T THEN I MADE SURE TO HELP MY SUBCONTRACTORS WITH PARTS OF THAT JOB. THERE'S STILL WAYS TO HELP BRING COSTS DOWN, OR CAN FIGURE A DIFFERENT WAY TO GET TO THE END GOAL EVEN IF CHANGING THE LOOK OF ORGINAL idea; numerous options to get end goal in rehab and construction. We did our 1st rehab in 2008 in St. Louis City Mo near AB Brewery; but like now we're looking into getting couple vacant lots in a different area of St. Louis vs. Vacant house vs foreclose vs buying house for back taxes. This place has alot of different options and different programs to help people out. Which is 1reason to stay in st. Louis MO area even though we HATE WINTER AND TEMPERATURES BELOW 40 AND BEING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COUNTRY MAKES TRAVELING ALL OVER EASY TO DO 2019 AND 2020 WE TRAVELED IN OUR EXPLORER FROM COAST TO COAST DO ABLE AND KEEPING COSTS AFFORDABLE. THOSE 2 YEARS WAS THE BEST 2 YEARS WE HAVE HAD AND REALITY OF IT WE WERE SECRETLY LOOKING FOR A NEW PLACE IN THE COUNTRY TO STAY AND LIVE FOR EXCITING PART 2 WITH OUR NEVER BELOW 45 DEGREES NO WINTER AND LESS HUMIDITY OR CLOSER TO LARGER WATER OPTIONS. BUT EVERY 9 MONTHS OR SO WE'D GET ASKED BACK TO REHAB A FRIEND'S BASEMENT OR SOMEONE WAS MOVING 13 HOURS AWAY, AND EVEN THE PLACES WE HAD THOUGHT WE FOUND OUR AREA, AND EXCITEMENT WORE AWAY, COSTS OF LIVING OR LACK OF INCOME CAME AS THE DEAL BREAKERS. IT'S ALL ABOUT SHIFTING AND WHAT YOU CAN LIVE WITH OR WITHOUT.
Wonder how much it would cost up here in Washington. I want to buy some land and build something like this but I bet it’ll be $80k+
You left out the trench drains...
That’s definitely a reasonable price for the concrete I built 9 barndominiums last year and I paid double that 14.5k for a 30x40 pad and 21k for a 40x60 no labor for framing because that’s what I do * lol one year later this video comes back around and I go to comment about how cheap the concrete is only to see I left that comment last year lol hey me
I'm in a 950 sqft house on .85 of a acre for $30k. Was almost a gut and replace job. So a total shell with a solid floor, room for a garage and a home..for the same price..sounds like a win to me.
That's a pretty good price , but there is no way you spent 17k on material alone. Unless the prices went up that high after covid.
Would you have used metal if it was a single storey?
If I had to choose between the barn and 8 Big Macs, I would choose the barn 10 times out of ten!
