Thanks a lot guys!!! looking forward to showing you our next project....
Stumpjumper and SJ evo is probably the best value, best performing trail bike out there and the evo model is available as in framesets in metal or carbon. I hadn't bought a specialized since 1996 and tried one this year as a carbon frame on sale was $2200 with adjustable head angle, frame storage, and truly silent cable routing.
I’m loving my Propain Hugene. It goes both up and down really well
There's one problem for me with the Vitus. Vitus is the F-word in finnish so it'd be rather weird riding around here with that written on my bike

well, Kona (with a "C", but same sound) stands for vagina (slang mode though!) here in Portugal, and if I could buy one (buy any trail/enduro bike lol) wouldn't mind at all! :-)

Just picked up a Canyon Neuron during their sale. Definitely considered the Spectrals but the Neuron came with the XT spec and carbon wheels for such a great price.
Vitus is looking like my first future full sus, most bikes I've seen with a Pike select are closer to or over 5k and Vitus keeps it under 3k! Seemingly incredible value, smokes the Canyon spec wise at the same price
I would be stoked to see you review the whyte t140 29er
The Trek Fuel EX; my dream bike. Would be a hell of an upgrade going from a custom built Schwinn S29 to that trail beast.
really like the bit about anti squat - should be mandaory to specify this on every bike!
thnks guys, lovin the scor colours...nice... for me the Vitus because of what you get for the price, I know external cabling but it's done right so frell I will av one of them & equipped with a set of those Atherton continental tyres, would love a canyon but toooo pricey.
A recommendation, I would look at and review some of the American “boutique” and smaller company builds. Bikes companies like Revel and Spot. Their line-up is juicy!
That Scor looks real similar to Santa Cruz!

Did you ever do a review on the Canyon Grand Canyon? Can't find it and am very curious on what you guy's think of it.
I am upgrading my Izzo for an AM.130 - should be a sweet build.

How would the Hope HB130 rate in amongst these ?

There are a lot of great trail bikes out there but one of the first enduro trail bikes seems to always be missed on GMBN, the Norco Optic and the new Fluid kill in this field.

Beautiful looking bikes right!?
Curious if the Rocky Mountain bicycle brand is non-existent on that side of the pond? Or if there’s some reason they don’t ever make your lists?
that vitus looks like a clone of the 2020+ Optics (which is a good thing tbh)
Canyon lovit❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘
No ❤ for the Revel Rascal? Playful, nimble, hovercraft over roots and rocks, ascends extremely well. Killer rig.
Gotta say I would throw TR Spur in there. Blew my socks off, wish I could afford one. I know it’s sorta last year tho, just haven’t seen something I’d prefer more
@gmbntech

I think we did have the Spur in last year! Gorgeous looking machine that!
A 65.5 head angle might seem steep? that was the norm for enduro bikes just a few years ago, so the big question is how slack is too slack? or are manufacturers just going to continue making their bikes slacker every few years until we end up with pinkbikes grim donut
@feedbackzaloop
Жыл бұрын
I think we might start deviding categories by HT angle instead of fork travel. Grim Donut definetely has all rights to exist, just not to be the model for every other bike

So true. Let's just skip a couple of years and start making 50 degree headset, 90 degree seattube angle with 38 inch wheels for a new Volcano Enduro racing category

#ASKGMBNTECH I recently built a Vitus Sommet but the headset feels like it is stacked incorrectly. Maybe like I’m missing a spacer somewhere. Something is knocking In the front end 🤷🏼♂️ how is it meant to be assembled.

How come Saracen is never ever mentioned on the channel? They're well represented in quite a few disciplines, make bikes for most of them and they're even from the UK
Hm, was going to find Bold Linkin here. But it's interesting how you go from restricted enduro Fuel to (sorry, Doddy) optimised downcountry Spectral

@feedbackzaloop

@@patrickryan9476 meaning it has only 140 rear travel. But the frame is beafy and packed with features like a proper enduro Slash
@patrickryan9476
Жыл бұрын
@@feedbackzaloop gotcha. I’m upgrading from a top fuel which is 120/120 so it’s a big difference for me. Most of what I ride the top fuel is perfect, so this gives me just a little more squish. And when I do get to travel to a park it can handle it, perhaps not quite as well as a longer travel but oh just the give and take balance of finding a do-it-all bike. Appreciate your feedback
@patrickryan9476
Жыл бұрын
@@feedbackzaloop I’m also learning that the quality of the suspension itself is often more important than the numbers. I’ll have some fun dialing it in. Glad to see they bumped it up from 140/130
Fantastic list of bikes but I'd like to hear more from UK brands. Maybe there are some that others have never heard of before but want to support are local bike manufacturers #askgmbntech

That way of thinking played a part in buying my bikes. I have a Whyte and an Identiti. In reviews my Whyte was very close to the Stump jumper Evo.
I´ve owned the vitus for a year now, I also own a 2022 commencal meta sx, and the vitus is just better, half the price, 90% of the performance, climbs great, descends great, it´s perfect.
the Atherton has such a short space for a dropper that you can't use a long dropper.. such an oversight. But with that in mind, I like the bike a lot.
I was noticing Anna's body language. She seems to be leaning away from Doddy?
Next time you see a Yeti blow by you in the wild and you notice it's beautiful Kashima coated Switch Infinity Link shining in the sun. Think of it as a piece of suspension goodness that your non Yeti could never have. It's the Yetis nutsack just proudly swinging in the breeze.
£2600 for an AL frame?! Trek are definitely taking the p***!
IMO the new trek fuel looks horrendous. A real pain to look at especially if you compare it to the previous models.
@patrickryan9476

I thought the exact opposite. I think it’s slick!
Ofc again Atherton bike... The brand that looks likes it's made of waterpipes. Also they got their designs for bikes from Robot Bikes. So yeah never invented the way of building their bikes. It was another company that invented that.
atherton the best on the list...
@patrickryan9476
Жыл бұрын
I’ve heard amazing stuff about atherton. I just can’t get passed the pipe connected looking frame. It’s not their problem… it’s mine.
There just saying bikes there linked to vitus is a chain reaction brand which there linked to same as canoy and we no Atherton has been all over there videos lately.
Nice
How could you leave off the Stumpjumper? It's easily the best trail bike out there. I've owned the Trek it was a piece of out dated junk

@gmbntech anything outdated with the 2023 top tier ex? I’m somewhat new to MTBing and just dropped big bucks on the EX 9.9. I’d rather not regret it :/
It's all about reverse-engineering the Stumpjumper Evo with the Fuel EX
Love the channel and everything but all these different categories of bike, trail, down country(that's the one I least understand) enduro, you people talk about, it's confusing, who's it all done for the custom of more like the industry. The categories have blurred lines that cross over each other and it makes it seem like people need at least three different bike's, which isn't a bad thing as long as you can afford it!! I come from a motocross background where everything is "What colour would sir want" so maybe I've just landed on my head one to many times😁..........or you could just get en EMTB.

Not sure why they went with the Vitus Mythique and not the Escarpe which is much more similar to the other bikes they listed. I’ve got the Sommet and absolutely love it. No other bike comes close to hitting the specs for the price.
Scott Gambler.
Trek Fuel or any Trek carbon bike: buyer beware! Trek is a company that prioritizes profits instead of making great bikes, as such their carbon frames are not designed with durability in mind and their warranty is nonsense in practice. At least this was my experience. And it's sad because I was a hardcore Trek fan.

Here's a video about the Whyte PRST We did on the main channel last month: gmbn.eu/PRST
For me Trek with their proprietary components does not work (I SOLD MY TREKS). Also, the integrated handle / Stem for regular Joe not ideal for lack of adjustability. The SCOR looks very similar to San Cruz VPP suspension! I wonder if the ride is similar to the Santa Cruz ( i.e. Hightower). Canyon has become like Giant too main stream. I have to say the atherton is very sexy bike. It reminded me of Look and Colnago lugged tubing. Hands dow. The bike I will get. I also can not wait for ENVE to come out with a MTB the way they started production on road bikes.
I hate TREK because they use QR in trail hardtail bikes!!!
