Passo di Tremalzo - perhaps not my all time favourite, but it's been the first proper alpine climb I got to ride on a bike and therefore has a place in my heart. I ride there every time I find myself at Lago di Garda or Ledro since. I think it was once part of the Giro, but I completed it only on the MTB and the trails from there are just awesome!

Must say I prefer GCN Italy's list. I'd have to go with my fav 3 Italian climbs: Stelvio, Mortirolo, Gavia
Conor, you're a lot of fun to watch. Your enthusiasm is infectious.
How about a video on the top 10 Alpine climbs NOT in Italy or France? These countries get all the attention, but Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia all have incredible climbs that easily match those on this list and they are just forgotten about (which is kind of great because the roads stay much quieter). Come and ride Grosse Scheidegg, Moosalp or Lago del Naret.

In Slovenia (my home country) there are two climbs that are amazing: 1. Mangart - breathtaking views and my favourite 2. Vršič - our version of the alpe d’huez
No Stelvio or Mortirolo?

Both iconic hard climbs. I thought the same by not including them but can see why Conor included some of the not so famous ones. Gavia is another great.
I enjoy watching your videos Conor, Your sense of humour as well as your passion for cycling, shines through and reminds me of your Uncle Roger; who we had the pleasure of riding with in the Vercors a few years ago. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for these Italian climbs review! I'm lucky to live in Como lake area and I climb "Il Ghisallo" almost every week! Amazing video as usual.
It's almost as if Connor prefers short climbs, can't imagine why 🤔😂
Great stuff Conor - you are cycling’s answer to motorcycling’s Guy Martin! Funny, warm, matter-of-fact and supremely modest...despite your talent and achievements.
Thank's for the Inspiration. In such a shortlist u may have missed some EPICS but learned a few new ones. Great Danke......DH

Deze video wil ik zien, weet ik eindelijk waar ik heen moet fietsen
Monte Serra (914m elev.) here in Tuscany, just south of Lucca. 3 ways to the top. Buti (14k's at 6.1%avg), Calci (Pisa side - best views, 12.2k's at 7.2%) and my favourite, from Sant'Andrea di Compito (12.7k's at 7%, with the mid-section averaging 9-10% for 5k's), with sneak-a-peak views through the trees on the way up, running water spots to refill bottles, lots of turns, and the best part, it's not busy with traffic. Lovely riding. The pros threshold test destination of choice. Cecchini also used to have his riders do their tests/timed efforts up here.
I think the Nivolet is unbeatable, but not the part ridden in the last Giro. The last part (often still with snow in may and in the "Gran Paradiso" park), from Lago Serrù to the top of the climb is like a paradise for cycling!

Great selection, some I had never heard of!
Love your list Conner

Dreaming indeed Conor.. thanks for a great set of memories.. let's hope it's not too long before we see it all again.. 👍🏻✊🏻👊🏻🚴

They were featured in the GCN Italia list; Connor said they wanted to have a whole different list, axcept for the first one, which is the only common climb in both list!
Really enjoyed that!
I prefer your list Conor, and maybe there is a bias.... The fact you are able to share your recent triumphs and experiences from the giro, is more compelling. Great stuff. (now just need to wait and save up to get over there)
Loving that the wine on the table isn’t Italian it’s Spanish...actually a bit worrying that’s the first thing I noticed....great video as always tho!
Can't wait to go back there and check some of these out.
Colin, This was a fantastic video. Filled with excellent back stories, and great insights... bu the views. Oh the views! Even non-cycling fans should watch this one.
Amazing video and Beautiful Italy
Awesome Video!
I have only climbed Giau from this list, but was I sure it would be on it! Awesome experience.
To see the Alps is to see the true soul of Italia...1 of the most amazing sights ive ever seen - really like Conor, and as he likes Italy like me, thats fine by me too !

Those GCN videos shot at Alta Badia made me went there...twice!

Cool, lots of climbs you wouldn't normally think of
Molto bene, Connor. After the top 10 USA I thought maybe I should go there. Now that I have watched the top 10 Italian ... USA will have to wait.
I've never seen GCN mention the epic, brilliant COLLE FAUNIERA (2481m) from Demonte, just NW of the Col de Tende. 16 miles of climbing from beautiful valley into wild, lonely, mountain scenery and, with plenty of 16% to contend with, it's not easy which makes it even more exciting to get to the top. For me this is better than the Fenestre (whose windows now have the curtains pulled as trees cover the views low down). I would love to see GCN do a video of a visit to the Fauniera (there are two other routes up).
Did the madonna del ghisallo 3 years ago now, loved the week i had there with my wife riding and running around lake como,. will be back there very soon I hope, what a fantastic place, still have the sticker on my planet x maratona from the museum!
I can vouch the beauty of La Madonna Del Ghisallo. Some sections of road are very narrow, but the views are worth it! xxx
@bobmillar672

Have you continued on to include Muro di Sormano? Well worth it!
Connor on the first one: it's my favourite climb of all time. Connor on the Passo Rollo: That's my favourite climb of this list. 🤔😂

Haha they are just all my favourite to be fair!
Ran up to San Luca when I was in Bologna, absolutely beautiful. Wish I had had my bike! Next time...
Perfect video for isolation...
This made me think, gcn presenters zwift race. Could it happen?
So cool
San Boldo, 10km from home! Always enjoyable, thanks! :-) Oh, the correct name is Passo Rolle ;-)
I'm a fan of the depth of field used on this video
Any list of Italian climbs without the Passo Rombo (Timmelsjoch) from Sankt Leonhard in South Tyrol is not worthy :) might be the most epic in the Alps - long, steep and away from everything.
This was an excellent list! As an Italian I actually liked it more than the GCN Italia one, cause Connor focused more on the scenery rather than the racing point of view so I can think about going to climb them to enjoy them as a tourist
Some really interesting and amazing looking climbs in there that I didn't know about. But how is the Mortirolo not in the top 10!
Makes me want to get out and ride my bike in Italy.
Colle delle finestre, Stelvio, Mortirolo, Gavia, Zoncolan...
The Italy is beautiful nation. An Italian is telling you 😀😀
I would go with your list Conor. A couple have got onto my personal list now ! Passo Giau...
@conordunne219

Thanks Thomas!! All a bit of fun.. just incredible how many amazing Italian climbs there are!!
my favourite part is the Spanish olive oil on the Italian climbs video :)
The Nivolet is " " ,can't describe its so awesome, it is heaven .shame you missed the best bit !, after seru there are so many switchbacks, the views are out of this world,I should upload it. You really should do gavia from ponte di legno hard very hard almost like mortirolo but it is out of this world! Even better than nivolet. It has a temper! It is always cold and usually shut, but if you do it in the mornings in the sun ,you would think you died and went to heaven.the stelvio is always nearby,it is iconic and is one of the easiest up to 2500 meters.it's funny how the Italian gradients are higher than advertised but it just makes you stronger. My hats off to all the giro riders doing these climbs! They race UP 20% gradients.the mortirolo from tovo St agata is a favourite,it's like zoncolan and mortirolo's baby, beautiful but crazy steep. Just look for the cemetery road at St agata!
I've ridden the Giau a number of times as part of the Maratona, and with 5 mountains in my legs it's always been a complete slog. Must go back and do it as a tourist with fresh legs as I'm sure the view is great. I can recommend turning right at the bottom and heading on to Cortina and over the Tre Croci climb and then on to do the Tre Cime too. Super stuff. There are a lot of relatively hidden gems in the Dolomites, with the Erbe and Duran passes particular favourites. I'd also recommend the Timmelsjoch on the border with Austria (the Italian side is much better). I presume the Gavia and Marmolada were omitted because they were on the Italia list. The Gavia is a breathtaking climb. Just stunningly beautiful. The Marmolada is beautiful through the gorge, and then bloody horrible on the dead straight, super steep stretch up to Capanna Bill.

Thanks for the comment, Adi! Great tips - definitely a few climbs for us to check out when we can!
Probably worth to mention the "Muro Di Sormano" alongside the "Madonna del Ghisallo". It is a couple of KMs away, also featured at "il Lombardia". 2km at 17%, maxing out at 25%. I'm not scared of anything after that one :D
Many wonderful climbs there. Been to 3 of them. But i can't understand how you left Mount Etna out of the list. It's so incredibly special and iconic.

What about mortirolo! Probably the best ride I have ever done 🙌🏼
Ya know, when Connor os sitting down you don't get distracted by his height and it's more obvious how articulate and passionate he is - as well as a damn fine bike racer.

The trick is that if you were sitting next to him, your chin would barely make it above the table.
You included the lovely Madonna di Ghisallo but failed to mention that if you carry on, drop down a bit and head back up (like Il Lombardia does) you reach the Muro di Sormano! An epic day ride never to be forgotten!
Simply ... Monte ZONCOLAN from the Ovaro side. No words can describe the difficulty of this climb, especially at the end of a long stage.
Conor, I noticed you're riding a De Rosa in your giro photos and thought you may have some advice to help stop a slipping seat post on my SK Pininfarina - I've tried finer grip and over torquing the post clamp but It always seems to slip down whilst im riding

Italy we are with you. Well, in UK you are overtaking us with corona cases so..
I did the col d'agnel from France
I went bikepacking twice in Italy. I would like to try other places but I feel there are still many beautiful climbs I have to do there. And the locals I met were really nice, contradicting the racism I always read about the football fans. And I love Italian football too. I just love Italy!

Not a great list imho. No Gavia, Zoncolan, Stelvio, Marmolada or Mortorolo. Can't believe The Poggio makes the list🤪 Anyway....good thought provoking video👍
Ha! I can’t believe you’re drinking French wine!
GCN Italia: 'Le 10 salite più dure mai affrontate dal Giro d'Italia', translated in '10 hardest climbs in the Giro'. That's why short climbes are not present in their list
Monte Donato and San Luca in Bologna. Want to ride the road up to Santuario di Montevergine in Avellino and the road up to Tiers in S. Tirol
To me the video would have been more informative if the respective profiles and elevation gains had been added.
We have too many beautiful climbs and choose 10 of them is a shame for the other 100!
Conor, when you're racing and climbing in the Giro do you get a chance to take in the views while racing? Or are you too busy concentrating on the road ahead?

Can we have a poll of how many times Connor reminds us he was in the Giro? Might even compete with Lloydy mentioning the Cervelo Test Team 😅
Maybe you should do something like the brownie point system of the fellow brits at sorted food, points could be awarded for correct guessing of race winners, victories in challenges... and of course points deducted for anyone who falls victim to the gcn curse
But the video in GCN Italy that was uploaded today is "the 10 hardest climbs ever climbed during the Giro" and not the favorite Italian climbs...
This bike was really easy to assemble kzread.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
Very beautiful. Probably none is doable by majority of the viewers anyway
No Umbrial Stelvio, no list.
Nice video, but the 4 adverts during the video completely ruined it.
Top1 Stelvio
are you drinking Spanish wine, Connor? :)
Жаль что я не знаю английский!
I'm sure GCN Italia only left off some of your choices from their list because their's was only climbs of the Giro...
