HiMYM is way worse IMO. At least the actual ENDING of the finale was great and the episode did make sense In terms of what we'd be presented for the season. HIMYM made literally their entire final season pointless to watch. It's easier to rewatch GOT than it is HIMYM

the interesting thing about himym is the hook was finally meeting the mother and it did that but then immediately skimmed over losing her to him getting with robin. i feel if there was a few episodes or even a season of him being completely heartbroken over losing their mother and robin being there to get him through it, it could have been much better but alas it was rushed and we ended up with what we got... 😢

I remember the Oscar mixup in real time, because the camera was mainly focused on the man giving the speech, but then you could see men in suits rushing in between the people behind and my dad was like, "something's going on" and my brother was like, "yeah somethings definitely wrong" and I was just there like ??? and it was such a yikes of a moment

Seriously the red wedding from Game of Thrones that made me cry the first time I saw it and now I’m all emotional all over again, I had to shut my eyes even though I’ve seen it so many times that was cruel

The Oscar mistake was because someone handed the presenters the envelope for "Best Actress" instead of "Best Picture". You can see Warren Beatty look visibly confused when he opens the envelope. He even does a double check to see if there's another card in the envelope.

First time I was actually shocked by a show was Negan and Glenn I wasn’t shocked by that GOT scene 😅

For the record- the finale of HIMYM, or at least the part with his 2 kids, was filmed back when the show started - just look at how young they are - so that was always their intended conclusion for the show. Years ago, I also saw an alternate final few minutes of the finale, which is a rapid sequence of flahsbacks & narration and no mention of Robin, but I'm not sure that it's genuine (but the voice did sound like the real Bob Saget).

The kids part was filmed back when they were doing season 2. The problem is that the characters grew and changed over the next several seasons making that ending no longer work, but they jammed it on anyway.

I personally only watch HIMYM alternate ending and pretend whatever hot garbage they went with didn't really happen

I knew it was a schtick when I saw Masterchef Kids and how he's really the supportive kind of person. Obviously he can't be mean to kids like he does in the adult counterpart of the show, but at some point you'd figure out it's just a persona that he's putting on as part of the show.
