I wish they would come up with a boomer box that adjust to sluices with different widths. I would totally buy one of those. Currently it only fits a 10 inch wide sluice. I have a 6 inch wide and a 12 wide box. I like the video. I just got the new Gold-N-Sand Quick Sniper yesterday at Oregon Metal Detectors in Salem, OR. I will be trying it out this weekend. It looks pretty awesome! You guys got some nice gold on your outing at the Umpqua. Heavy Pans!

It's a good product Gannon, I have one and the Boomer Box as well. I also extend the hose when needed. I need to get that attachment where the hose connects to the bucket!! Great to put a face on Cash! I've spoken to him but this is the first time I've seen him. Mike? Everybody know and loves Mike! Just spoke to him today on messenger.

@@pnwprospecting Yea, Mike asked if I was going to any shows. I will tell you the same thing I told him. I'm a one man show and stuck in the shop building along with everything else it takes to run this business. Believe me, I want to and one day after I can expand, I will.

I built one of those from home depot parts after watching a few videos on them. Mine does work well but I think I will shorten it because the stroke is so long it wears me out pretty fast. Fills a bucket fast though.

That is a very cool setup! I'm surrounded by ESH here in Hillsboro, so I usually go up to Washington on the East Lewis River, that would be so nice for boil holes and crevasses too. Cheers and thanks for sharing!

They just went through and put up a whole bunch more no trespassing signs along the lower section of the river have to go up above the campground now. I agree that would be great up there

@@pnwprospecting Yes a lot more signs last year. It's the timing restrictions that drive me nuts lol. Republic Mining has a couple claims North of the campground. That's were I usually go, I think it doesn't open back up until August tho...arrgh

@@bgreeny212012 I joined republic for a while last summer and checked out that claim up there. Maybe I was working the wrong spots but pretty much got skunked. I did sample several spots up and down the claim. That road to get there just about killed my car with crater potholes. Really should have a 4x4 or better ground clearance to get up there.

@@nefariumxxx I was there in February, found some decent colors. 10 to 15 pieces a pan, a few nice flakes too. I was petty impressed. Had a Greenhorn with me, first time out and he got to find some nice gold. Wish my first time was like that , lol. Cheers and thanks for stopping by! ⛏🤠👍

I have the same thing but the only thing I don't like is how the hose is ribbed. I'm going to change it out for a smooth hose.

Back in the early 90's, we located about seven of the abandoned underground mines if you go way up the gravel roads past the panning areas. Drove my celica across Dry Gulch and parked. Then hiked up past there. There was a huge trommel at one time up there. Some other gear. Fun stuff. Most of the mines were collapsed/flooded at entrance but there was one further up near the end of our adventure which still had light bulbs hanging in it and a pickaxe left behind. Still had a working wooden door at entrance. It did not go back very far but was still pretty fun to explore. I would imagine that one has probably been sealed off by the nannies at this point.

That area is all patented mines and I definitely wouldn’t go into any of them. They’re basically private property. But yes, there is a lot of neat history left up there!

  • @nefariumxxx

@@awayfromhome6612 The key question is if it's actually patented or not. Often times miners will put up no trespassing signs around claims when they are not supposed to do that unless it's actually patented. They just hope the public is scared off by them without checking the data. Common misconception is that the public is not allowed to explore claimed areas. They are. The claim only prevents people from taking minerals/rocks.
