Ok yeah Jacob was right lol. There is a scene where the director is talking to an audience of his subordinates and it's like 15 people in the crowd lmao. He's giving a really impassioned speech. It doesn't cut away to him on cameras. It cuts to Daiji and gives us a wide view of the auditorium lol

Welcome back Matt This is gonna be really long because I'm gonna talk about every character and the problems with each of them and the absolutely terrible villains. Aguilera As a villain I never took her seriously because she did absolutely nothing for the entire first half of the series. Then she switched sides because of course he did. Also she said she left the name Aguilera behind and decided to live her life as Hana but she became Kamen Rider Aguilera..... Julio He started off as the brawn of the Deadmans. Then he switched sides because of course he did and became a bumbling idiot. Orteca Way better than than Aguilera. I actually like this guy. He killed so many people. Unfortunately at the end he came back and did absolutely nothing. But at one point he became Demons and absolutely destroyed Hiromi... But.. that kind of ruined the show. Hiromi being gone made Revice boring and interesting. So they brought him back. Ikki I'm gonna nitpick here. Him walking with his back completely straight actually made me annoyed because no one walks like that 100% of the time. It made him look stiff and idiotic in my opinion. Daiji Terrible character. Him becoming a villain towards the end made absolutely no sense. One episode he says "don't give up. We're the ones in the right" implying that Akaishi is in the wrong, and the very next episode HE GIVES UP AND JOINS AKAISHI!!!!! What were the writers thinking??? Apparently he joined Akaishi because he was mad that he destroyed Kagerou but that legitimately makes zero sense. He was perfectly fine the entire time after he destroyed Kagerou and now all of a sudden he's mad that he did it? Terrible Kagerou Way better than Daiji. In every way possible Hiromi THE BEST CHARACTER! George Him becoming angry that his dad died turn him into a villain for a little bit and I liked it. Him crying and screaming because of his dad's death made me actually feel some emotion in this show for the second time. I liked the Kamen Rider Juuga suit despite it feeling like the suit was just put together out of nowhere. Sakura Another case of a female Rider getting beat on basically the entire series, and she got really annoying at the end with her constant screaming, complaining and crying. I do like her final form. I was basically begging the writers to give her a new form because her base form gets beat on the entire series. But her final form basically accomplishes nothing. It gets fodderized by Juuga soon after it debuts. Vice Completely ruined the show for me numerous times. There would be a serious scene and here comes Vice making jokes and being annoying AND HE DOESN'T CHANGE AT ALL. Literally no character development at all!!!! Terrible. I remember when Giff first spoke and it was basically ruined immediately by Vice making idiotic noises. Weekend Useless group that does nothing besides die Hikaru Useless character that does nothing at all then he randomly becomes a Rider when he was a background character for 40+ episodes, and his suit was SO BAD!!! Easily one of the worst suits in Rider history. Abysmal. Not only that let's not forget that when everyone was getting beat on by the villains Hikaru flew in and saved everyone but when his mom was on the verge of death he doesn't do anything besides allow the villains to hold him down with ONLY ONE FOOT, and Hikaru struggles to get up... Then after she dies he gets up... Zero sense. Akaishi Terrible villain Giff He's basically Ginis from Zyuohger. He does nothing the entire series then he dies. Trash. I couldn't take him seriously either. Every time he spoke I just imagined Kakashi from Naruto trying to talk evil because they have the same VA. Vail Was hyped up like this big bad guy then he gets beat on in basically every episode afterwards. Masumi He puts a demon in his son and dies Genta He was alright. I liked his Kamen Rider Destream suit. Except for how pointy his chest was. But he was pretty cool. I liked his final fight with Vail. I like that Yukimis actor sang the insert song to their fight. Yukimi She was pretty and her younger self was played by Sakurako Okubo who played Hammie in Kyuranger. That's about it since she does nothing the entire series. Rating 5/10 During the final fight I felt absolutely nothing. No emotions at all. Nothing. The show was good when Hiromi was around but as soon as he left the show for a bit it got really bad! At least Revice was better than Saber.... But that's not saying much..

Hiromi was fine until that "death" he had that turned out to be a temporary memory washout, and the whole plot afterward... I don't know what they wanted to do with the character but it definitely didn't work out.

Yeah, when the Destream vs Crimson Vail fight felt more of a finale instead of the one we get, you probably have done something wrong.

*What I liked about Revice:* -Dynamic between Ikki and Vice -George Karizaki -Despite being 50th Anniversary, it wasn't essential to the plot compared to Decade/Zi-O. -While Aguilera and Tamaki stopped being villains, they still have some relevancy within the season. -Genta vs Vail *What I disliked about Revice:* -Kamen Rider Demons (Rider itself, not the users). Felt it didn't have enough presence and being some Title that you can pass onto whoever's worthy. -Oretca should've stayed dead. -Without Kagero to balance his justice and resolve, Daji became unlikeable at the time. -Weekend is fairly forgettable aside from Masumi and development of Demon Troopers. *Honorable Mention(s):* -Giff. Hardly a Big Boss with character rather a Force of Nature which I guess isn't so terrible. -I kinda want Yukimi as a Kamen Rider but that would've make sense to the plot. _FINAL VERDICT:_ Huge Improvement after what happened with Saber.

It's great to see you back Matt!

I appreciate how this show goes in on the themes of inner demons, that is to say the darker parts of people or the parts they're ashamed of, and how those qualities manifest at least for the demons of the main three kids: Vice is Ikki's extroverted and nosy nature, Kagerou is Daiji's willingness to utilize dirty methods and sacrifice others, and Lovekov is Sakura's insecurity over not having the power to defend her loved ones and resolve certain issues. What's also shown with their demons is how they deal with them since Ikki wholly embraces his demon, Daiji tries to push it down as much as possible, and Sakura ignores hers as much as she can. If you want to include the dayde in this, he tried to move on from and forget Vail, who represented the ferocity and cruelty he experienced in war times, only for it to come back hard as if Vail was PTSD incarnate. These four and others in the show play to the theme of inner demons well and it's part of why I like the show. Also for some things from this video: Giffard Rex uses magnet powers (which follows from the electricity + wind form (electricity making magnets), which followed from the hot + cold form (differing temperatures creating electricity)), I loved the actor for Akaishi because of how much of a freak he was (reminded me of something from Filthy Frank tbh), and I don't know what Matt is talking about with Aguilera since the actual atrocity of a suit in this show is Over Demons. Kind of sad you guys didn't like the show that much, it was fun for me, though I will admit Giff was a "sit on my ass" villain and George's explosion of daddy issues at the end was kind of dumb.

I also really liked what they tried to go with for Danji with Holy Wing, where without Kagerou he was a Villainous Paragon but it ended up being so frustrating cuz he was just being an idiot eventually

@@rescuerex7031 I see it more as desperation than idiocy because part of him losing Kagerou was that he became too self-righteous, thinking that his path of surrendering to save humanity was the only right one and that deriving from it would mean he's wrong. Even when Giffard Rex came along and showed how powerful it was, Daiji was still set on his own ideas for saving humanity (and possibly still thought Giff was too strong) which could've been exacerbated by the fact that the solution was coming from Ikki, who he's had major issues with in the past as an overshadow. Him witnessing his dad and Vail do their final fight was a major shake to his self-righteousness because now he was doubting whether he was on a right path and even if he can go back (sort of like Horobi in 01), which is why Kagerou coming back was a giant relief to him.

I liked Revice a lot more than Saber but I'd say that Touma's actor is better as he conveyed emotion more convincingly rather than making faces like Ikki's a lot of the time (- ^ ) This was the season intended to be led by Sakura and I kinda wished it really was cause she is in the top 3 characters with George and Hiromi. Best Kamen Rider dad award goes to Genta (-_^ )

Man I have A LOT to say about this show. It started off so strong, but then the final 12 episodes were all between good, bad, and terrible. I have to admit I was one of those people from the last review that said they liked Revice. It was a really good show when it started off. It was funny, but serious. The show went off the wall during the mid 20s. I HATED the Daiji "I think I'm doing what's best for mankind" arc. That SHIT SUCKED and it came out of no where and made absolutely no sense why Daiji turned bad for that moment. It was like it was done just to get to the suit upgrade. The main villain was so terrible just like Sabers. It was an anti-climatic final fight as well. The best part of the series was how the suit upgrades for Ikki was handled. They did a way better job of displaying all of Ikki suits without making them appear and then disappear way to fast like Sabers did. I actually liked Vice. I didn't think he was annoying. I was sad the countdown just disappeared. I agree with Jacob the show is ugly as hell lmao. I also didn't understand why the Deadman was based off a mariachi band and they did nothing with that design. I also didn't like Haruki. I felt like he wanted to become a rider out of no where. I thought Tamaki should have always became over demons. They literally waited until the last 5 episodes to give Tamaki a driver. Akaishi felt like a good villain he definitely over acted his ass off lmao. At one point you could see spit when he's being way to serious lmao George was probably the best character. I loved him. The way he randomly talk English was always funny. I loved his final arc about his dad too. I felt that one. I damn near cried when he was crying and yelling. After the Hana storyline the show coasted for a good 8 episodes. It got bad, it got really bad. The anniversary part was thrown to the side. There was no more mentioning of the other rider series after like episode 10. It was just annoying because they were doing a pretty good job incorporating the past riders and it was abandoned. This show was a mess. A goddamn mess. It started off soooooooo good, but idk what the fuck happened. I'm going watch Geats with caution. They're 0-2 so far for me since I started watching KR as it air. The same thing that happened to Sabers happened to Revice. Revice might have been worst than Sabers story structure wise. But just like Jacob, nothing in Revice made me angry. I was just like "Ok? That's stupid..."

Despite its flaws, Revice was an enjoyable watch especially after Saber was such a borefest

Here’s why > Toshiki Inoue is an awful writer and I will never forgive him for giving for making the fans disliked Hibiki because of it's staff change with Shirakura and Tsukasa's death such disrespect in Decade vs Zi-o Spin off. i love how everyone in the kamen rider community shares a universal hate towards Inoue Toshiki. lol

Did you have no idea the last 10 writer didn't even feel like know how to end the story but instead they make the final Giff fight so underwelming that they didn't even make Ikki become evil being posses by giff just like in the opening ... & then they put KR Juuga for only 2 episode which make Juuga feels like Monster of the week .. If only they make juuga appear in middle episodes after thunder gale debut that will be way better exacution so we can see the build up character on George being villain,, last but not least Ikki & Vice character in 2nd half of the after the really good thunderGale debut they went from MC to NPC, there so many plot focus on other character like Sakura, Daiji, Hikaru ( which nobody care) & genta rather than keep focus on Ikki & Vice ... Even worse they put main Sakura has a main highlight for Giff final fight on episode 46 , no Ikki & vice I was like why?? Is this what you said they cared about what's going on?? Even saber 2nd half of the show they put more focused on Touma rather than other character ...

I hate how out of all the belts in the show only 2 them use the stamps gimmick. Revice has a printed screen effect and Demons has a little animation when ever a stamp is pressed.

Interesting item: Kamen Rider Jeanne’s Belt, Libera Driver is PROBABLY a nod to her then-talent agency Libera…🤨🤔🤔🤔🤷🏾‍♂️ and EVIL/Kagero was CRIMINALLY underused

Matt!! The trio is completed again. I gotta say my favourite charater is Daiji like most charaters are ussually fun and enjoyable buy Daiji's story and charater really hits me right at home. If I had to explain why then I have to dive deep into my personal life so no. But Daiji's inferiorty complex,hatred and jealousy to Ikki is something I myself really relate to (not to mention I'm also the middle child of a sibling of 3). And I don't if other middle childs suffers these issues but having an older sibling thats completely perfect in every single way is good but it leads to people specificly wanting the middle sibling to be better than the first one and that puts a lot of preasure on the middle one since he/her has to reach people's expectation and when they failed to do so, they not get insulted but compare to the older sibling like "Why can't you be like_____!?" Which makes Daiji's reason why he join Fenix kinda sad if you think about it. Its not like he wants to protect the world is actaully because hwme wanted to be better than Ikki and the fact that the family rarepy address Daiji's success as the captain of Fenix makes his effort to get to that rank worthless and ignored. Not to mention he was the original canidate to become Revice in the first and have Ikki taking the belt and stealling the spotlight which was address by Kagerou.

I came for the aspects and gimmick, and I stayed because of Hiromi

I cannot remember the last time Jacob looked like he actually enjoyed a Kamen Rider show. Keep your chin up Jacob.

Wow, I think this is the review I disagree with you guys the most. I loved Revice. Is this show perfect? No, there are definitely things that this show could have done better. But this show is still one of my top 5 favorite rider shows. I love the characters, the villains grew on me a lot more after the first arc, I liked the suits, I love the opening, and I really liked the whole story. I understand all of your complaints with this show, but I personally didn’t have most of those problems, cause stuff like the Fenix director, the villains at the beginning, and parts of Daijis turn I wasn’t the biggest fan of, but that’s about it. I loved this show and this is definitely my favorite rider show of the Reiwa era so far, and I don’t care if I’m one of the few people who thinks that, I’ll happily stand by that.

@@WebheadFlash revice has a lot of good stuff but we can't deny that how awful & underwhelming the main boss in this show which Giff him self all he do is just keep hiding in other dimension & that's it ... its so bad that in the final battle on Giff they put hightllight on Sakura instead of ikki & vice?? that is not a good writing design at all when Zero one & Saber doing way better for the final boss with horobi & storious but anyway revice it's ok show as a whole there a lot of stuff i like especially the first half of the show & there's a lot of stuff that i hated especially the 2nd half mess of the show

I ask this because in case you weren't aware, Shout Factory is not only brining back Sentai DVD's, but they are also putting out Kamen Rider on Blu-ray. Zero-One came out last year and Kuuga is coming out next week. Abaranger is available for preorder and it's coming out in November.

I don't buy physical media anymore, but I'd probably buy OOO. For Sentai, Kiramager.

I really enjoyed revice, but a complaint I forgot was I felt the character Julio/Tamaki got did soooo dirty. As Julio he was fun, confident, competent and just seemed like good people.... And he lost all but ONE of those things after he went berserk and lost his contract. I wish they gave him a chance as Tamaki, cared more about him than any of WEEKEND. Also Marcus had me confused when he kept mentioning Sakura's story being a big drive, because unless I'm misremembering I felt she had the LEAST to do of the 3 siblings, though I liked the relationship between her and Hana at least.

I think the ending actually worked. It showed kids different ways to grieve and how people go about it. Say what you want about the build up or lack thereof but with George, he really sold it when he broke down and just cried asking for his daddy. He was looking for that connection and relationship he missed out on, and while he shouldn’t have been as petty and stubborn as he was when he had the CHANCE to still talk to him, on a more human level it’s understandable because we all have moments like that, where we should do something but because we’re petty and selfish we don’t, and not only until the dad dies does he realize that, hey, that’s was kind of a dumb thing to do. With the final two episodes, the whole thing between Ikki and Vice is pretty well summed up in Ikki’s character song, Kimi wa Sono Mama de, and that’s basically what Ikki is thinking while Vice disappears. It was two close friends that might not ever see each other again, like when in real life a close friend lives far away and you don’t have their contacts or something when you’re like 5, and Vice IS still inside of Ikki, as much is stated in the show. So even though Ikki forgets Vice, Vice still exists and is remembered by everyone else, and the times that they had together still exist and while Ikki can still remember during their final play fight, that’s all that they relish in. Again, concept vs. execution. It definitely wasn’t paced the best to say the least but the idea and the eventual execution of those ideas were enough to at least understand what they were going for in my opinion.

But still Blade got better Bitter sweet ending than what revice did, Blade ending fight is all you need is just 2 rider and there nobody watching them with serious tone which is perfectly executed than being watch by multiple peeps with Comedy tones it's just doesn't work

Also, yay Matt is here!!!!

Vice was the best character in the show....He's both HILARIOUS, and also probably the most caring person, especially around the end when you realize the contract stuff.

Matt has returned! I'm not sure if this was the perfect way to return, or the worst. It's too bad Revice was disappointing, but you guys seemed to have fun tearing it apart. Hopefully, you'll be around when they eventually do Jiraiya, because I think you'll actually like that Metal Heroes show.

Revice wasn't perfect and could have been better. But even then is still one of my favorite seasons of the franchise and the most fun I had with Reiwa so far

the series filled with so much wasted potential, it just went downhill mid season . However, i still have some things that i like about it especially during the first half, its a 6/10

I think that the show is at its strongest when it focuses on family and the bonds that come from it cause I really ended up caring for this family (even Daji to some extent). In terms of anniversary seasons I think this is better than both Decade and Zi-O (both shows that I enjoy but agree that they are a trainwreck) so while this show has flaws I don't think it's the worst.

I fell off of Revice but i lasted longer than i did watching Saber.

I think Revice is fine. The epitome of C-tier. It's not the worst thing ever, and tbh I've come to realize that Kamen Rider in general has a lower standard of overall quality to start with vs Sentai (still need to watch some Ultra so can't comment on that), so I think it takes a bit more to really make it to the shit tier. And when putting it up against the stretch from Build/Zi-O/Zero One/Saber, it's not as bad as any of those. This isn't an endorsement, moreso that I just can't be bothered to get mad at this one.

Great to see Matt back! Now for my thoughts on Revice, well I’m split down the middle. I thought the first half was good, but it really fell off for me in the second half. Lots of questionable writing decisions, and a lot of dumb shit happening. Juuga being the most egregious imo. I also didn’t care for most of the characters, not cause they were bad (for the most part) they just didn’t do anything for me aside from a few like Genta and Sakura to an extent. Again didn’t hate this, but didn’t really like it either, it’s a pretty meh season imo

There are things I like in revice like the suits, characters, action. But I dropped the show like the last third of the show.

Great to see Matt again. This video should really be renamed talking shit about revice. Also I don't think you mentioned about the insert songs but to me are one of the best. I love Volcano and Mirage Mirror

its good to see matt is back! btw Revice to me is mediocre show at best... * the good = i really love the first of the show until the debut of thunder gale form, this is when they still have a bunch of good plotwist here & there, so many character that can potential carry the whole show & last but not least i really like some of the family aspect in this show * the bad = i truly hate the 2nd half of the show, at the moment where they remove orteca, hiromi & kagero thats has potential carry trough out the show thats where the show starting went down hill, has they keep introduce too many new character that don't even care about like hikaru & the rest of weekend organization, the new villain Akaishi is actually kinda good but the acting was cringe & while Giff was completely underwhelming main Boss, a lot of Arc are stretches too much long which make me feel boring just like daiji arc, some truly unnecessary episode like KR juuga Arc, George should just stay has supporting cast instead of forcing him into rider for only TWO episode which is somehow make him like monster of the week KR Den - 0 style....,, i don't like the fact that the writer is trying to completely overshadow our duo MC ikki & vice too other character especially sakura i mean just look at episode 45, why you put sakura has the main highlight in final Giff fight not ikki & vice?? giff was the actual main boss in this series so the duo MC it should be focus plot in this episode. its because too many arc that doesn't have anything to do with ikki & vice in this 2nd half of the show, its just make both character development feels absolutely lacking & this is why in my Toku community a lot of peeps saying Sakura is the real MC while ikki & vice feels like NPC from episode 30 up to episode 45 & this is just not a good writing design at all,, if you compare with KR double & KR OOO which both have duo protagonist just like KR revice does but they did really good job for mainly focusing on the duo MC it self, we can always see the dynamic between shotaro & philip and eiji & ankh trough out the show which is why they are much memorable in comparison with Ikki & vice the concept of final conclusion between ikki & vice at episode 50 is actually good but in the most laughable way, why you put too many people watching behind & cheering ikki vs vice fight each other its just Ruin the SAdness moment & make the whole fight feels like a bunch people cheering & watching 2 random guy fight together,, this fight is should be just ikki & vice alone so the execution is much better,, so overall KR revice is just completely waste potential

I really hated Faiz. Here’s why > Toshiki Inoue is an awful writer and I will never forgive him for giving for making the fans disliked Hibiki because of it's staff change with Shirakura and Tsukasa's death such disrespect in Decade vs Zi-o Spin off. i love how everyone in the kamen rider community shares a universal hate towards Inoue Toshiki. lol

Have you guys enjoyed any of the modern riders? Seems like you hate most of them. Anyway, I really enjoyed this season after being iffy on it. Jeanne is my favorite rider ever

I liked the first 20 episodes of the series (episode 14 is my favorite), but then both the plot and the character development dropped too much. And the ending was disappointing like most kamen rider endings I've seen. I really liked the first episode of geats, I hope it can be a "what should have been" ryuki. also, yes.... the opening is the definition of clickbait. i was hyped from ikki scene when he´s crying in destroyed building but... that never happens. also when ikki´s leaving a building in mid of explosions

Why didn't you guys mention Hikaru, the worst character in the show wearing some of the worst suit in the show and is completely not earn whatsoever.

(Even though his debut is 20+ episodes way too late, got spotlight stole by Kamen Rider Aguirela, got overshadowed by Jeanne final form which came out of nowhere and got his ass handed to him by not Kuuga Ultimate. God, does the writer hate Tamaki this much.)

I love Zero-One, but Thouser ruined for me and Azu. Thouser lasted too long, turned good too quickly, and Azu came in too late. Revice barley had moments like that. So, Zero-One still great, but Revice was better. Especially, with Sakura doing more than Valkyrie.

Huh...For me Reiwa rider was a big miss...Zero-one was good initially but destroyed by covid. It's the “best” Reiwa rider...if you compare to Saber and Revice, but looking at how good Ex-aid was...Reiwa rider means nothing.

So far Geats's first episode didn't really impress me. No monster or villians. Just grunts. That is not a good start.

Great to see Matt back! Revice to me is a Hibiki 2.0, but the first 29 episodes wasn't nearly as good as Hibiki, and then the writing goes downhill since episode 30. Starting from this point I don't care anything about this show. So yeah, Revice was a disappointing show for me, I'd say it's slightly better than Saber, but I don't think is a good show. Like Jacob, from Build, Zi-O, Zero-one, Saber to Revice, there're five shows in a row that I didn't like, and that's more than just disappointing. Hope Geats can stop that streak for me. With that being said, Donbrothers has been amazing so far, I'd prefer sentai over kamen rider at least for the Reiwa era. At least both kiramager and zenkaiger were good in their own ways.

So you didn't like the past 5 KR shows. Then how would you describe the state of Kamen Rider overall from your POV then? Because, oof. Zi-O and Saber are among the absolute worst Rider shows for me while Build, Zero One, and Revice were good IMO.

Ok... Revice... Let's pull the bandaid off right away. At least to me, Revice is by far the worst Rider show I have ever watched. Nothing really clicks here. The cast meanders from straight up unlikable to anoying. Ikki and Vice get next to nothing to do and speedrun through their development, making them dull. Also, Vice is just straight up a worse imitation of Momotaro without the charm. Both are just unable to carry the show as protagonist and have a lot of cool ideas that never really go anywhere with any emotional weight. I'll say, the two living alone was kinda nice, but just way too late. Daiji is frustratingly underutilized and just annoyingly frustrating in how non-existent his relation to his demon is. The Live, Evil dynamic was utterly wasted and he has very sporading bursts of growth. What also annoyed me to no end is Kagero not dying and waiting for him to admit Daiji needs him and... Daiji already did? He wanted to work with you! You were the one who chose death! Sakura feels like a character that repeats the same lessons over and over, and she just personally annoys me. When your debut consists of realizing your weaknesses and how much you overestimate yourself, shouting that you are now invincible because of that is not progress, it's complete regression and the show seems to completely miss that point. Hiromi, I honestly just found dull and annoying during his exit episodes just felt more like a kid playing pretend hero instead of actually doing the right thing and stepping down. That really ended up being my interpretation for him in the first half of the show. A glory hog who wanted to pretend to be a hero without actually doing the painful, hard things. He also ended up not really doing anything in the show, neither plot wise nor character development wise for others. The Deadman are funny in the first arc, but... Besides that, end up just underwhelming. Akaishi is bizarre, inconsistent, and just a mess. Evil Mc. Evilface for the majority of his time, then suddenly family man!? Giff is just a big, dull void who does nothing and says nothing even when he gets to speak. Hikaru is my favorite Rider in the show by the sole fact that he is so underwritten that when they don't entirely fuck up his arc, he automatically gets that rank, and he is also subpar as a character! He's ignored for the majority of the show, speedran through his development in like 4-5 episodes before falling off the face off the earth. This cast is abysmal, straight up. Hell, the entire cast is overshadowed massively by Chimera in his special, which is 25 minutes simply because it's perfectly competent. Not great, just competent. The story is basic and often just does not flow well, has terrible setup, breaks its own rules, and the pacing is consistently atrocious, flipping from Mach 5 to snail's pace. That counts for both the macro and micro storytelling. The story overall is a mess that is plagued by rewrites no one thought about how to integrate or how they would affect the show in the long run. And the individual episodes are equally bad, often just completely screwing up the resolution and handing the heroes the win because there is not enough time for actually good writing. Straight up some of the worst MoW stories in the franchise which shoot themself in the foot at every opportunity. The show feels like a first draft that never went through editing. But the biggest flaw I have with the show that is incapable of paying off any of its ideas in even close to a satisfying way. Giff's awakining? Goes nowhere for half the show as he just sits in the background. The memory plotline is reduced to an epilogue and has absolutely no bearing on anything else. George's shady side results in 2 episodes of filler plot after his character already was derailed to good guy. Not a single development gets a satisfying conclusion and the closest the show came to it was with Vail and Genta but even that feels like significantly weaker version of Ren and Desast. Quite frankly, I really didn't enjoy my time with the show... Let's hope Geats tickles my fancy more.

Ren vs Desast, to me, felt like to 2 stars in a wrestling show that have bad chemistry together and the writing team struggling for ideas decided, "We're going to set up a feud with these characters out the blue." Genta vs Vail at the very least made watching Revice miniseries fell invested. Plus they're both Soichi and Evolto done right and I'll die on this hill for my argument.

@@layton1362 My disdain comes from Ren's stubbornness to pursue his own path and not return to Sword of Logos whilst poor Desast was labeled as a disposable tool created on a whim by Storious. Which is a shame, Desast felt he has potential going on. Originally, I was going to hate on Genta because the "Evil Dad troupe" and his Rider form being a self promotion to Vail miniseries. Now I realized him being a goofball living the family life is almost escapism (before his past memories return). Almost thought he eventually gets killed off for the sake of stopping Vail permanently.

Revice had its moments to shine here & there but overall it was really underwhelming. 3/10

At a certain point, Hiromi became the only reason to watch Revice. Everyone else was annoying, inconsistent, or stupid. Ps : The Igarashi matriarch is a groomer.
