It's a mixture of things. Klopp always has to over achieve because the owners don't ever buy the finished product (but when Klopp over achieves during the season, the fans forget.) You then have the fact that the front 3 is not clinical enough and Salah is past his best. Klopps tactics are going out of fashion. And finally Klopp has never been good at breaking down defensive teams that pack out the midfield

I do agree that Liverpool failed to finish, but I also think we need to consider that Palace are 2-0 up if Robertson doesn't makes a brilliant save off the line on Mateta's well-taken dink. JP also had a point blank chance that hits Alison. Put another way: Liverpool had six shots on target, Palace had five. It's an excellent three points.

At the time, I always thought Klopp's decision to announce he's leaving midway through the season was a strange one. You've seen it in other teams when there's rumours spreading that the manager is going to be sacked at the end of the season and the players just stop playing for him. Although this is a completely different situation, his announcement didn't seem to affect the players straight away and if anything the great form we were on continued so everyone and myself included thought maybe the announcement will galvanize the team to produce a great send off for him. But as the season went on and his last day came closer and closer, I wonder if nerves and anxiety about the future crept into the team slightly. Especially when it was looking like Alonso will be the replacement then that didn't materialise and it's still very unclear on who's taking over. I thought the Carabao cup victory will push the team on to go and win more trophies but if anything it's done the opposite. 3 cup exits within a span of 3 weeks is just unimaginable. In hindsight looking back, I wonder if his announcement halfway through the season was a good one.

He should've been sacked last season already! He made a lot of telling mistakes with his selections. I'm happy he's leaving. The incoming coach should sell van Dijk, Salah, Gomez, Trent, Nunez, Matip and Tsimikas - make some money and buy proper replacements. How does a big team like Liverpool go about life with just one proper defender (Robertson)..?

Everything is frantic... typified by Nunez who as a finisher is woeful.

Before Salah came back, we played as a unit, never looked like losing. Since he came back, W1 D1 L2 all against sides we should be beating. He was dreadful today but still better than the show pony Nunez who expended more energy attacking the chair after Curtis' miss that in the 60 odd minutes he'd spent on the pitch. Manager needed to show bottle today, he didn't.

As much as I like Kloppe, I have to admit it Liverpool don't deserve the title, and Guardiola is tactically much better than Klopp, you cannot lose two consecutive games against two midtable teams at anfield and just blame the players for that. the title and Eu cup gone, what a disappointing ending of the season, I have really pain and don't want to watch the rest of the games.
