Blondie did it as a cover. It was actually first performed by a Jamaican group The Paragons in the 60s.

justin how about doing guitar lesson on the spice girls been 20 years since they released first single think song mama would be good song learn on guitar

This kind of song is apparently simple. The most simple songs are the hardest to play. Of course we have the chords and we can play it !! What a miracle...but what was supposed to be a funny and pleasant song turns to be a real drama for the ears.

just seen how you play the A chord, with your index finger below the middle (i've always played A with index, middle, ring going down)

What does he mean put the capo on 2 then speed it up "20cents??"... He said instructions on the website.. But the website just says exact words in the video " 20 cents?" I've never heard of 20sents I dont knoe wat it means in music? Do I put capo on 2 and move my hands further down in frets? Or am I supposed to change my guitar tuning . I dont get it . " please explain " miss Hanson.. ;-)

I'm 3 years late to the party here lol but it's just a style preference. You'll find a lot of artists tune slightly flat or sharp. During the britpop era a lot of artists tuned slightly sharp for example.

Sometimes they recorded the instruments in tune but slowed the tape afterwards while recording the vocals in order to help the vocalists get a certain pitch right. Every once in a while i have to shift the audio exactly half a half step in order to do a play along.
