Re: the first 4 chords; 1)D 2)D-with a C base 3)(D-with a B base) or (G with a B base) 4)(G) or (D with a G base )? I am l little confused.
But what did Petty actually play? Every other KZread video is either e with capo one, or D with capo 3. Which one is it?
The lady can sing!
reggie young wrote the guitar part
Thank you so much for doing this masterpiece Justin! I discovered it last summer thanks to you and I have been dreaming to play it since then. I am super grateful mate!

Hi @justin, is there coming a part 2 of satch boogie..? 🎸🤘
You need to do an update of this @justin
Nice, thanks!
I actually prefer your version of the lyrics, Tarantino would have definetely used your version if he heard it.

thanks Justin!
i saw them in Dallas in 1968 and there is a vid on here somewhere
I’m really new to guitar. You need to explain this a lot better. What frets to use what string numbers to use. Lay it out for me as what fret and string to use so I can write it down.
Lovely stuff, Justin!
Hey Justin, Would love to see a lesson "Calling Elvis" by Dire Straits
How do you change from clean to distorted like that in the intro?
You are on an absolute rampage with these blues lessons!! Keep it up
Your singing has come a long way Justin!

Thank you Justin. Maybe some Lightnin’ Hopkins?
Great Song and great lesson. You really terrific given that the record has 4 great guitar players and who knows how many house players.
Thanks Justin!! I love this one!
Love it, been thinking of doing this at open mic, nice to have the little melody solo. Great stuff, again, thanks.

You are definitely the best and clearest teacher here on YT. And your songbooks are great, too. Thank you very much.
As a beginner on his last stretch toward "complete amateur" status I gotta say, your lesson is very helpful and approachable. Advice from myself: - practise, practise and then practise a little more (memory muscle is a must in case of learning chords and fretboard). It is VERY EASY to do (learning chords and fretboard) it simply requires repetition and practice, that's all. - do not worry about strumming patters AT ALL. Just make sure the rythm is there and chords. Strumming keep as simple, as you can, for you to be comfortable and for it not to get in the way of PRACTICING RYTHM AND CHORDS. Strumming will come to you, once you will get crazier with music you play, you will start to experiment by yoursefl (actually this is where the fun with playing music begins, when you realize, you can play, whilst playing music :) - sometimes the best way to practice guitar, is TO NOT PRACTICE guitar for a while. :) - and last but not least: TRY TO BE RELAXED while playing. I think it was the hardest thing for me to get over, the stress. Especially, when some else was there to listen what I played. Try to be relaxed to the extend, as you did not care about the guitar at all. The more gentle (subtle) interaction with guitar is, the better you will sound :)
The name of the lesson should have been: "A boy named "A" :)
WEIRD I know the chords and rough idea of the strumming from MarinMusic's unorganised tutorial (sorry stuart) and I was struggling but from only paying half attention to this I can no play the opening just fine, WHY AREN'T I SUBBED??
Great video!
Thanks, Justin! Really helpful!
