Reading posts from fellow ThinkPad enthusiasts, a few models kept getting discussed more often than the other, one of which being the X220. People seemed to love them a little too much, and it appeared as if every ThinkPad enthusiast had to have one of those. During my adventures, when I got to try one in first person, that’s when I understood what all the hype was about.

I still have mine, although I can't remember if I have the X220, 230 or 240. Either way, after owning my ThinkPad for a few years I decided that Lenovo makes the best laptops

They certainly used to make some of the best machines, but most people believe the quality has been on a decline in the recent couple of years. Regardless, the old machines aren't going anywhere, at least for a decade or two, aren't they? 🙂
Im really considering getting one, Can you share how long can the battery last? On some daily tasks such as Open several tabs in a browser and running windows.

These processors draw a lot of power compared to the newer revisions. It isn't horrible, but I wouldn't expect more than a couple of hours. Of course, that depends on the size of battery we're talking about, and whether it's used genuine battery that has already lost a part of its capacity, or an eBay knockoff that is barely ever good.

HOW GOOD CAN x220 RUN VIDEOS IN 1080P?

I've used it watch movies on a 4K television screen at 1080p, and it does seem to render smoothly. Using the machine while doing that does cause stutters at times though.

Currently, I have one genuine battery that came with the machine when I bought it from eBay, and then two from KingSener, one of which has been faulty from the start (and is now unusable), and the other, I do not trust.

@@myTerminal ah i see! Im still looking for a good brand but cant find any :( the oem battery doesnt hold a charge anymore and a dtek one i bought died very fast

My conclusion is that the only way is to buy used genuine batteries. They do not hold a 100% charge, but at least they do not degrade as quickly as the aftermarket ones.
