    Oh yeah, that is just to remind the rest of us that some of us "believe" that people have been losing their dignity, homes, lives (and more) for over 75 years in a part of the world far, far away from our bubbles and no one's doing anything about it. Do not worry about it as It's just our weird imagination, nothing real, everything's AI-generated. Also, neither of the two pictures "promote" religion or war. If at all anything, they're meant to promote peace. Finally, thanks for the reminder, as I realize I've been using the same pictures for several videos now. I might change it to AI parents holding lifeless bodies of their AI children in future videos, so please do not mind it, and you're free to look away. 🙂

    Hello, why use password manager? Are we risking it for convenience ? Is it good idea to store those in old school pen paper mode?

  • @myTerminal
    @myTerminalАй бұрын

    There could be a lot of reasons, but in general, letting someone else handle your secrets could be unsafe, especially companies that can benefit from it. Pen-and-paper works for some people, but getting that physical copy stolen (or even lost) would be big trouble. Password managers add another step in the workflow, but if you choose the right ones (I prefer local encrypted files), those are arguably the most secure.

  • @Lone95Era
    @Lone95Era2 ай бұрын

    Interesting. I guess everybody's preferences are quite different when coming to Firefox between developers, tech-savvy individuals, and just average users. I am not a big fan of the Chrome Web Store too mainly because of Google's push for Manifest V3 and its affect on ad-blockers. And so Firefox just seems to be on the safe side and I can have more freedom and control on my browser settings than a Chromium browser. Brave is committed to dodging Google but Chromium-based browsers may not be able to defy Google in the long term since Google owns the software. I like Vivaldi and have used it but that would also mean I would have to rely on Chrome extensions. I agree, their extra features can be overwhelming and they're not as good as other clients I've used. And I never heard of KeePassXC and it's really cool you attempted to make it from the source code and loading it on Brave. I just tend to use Bitwarden because of its wide-availability. Great video! :D I hope the world can certainly find peace during rough times 🕊

  • @myTerminal
    @myTerminal2 ай бұрын

    I went the KeePassXC route as I'm becoming more and more a fan of owning my data. Bitwarden is more popular though, at least for a less-nerdy audience, but when I tried to get my wife's passwords off Chrome and into Bitwarden, it didn't feel as natural to me, at least from a regular user's perspective. As I cannot get her to use KeePassXC, I'm considering moving her passwords back to Chrome, such that at least she'll have it all in one place.

  • @Lone95Era
    @Lone95Era2 ай бұрын

    @@myTerminal That makes sense. Proprietary software is good for the average user since companies simply make it easier. For more tech-savvy people, owning your own data does become critical and is a choice for many. I can consider myself in the middle, I'm not exactly a developer but I have a very strong preference over what software I use and am involved in tech.

Also a lot of fake propaganda on both sides. In the meantime, on both sides innocent civilians and children are dying. I really love this class of machine, similar to the 2015 macbook, having the functionality of a laptop with the portability of a tablet is amazing, but they've been let down by power hungry x86 processors. I really hope with the improvements on the arm side we could see an M3/4 powered 12" macbook or snapdragon x elite x1 nano, to get the required efficiency for this class of device to thrive. It would be the ultimate "second device" to take with you on the go or just to watch youtube in bed, while having a more powerful primary machine. It seems like manufacturers have tried to fill that void with tablets, but it's just impossible to be productive on a tablet os outside of niche usecases.

    What I like about the X1 Nano Gen 1 in particular is that it brings a great balance between computing power and battery consumption. The Gen 2 takes most of the battery efficiency away in exchange of a more capable CPU, which is throttled down anyway.
