I always think basking sharks are terrifying. I've never seen one in person (I hope to eventually get a boat, so the possibility is there) but knowing full well that they are about 10m long with a mouth about half as wide, they may be filter feeders but they are straight nightmare fuel.

They’re so careful not to eat anything but krill, even taking the time to gently spit out anything they take in that they shouldn’t eat. They’re basically the roomba of the sea.

There is a creature down there but its 'temporarily unactive' and you can't see it but it is supposed to be 7 times bigger than the cyclops. That thing was on wiki for only 5 months The devs thought that it would be the leviathan which will stop you from going further straight and down No more info but you never know what can devs say

Honestly, I would love to see someone mod that creature into the game. To where it would take the place of the ghost leviathans. Or even if you managed to get past them. And they lost interest it would chase you without losing interest.

It was called something like "They Breathe," and you were a Frog, trying to save your people from a horrible Eldritch demon, who had been absorbing them all, into one big amalgamation of flesh. I think Markiplier and Jacksepticeye did something on it. Maybe LordMinion777 or Yamimash did something on it, too. It really freaked me out, until I read some Lovecraft and played Dead Space. Then I could stomach it.

You know in these kind of games creatures, jump scares, even music aren't what can make the void scary. It's the fact that it's quiet when nothing is there, yet you feel something is coming for you. It's terrifying, the unknown is far scarier than any creature as it can mean something is out there that you can't imagine. Also love the basking shark in the thumbnail. Some cool sharks that I think would work is the goblin or frilled sharks. Very odd looking in the way of sharks

Yeah I totally agree with you on that one :) And the shark looked so cool when I found the picture that I just had to use it.

I think the "Thing" in the story would be some kind of evolved version of the unnamed creature concept art (the purple one with 1 eye and a few tentacles) thinking about It he was maybe just reffering to that thing when writing and just added some extra details like the mouths and glowing sacks on the tentacles

Ive found myself falling asleep to these subnautica stories you read/make, its relaxing yet scary, this one and “you are not alone” are my favourite creepypasta’s you’ve read, this one feels uneasy, but the fact you put a reverse reaper roar always sends a chill down my spine, anyway my point is keep it up and i lov ur vids :DD

I wouldn’t doubt some form of this existed in the old game. They had so many scrapped ideas, there was definitely some eerie stuff they put there. Maybe whole biomes that were scrapped were dumped there, absolute awesome monsters that we will never see were dumped there too, we’ll never know.
