Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZread, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZread. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZread, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

Now hit "My Guy" by Mary Wells, also written and produced by Smokey Robinson, and also released in 1964 for the Motown label. It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999 (Wikipedia).

This is an absolute Mt. Rushmore Motown Classic song. If I had a nickel for every time this song has been used in a tv show, commercial, movie or whatever, I'd be a multi-millionaire. Great song.

This song was written and arranged for the Temptations by Smokey Robinson. The song was a huge hit in the 60's and is one of those songs that keeps resurfacing. It's a Motown Gem.

This is one of my first record purchases as a child. This '45rpm 'record' was not a vinyl disc. It was a paper-type material laminated with a grooved plastIc coating. It was probably meant as a demo or for only minimal use. Along with this single, I purchased Baby Love by Diana Ross and the Supremes and Dancing in the Streets by Martha and the Vandellas. I wish I still had them. Probably real collectors' items now. The Temptations had a lot of great hits, but My Girl still has a special place in my heart.

The bass is of course great. It's played by James Jamerson, whom is regarded by many as the greatest bassist in the world. And the guitar licks, played by Robert White, is named as being among the top 5 guitar hooks at one point in the documentary film about Funk Brothers, Standing In The Shadows of Motown.

OMG, there are TONS of songs, especially from about 1984-on, that I heard "in passing" or referenced as a meme or in popular culture somewhere. But actually sitting down and actually REALLY LISTENING to the song, start to finish, no distractions.....THAT is a whole other experience. That is what this reaction is!

The Temptations had a looong string of hits including "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" (1966): kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zadkts2ulrunY5s.htmlsi=htfeTBtG6Zlo20Ov, "I Wish it Would Rain" (1968) & "I Can't Get Next to You" (1969). One of the foremost Motown groups, their music still stands the test of time. Most songs of the time were relatively short since a lot of them would be released as 'singles' on 45 RPM records.

This is the ultimate Motown song everyone knows. But there is so much more to Motown than just one or two sounds that old people have forgotten and young people don't know. the Supremes were the most popular and top selling act of Motown of the 1960's. Right behind the Beatles.

Now this is music!! We really need todays artists to look back into the past and try to emulate some of the great sounds that came from back in the day. Stop with the auto tune and all the other studio gadgets and let the rawness show. I guarantee it will pay off big to whichever artist does it. (From the ones that have the talent and there are a few around)
