I felt SO bad looking this up but I was simply stumped for days, I wound up quitting the game for a while but it was always on the back of my mind.

I solved it using cyclic movement and it takes like 10 minutes of steps to solve lol. I basically end up where you are after 20+ steps. I think my solution is incredibly difficult but it’s beautiful in the end, and more than likely the original intention of the puzzle. I start off with the lazes using the sides that only have one receptor, forming parallel lines, than slowly rotate the lasers by blocking, then switching, blocking, then switching. After a while you end up with your solution. It ended up taking me like 2 hours to solve, but for a solution that’s around 20 steps AND WORKS… well that’s just lovely. Felt like a Baba is you solution. Anyways, when I saw how easy this solution is I did still facepalm.

Always interesting to go back and see how other people did their solution. This was one of my favourite ones; I started my solution by pulling the blue laser to very back corner to hit all the blue pads I needed, then used the remaining 3 reds in the middle to piece the reds together (requiring one laser block -- which seems to be the theme for this world). Love the puzzle design for this game... all the standard puzzles have satisfying intended solutions, and then the bonus sigils require some really cool lateral thinking.

The way I did it was to have 1 connector off the blue laser on the side with the two inputs which opens up the red laser that has the single input and the final lock. Then I had 3 connectors to wrap the red laser around its island inside of the blue laser to get to the red input on the blue laser.

I had a pattern down that hit every lock and left all the doors open, but the beams ended up on the wrong sides to open the final door

Aaaargh I got as far as 1:43, feeling I was on the right track, but then made a mess of things - hard puzzle!

I used the blue laser from the other puzzle 'binairy' to get this one. You got the blue on the correct lock that way with 3 mirrors, the last one is for the red beam wich you can get with the blocker.

+Bokkie Balloonatic I did that too. I knew there was a "proper" solution, but since that worked out, I did it that way.

Yeah, this is how I solved it in 1 hour or so after my last post on your other video (overall 2 hours or so). I felt disappointed on how easy it actually was afterwards. I also tried to solve it without blocking the laser but I guess this should do. Thanks for posting the video up though, I bet it will help many people (I still prefer the slalom tactic, so creative).

Tengu Drop I already tried that one myself after seeing it in one of the comments. Two exploits in one puzzle, too convenient ! I think you can also use the block on the opposite side (with the red slot) for the intended way, rest would be the same.

Loller Coaster Do people seriously spend that much in a room?... sure, this one is long, I just made a sketch and in 15 min tried combinations and eventually I got it. Props for steel nerves.

I usually rush the puzzles and it works, this is the only one I couldn't do w/o thinking so I kept rushing. I could have probably got through it in 20 minutes or so if I gave it a thought but I am too lazy.

I would really appreciate if you could tell me how exactly is your "The Talos Principle: Road To Gehenna" folder named, located at Steam folder ? Usual location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common. I know it's some silly ass question... but I'm just having some problems here... Tnx :)

When i did this puzzle i managed to do it using only 3 lasers. I wondered why a 4th one was there and i thought that most probably i did not solve it in the intended way. Although the way i did it was quite fast and clean. Btw, i couldn't figure out what the last 6 stars are for, any idea?

  • @TenguDrop

Michael C They serve no purpose but are just extras. A way for the player to pick and choose 10 out of 16 stars and get the "true" ending without having to get them all.

There's also a way without blocking the beam... but it has more moves. Seeing how cyclic the elements are, there are probably many more solutions to it.

  • @TenguDrop

Emm N. Definitely. I've done it this way without blocking the beam too so it's not a game breaker if you let them collide. Seems like there's a few solutions to it for sure.

Emm N. Both solutions are known and intended as correct solutions, and the one you mention without blocking at 1:33 using your body is a bit more intended hehe. But the body block method was how I first solved it as well.

No, intended solutions are when you can solve puzzles without resorting to tricks... here, there are possible solutions of establishing connections just by using the connectors how they are intended to be used.

Emm N. which is why I said "Both solutions are known and intended as correct solutions". That wasn't referring to the slalom tactic, but to this tengu video and the other solution you mentioned, without blocking the beam at 1:33.
