For those unfamiliar with what I do, let me introduce the kind of videos I make. I usually take my time and absorb everything I can from the games I play. I also like to examine them; I'll often talk about how the game is affecting me, what I think of it, what works, what doesn't work, and game design. So my videos are typically a mixture of Let's Play, criticism, and examination. I suppose you could say I'm an analytical let's player. I'm no expert, but I love games and I view every game as a new piece of art waiting to be explored.

This is one of my favorite games of all time. The philosophy, the music, the story, and of course the puzzles. I never felt the puzzles became stagnant, because the challenge is always increasing. For instance, the DLC puzzles, especially the star DLC puzzles, can be brutal, because they require that you break the game in ways you’ve never done before that point. I also thought Milton was an excellent, well written villain. People may say that the game doesn’t have a villain, but that’s why Milton is such great one, because he manipulates you without you even realizing it. I’m not religious, but Milton to me, represents the devil. Or, perhaps Elohim, Milton’s polar opposite, could be seen as the villain. One of the coolest things about this game is that it lets you decide.

But are they really good and evil? They are both artificial intelligences, created by humans, who both have a specific goal, really, which is to push the subject to pass the test, each in their own way. In the end, they're both merely executing a program.
I'm so glad I decided to check out your channel after watching this review. Loving the thoughtful commentary and the analysis you provide on your 'let's plays'. Not sure why I didn't discover this channel sooner.
Seeing as Serious Sam 4 was a dumpster fire upon release, maybe Croteam should make another puzzle game 🤔 I've played many puzzle games and my mind always wanders back to this one. So many excellent concepts, themes and elements packed into one game. Makes me want more!
This game seems...interesting. First person anything usually captures my interest.
I went through all the way of your Talos principle. It was very interesting to watch your deep thinking process. I expected review contents including spoiler to understand the contents better and your thoughts about them. Anyway it was good to watch :)
Would you ever consider visiting the road to gehenna dlc for this?
Excellent review!
I feel like you would be a great storyteller.
I feel that this is a very intimate review. Great work and thanks.
Superb review fitting of the game, thanks
Loved every thing about your review,it was Beautiful and i loved it,subed because of everything you said and the beautiful way you said it,never enjoyed a review more than this, thank you for such a lovely experience honest,Thank you
This game is amazing from many points of view, but especially from the philosophical one. I personally think the singularity concept is, while very far away, a real possibility, and it's nice to see it drawn out in such a way. The entire game makes you think A LOT. Also, cats.
This game holds a very special place for me in my video-gamer heart; it may just be my favorite game of all-time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You haven’t played many games then, obviously.
Excuse me but, how is it possible that you played Talos WITHOUT the expansion, Road to Gehenna? Heresy i tell you! You need to play this shit ASAP! :)
What a great series, are you considering playing the sequel that has just released?
I litterally burst to tears after ending the game, so addictive........ Beautiful soundtracks, nice story, technical puzzles, & it's the only 1st person puzzle games which has +100 puzzles overall with 3 different endings❤
You have a great, calming voice. You should do more reviews.
So, 5 years later, have you considered playing through Road To Gehenna, the DLC for this game. If not, please privilege us to see you do this. N.B: The puzzles are somewhat harder, quite possibly rejects from the base game for being too hard.

@@LailaDyer Imagine being so whacked out in life to think it’s okay to mock women, by pretending to be us... doing so by dressing up as us, putting on make-up, doing your hair like us, even getting surgeries, etc - doing all of this in the same vein as adorning a costume. It’s so offensive. I have my monthly visit from Aunt Flo right now, and I’ve had these visits from the age of 14 until now - age 48, almost 49 (and there’s no sign of it ending any time soon). That’s something that pretenders will never, _EVER_ experience. They’re not fooling _ANYONE._ They’re only offending us.

@@LailaDyer Regarding your profile - you talk about youtube being “toxic.” It’s pretenders like you that make it as such! Look in the mirror when you want someone to blame!
Nice review, only nitpick would be that you could of edited the video better to show what you were talking about at certain points.
Thank you for the review. The game feels like Portal, something I really enjoyed. Maybe I'll give this one a shot
Did you hear about the April Fools DLC that replaces Elohim's voice with the Serious Sam voice actor? Yes, it's a real thing.

PensiveElephant haha yeah, I find the more I like something the less I can say about it. I don't know why that is but it's really strange.

Have you read their profile? Lmfao it’s sooo cringe! It made me nauseous. It explains a lot of why the narration here is also cringe.
please do the dlc, I know it's less KZread algorithm freindly but maybe you will get some traffic from people looking for solutions and staying for your channel...
90% off on PSN right now. From 50$ to 5$.
Thanks for your review. Your experience in the game is slightly diffrent from mine. I love this game, it is absolutely amazing and kept me excited to play untill the very last puzzle. You mention that you find the puzzles getting repetative. I disagree... It's true that at a certain point in the game you have figured out all the new mechanics and at that point your skills really get put to the test. The first 2 worlds were in fact so easy I was about to return the game for being too easy. When all mechanics were introduced however, the puzzles got more challenging and the game started to get a lot more interesting. Especially the stars were mind blowing, sometimes so obvious and yet so hard. I completely agree the sigil puzzles were a true pain in the a... These mind numbing puzzles got me startled for hours througout the whole game, especially end game when you have quite a big puzzle every hour level. In addition, the story was awfull in my eyes. The whole thing was fun in the beginning but the terminal stories were endless, there was no fun at all for me and whenever i talked to a terminal I instantly regret it. These things take too much time and there is nothing added to the game really. If you are a puzzle freak like me, leave the terminals for what they are as they do not provide any new challenges and just take up your time. The story is not that mind blowing to waste multiple hours talking to a machine which constantly gives you too many choices for a response... In general, this game was way above expectation. As a portal lover I am honestly saying this game is above the level of portal games. I had more fun playing these puzzles!

Great game, I prefer it to portal2 due to the heavenly landscapes. The 'recording' puzzles were fun. Near the end, the big tetris puzzles and having to go all the way back through the top of the tower every time was unnecessary.
Way too much coffee and 5-Hour Energy drink consumed before making this video.
$5 on PSN.... yes.

Why Are You Talking Like An Android? Is It An Inside Yoke, Considering The Talos Principle Deals With The Same Subject? The Pauses Before Every Word Are Very STTNG Data Like.
sounds boring
