This is something I love about the Talos Principle, you can solve puzzles in many unintended ways :) I always felt so big brained when I did it haha😂

I'm honestly afraid to even play Talos 2... The Talos Principle is my favorite game of all time and I feel like the sequel is going to be really different even if it's good 🤷 Thanks for the comment though, I guess we'll have to see :)

@@330thcubeV2 The game is really good and it looks beautiful, the vibe is slightly different with more story aspects but the puzzles are good with many new mechanics (though not as hard as in 1 generally, but they already said there's gonna be a DLC with harder puzzles just like gehenna)

@@330thcubeV2 wise choice. I went into it expecting more of the same, but the only thing that really remained was (some) of the puzzle design. Everything seems a little formulaic once you get like 25% through the puzzles. The philosophy is pretty ham-fisted and the sense of isolation that the first game perfected just isn't there. It's not necessarily a BAD game, it's just not following in Talos's footsteps.

@@LynchtheFinch I can't emphasize enough how much the original Talos meant to me, it felt like far more than just "a video game" and I remember honestly getting a little teary eyed at the ending. The fact that there's a sequel now and the new world is just another simulation or whatever just feels wrong to me... (and on top of that, I really hate the fact that there are more laser colors since the blue and red seemed so iconic lol)

@@330thcubeV2 It is different indeed. You have many more story elements and a RPG feel, but puzzle design is very similar to the first game, adding many new components that give a refreshing challenge. Falls a bit on the easy side, especially if you have played Gehenna and you're used to high difficulty puzzles. It can also become a bit repetitive, as you'll see a structure that is repeated several times during the game, but it's compensated with more puzzle variety, even compared with the first game. Philosophy appears in a different way; if the first game is more about the self, the second game is more about society, and in the end it kinda forces you to think in an intended way, more than giving several philosophies that are debatable. It still makes you think a lot, not only within the puzzles themselves, which is part of the greatness of both games. And the story is pretty engaging. The first game was also a life changer for me, and I was afraid of the sequel being a letdown. But despite a few gripes I have with it, for me it's totally worth it. If Talos 1 is a 11/10, Talos 2 is a 10/10. It's worth a try for its price. Even if you don't like it, it won't destroy your appreciation for the first game. Cheers!
