FINALLY! Someone who actually shows you how you're actually probably supposed to do it with the lasers instead of parkour.

I've watched a couple of your videos to get some of the "impossible" stars. I have no idea how you had the patience to figure these out but I thank you and so does my gamer score. Seriously impressed, my friend!

so thats how they want you to solve it. I got it by just jumping around the cliffs. This seems more likely to be the intended solution

I love how stars basically force you to think outside the box and sort of include all of the playable areas in a given level. You're trying to find ways of interaction between areas. It's difficult at first but it eventually pays off. Also Croteam are geniuses. A lot of planning must have gone into development. It's one thing to design a single level, and another to make several levels compatible with each other.

Man nice solve dude! I approached it super differently. I managed to solve this one by keeping everything inside 'weathertop'. Stacked two boxes on one of the fan platforms which allows to you jump onto the wooden dividers of the level and place the jammer and connector on top of those wooden walls. I love that this game allows so many different ways to solve problems!

I did the same. People are calling it "parkour" to make a perfectly timed jump onto 2 stacked boxes from a jagged cliff and I agree that's a bit glitchy. Others like this video are using a combination of 3 puzzles and calling that the developer's intent. I don't know if that puts us somewhere in the middle or what, but I never felt like I was breaking the game by making easy jumps onto simple geometric shapes. If ours wasn't the intended solution it might as well have been.

@@cnnhdlvth9557 If you ask me, the fact that you can climb the rocks to escape that third box's chamber without having opened the doorway at all tells me that multiple solutions were provisioned for. That being said, there is something satisfying about solving this without "parkour", with the lasers. On the other hand, alternate solutions require their own sort of "thinking outside of the box", don't they?

I love how many different ways there are to do this. I ended up stacking the two crates on top of each other midway between the two lodges (in front of the blue energy source) then taking a tripod and jumping onto the two rock mounds to get onto the wall of the first lodge before jumping onto the crates and then onto the second lodge, where I placed the connector on the highest point at the corner. This allows the beam to get over the short fence opposite, after which it's simple to open the far door with the second connector.

I also prefered the easy way by the cliff, it saved me few neurons ! running all around like this require a lot of oil for me knees ...

spent over an hour on this star, definitely the most challenging and engaging one yet so far in my playthrough. solved it self-contained in a similar way to some other commenters. two stacked boxes in front of blue laser- grab a connector and work your way from the rocky gandalf outcrop, jumping over the purple gate onto the wooden fence. follow the fence back towards the box stack. well timed jump onto the boxes, and it gives you the orange feet prompt to jump onto the next fence. pop the connector onto the squared corner - from there can select blue power source and the 2nd connector just in front of the QR codes. 3rd box, then simple box step structure to hop over for the star. love love this game!

I ended up solving one of the puzzles to get a crate and parkoured to leave the puzzle with the crate then went to the puzzle with the star and jumped from the outside area to get to the puzzle from the right side then did the puzzle from there to make it possible to have all three boxes unaware that there was actually three boxes in that puzzle the whole time. While im proud of what I was able to do on my own, I love that there’s multiple methods to solve this! Such an amazing game!

I knew it had to do with the floating lasers from the other tests, but I ended up doing it jumping on the tilted fans from the star test and then onto piled boxes with the jammer in hand lol.

Damn it, missed the hidden 3rd box! Spent ages trying to smuggle a box out of another puzzle, as you can get in to the right of the door.

1:46 You can put the jammer here instead of a box, put the box on the other side of the fence and jump on it, you can now grab the jammer. Thanks for the video.

I solved this by using the blue laser in the fourth puzzle (the puzzle you didn't use in this map). Stacking four crates on top of a fan gave it enough height. Spent like an hour on this puzzle, crazy hard.

Initially, I thought I could point the blue laser from the 'fourth' puzzle all the way over to the star puzzle. That didn't work out, but then I noticed I could point it at the 'red Lazer' puzzle, which basically solved it.

Nice this seems to be the intended way ! I got it differently by setting the lasers inside the room to trigger the last lock with the help of the jammer to "start" the unlocking, to do that I put a repeater on the rock next to the place where the jammer spawns

I did the same thing! It took so much messing around to get it to work (connector on the box had to be in the right position etc) and you had to fully run and jump up there the second time to retrieve the jammer because the box was in use. Honestly it felt like a bodge job lmao so I came to KZread to see how it’s meant to be done

Most interesting star for me in the playthrough. The way I did it was that you can bring both blocks outside of the the purple zone area. Stack them next to a fan mount and hop onto the double stack then onto the fence next to the last block. You then are able to get on top of fan jump walls. Sadly this isn't the intended solution since it doesn't give you the prompt to jump onto the walls where it is intended for other star solutions. Which seems weird since this mechanic is mostly intended elsewhere yet it doesn't given you the prompt to jump onto the fence. Hardest part was getting the block and jammer out of the area and always though jumping onto the wood was the correct idea since it gave you the prompt for it and completely zoned out about the low-rise fence in the back corner despite it being used in other puzzle rooms. I figured out you could use the prisms on the other puzzles to trigger the barriers to solve it which is what I always assumed how it was supposed to be solved given the two blue detector zones blocking the last block but I never really did this as it would require a heavy amount of resetting to solve. I could have probably gotten this solution given like 30 more minutes. And wow the amount of tricks needed to get this star is insane with the knowledge of laser hopping from zones and picking up the block outside the fence along with the amount of "incorrect" assumptions that could be made within this packed zone.

nm.. i didn't realize u brought the blue to that puzzle from another puzzle to get to the third puzzle / star... FML!

Ended up solving this with two boxes, a connector, and a jammer by cheesing with a big rock near the jammer spawn. Didn’t even use the other areas since I didn’t figure out I could bounce the floating laser outside the level to another level then to the star level.

I loved C3 map for crossing puzzles with each other (or anyway, that's the way I did it if it's not intended :D). I tried to reach the lasers from the right side and left side, but didn't even think about entrance until the very end. Star was definitely the hardest one here for me.

nice ... took me an 1 -1 /1/2 hour i would say. First thought after getting the point was "really, are you kidding me :D"

I spent 3 months trying to solve that and I did today. I instantly got here to see if the solution was the same as mine and... I realize that I got a different solution (and was not with parkour). My solution: At 0:08 u are looking to the force field. It has a rock on the right side. You can jump there with the cube's help. Take a reflector there (on the side of a snow man) and connect with the blue beam (easy). Go direct to the star's area. Do the usual things to retrieve the 2 cubes. Than at 2:09, you are on this corridor with a cliff on the left side. Put a reflector there (on the border of the cliff) and try to connect with the connector that i set up on the beggining in the other area. Doing that, now it's easy. Connect with the door and use the jammer to open the last one.

I cheesed this so hard with parkour...and im glad I did because I would never have figured this out

This one was ridiculous

I did it differently, everything in one map Weathertop (where star is). But it was more of a glitch then solution. That's why I am looking here for intended solution. You can place 2 boxes on top of eatchother next to fance (in front of blue laser), and then by jumping on boxes and tree and laser repeater. Jump on those boxes, and place the laser repeater on them. Than you need one more repeater to turn on first of two gates to 3rd box, and then you do the same to get star.

Spent one hour straight on that today, and i didnt make the connection of the blue laser through the other puzzle...also because there is a very obvious spot where you can bring things into the star puzzle area. Instead what i found in the end was i could take a lasertripod out of the second puzzle and just get into the star one. With three reflectors it was easy.

in jammer quarantine yu can jam thru that quarantine field so just jam the forcefield blockin the box its faster :)

I almost got it that way, but brute-forced it eventually.

I thought you had 2 both fans on with a box and a laser flip-flopping back and forth connected to the gates and then put a 2nd box in with it so the laser was on 2 boxes flip-flopping back and forth and it would open both gates then you take the jammer to the last gate. I actually managed to get the laser on top of 2 boxes flip-flopping but the laser was still getting blocked. The fucking red herrings in this game

xBox version is the laser beam red and the receiver blue to get to the star. That is some poor level building.

I did this different I got a connector out of one of the other levels by using a box and a fan to jump onto the walls and jump out the level then used the little cliff to jump into the other level so i had three conectors

To be fair i only found the caveman solution.

Ahaa so my mistake was trying to get a laser from another level when I in fact needed to get a laser from another level into another level and then get it from there.

I didn't totally parkour it, but this wasnt my solution either. Two boxes on the fan that blows into the corner zone (where the jammer starts) and stand on the back of the fan. From there you can jump on the boxes and then on the wall (same wall as the ladder). Bring a connector up with you and it sits on the wall and can hit the last blue terminal. Still kind of cheating.

This seems plausible.. but the solution you pulled the blue laser from to get the star.. that's a red laser in my game and i can't get the angle to get the blue laser in there :/

Wait, how did they pick up the connector without discarding its connections at 2:20?

I solved this in a way no one in the comments did... from the main area, i jumped onto an outhanging platform that had a box on it, (jammer quarantine), and was able to (just barely) jump back into the main area while holding the box. I brought that box over to the level with the star, set it to the side of the entrance, hopped on top, then hopped on top of the rock wall, and could just jump down into the star from there. Lmao

did i miss something? i got a wall at @2:06

i feel like a cheating fuck! i did it by getting stuck in a tree and then stacking the two boxes and the laser redirecting thing on top of them

welll... i found another way to do it..... a less legit way i guess

I solved it by lasers but everything you need is in this "room", you dont need to connect laser from outside

I did the same. One laser on a box on the rocks(the rocks beside the purple door room), one laser on a box beside the blue circle on the far side of the map(just outside the room you want to enter for the third box). Then use the jammer while on the rocks to open the blue door to connect both of them and bobs your uncle. Take the jammer with you as you don't need it for its original purpose any more. Came here to find how I "should" have done it!

Rob Delaney that’s exactly what I’ve just done!!! It felt like such a bodge job that I just had to come to KZread haha. Thing is loads of solutions have involved bringing the beams in from another level but for some reason I just didn’t think of it with this one...

...I just wasted half evening trying to unlock the secret trap door with a f%&king star on it. When it comes to collecting the gold stars, I think the game design is seriously flawed. Thanks anyway.
