For those that do not know Lamido, he is a consistent pan-Nigerian I ever know. This is a man that developed a state from zero to a recognized state in Nigeria. Any corp member that serve during his tenure in Jigawa state can testify to this. A real Nigerian indeed. He revived the education and health sectors of the states. Universities, hospitals, standard roads with street lights, security and revived the economy of the state.

Arise tried very hard to make Gov Sule Lamido a tribalist or a sectional leader, but his responses were patriotic and nationalistic. Some states distributed it, some withheld (possibly due to covid, who knows) He is right, APC was a formation of 3 fractionated parties that would never had gotten into power. Also we can both allude to bad leadership which didn't happen today, this has been successive government post independent because of what I would describe as visionless leaders. We can also agree that same recycled political class since independent are in power and bequeath to their friends and families. Common adage goes by, doing same thing with expecting different result is INSANITY. The likes of Lamidos et al would claim of achievements when they were in government but does their achievements match with the resources at their disposal? We as people need to hold them accountable and not look at personal benefit we might derive. In the interest of national prosperity for all irrespective of our tribe, religion and region, bottom line these leaders have failed us! However, when they speak certain truths, we can agree to those as well, doesn't necessarily mean we vouch for them. Personally i am starting to think the nigerian society as a whole is incapable of producing the sort of leadership to move it forward. There's an adage that says, it takes fools to be ruled by idiots. Possibly later in the future when the society develops more, more "critical" education and not rote education we might get there. 90 years ago we were killing twins thinking they were spirits, within that same period, developed societies we see today were looking to conquer the moon. Even if we were to get a decent, upright president, he would need a team of hardworking, selfless, motivated and creative minds. those who look at the success of nigeria as the advancements of the black race, those sort of mindsets, not one who is thinking of lining his pockets etc. From what i have seen, most nigerians including those commenting on here do not have such will power, they might do worse. Also since northerners have been president how does is it benefit their people? Obasanjo was president for 8 years how does is it impact on his tribe? Jonathan was president for 6 years but his village is among the poorest village in Nigeria with no good roads. Igbos politicians are the beneficiary of Jonathan government how does it impact on their tribe? We need to wake up, what we need is a competent leader who can be igbo, Ijaw, Itshekiri, Benue hausa, fulani, Yoruba and so on. I want a Nigeria where our tribes doesn't matter.

@@godwinejiofor8064 I agree with you in some extent but let's focus on finding the good Nigerian in an Igbo extraction to balance the equation. We can't agree to allow each other drink with a cup and when it gets to my turn, you break the cup and try to change the rules. That's totally wrong.

Dr. Abati is politician, he has his eyes on governorship position of Ogun state. To that end, he cannot be as critical as Rufai. He (Rufai) is, as of today, a pure journalist while Dr. Abati's journalism has been tainted by politics.

Lamido Sule voted for Goodluck Jonathan! *Who did you vote for? Overall a very solid speech, well informed, he obviously hates the direction in which nigeria is heading. Doesnt approve of the buhari administration, and informs people of how Goodluck was unfairly criticized during his admin
