My absolute favorite archetype that deserves actually support the deck needs. For how popular Akiza is among the female yugioh cast, its crazy how little support the deck has gotten.

The archetype just needs some consistency. I wish Ruddy Rose Princess searched a rose dragon. I was so disappointed in it's effect of needing to play 2 garnets just to summon a level 7 synchro.

Literally, all it needs is a "rose"searcher and a boss that allows them to interact with on the opps turn. Yeah, there's flora and cross rose, but they require so much setup that it's not really worth it.

Me every time Nova does an archetype breakdown: Huzzah! Me when I hear him somehow still able to make puns about every card: He can’t keep getting away with this!

Yes I love Akiza! One of the best female Yugi characters and her Rose Dragons are so damn fun to play!

Akiza was certainly one of the best main cast characters that Yu-Gi-Oh has ever had, a very capable duelist, a very complex character with a great growth arc, and an awesome deck.

I think part of what made this my favorite season of yugioh was that it was relatable: I was always an outsider, and so were my friends; we just didn't fit in so we found a family with each other, and even if we've drifted apart or had some bad blood, we're all still family

The Dragon that went “WTF BOOM!” Anytime you casted it.

Thank you for showing off why Akiza is best YGO girl! Also, Black Rose Dragon is best Synchro Monster, period! I should also point out that Rose Dragons have a special place in my heart, as I do have an IRL Rose Dragon deck that my fiancee bought for me for Christmas 2021, and the archetype as a whole represents the bond I shared with my late mother. I need to improve the deck to make it more consistent, but the point is that carrying that deck makes me feel like I have a piece of my mom there with me when I play it.

With the new support for Stardust and Red Dragon Archfiend and the overall focus on Synchros that we are getting this year (and the support for Blackwings in DWB) I hope for new Black Rose Support soon. And I think there is a real chance we get it.

Loved seeing how Akiza's story played.

Biggest tragedy of this video was not playing the greatest OST in 5D. Aki Izayoi Battle. Shame on you! Also really good video! I do like that you left the best for last to show everything else leading up for Black Rose Dragon. Keep up the good work!

I absolutely do ship Aki and Yusei, and see Ruddy Rose Dragon as the wonderful child of Black Rose and Stardust. Though I do wish they could've picked a better TCG name; I understand they couldn't exactly import it as "Bloody Rose Dragon", but there had to have been better English words to go into, like Crimson or Scarlet.

I remember getting black rose from a friend when he asked which one I wanted as red dragon was the other card. Glad I picked black rose as only me and two other people had it at the time. Got a second one in college just so I could play one and store the other one

A little correction: Dragon Link wasn't the deck that got Red Rose limited. B.A.S.E.D. and in general all these Adventure Pile decks were the reason. The D. in B.A.S.E.D. even refers to the Rose Dragons.

fun fact about blue rose dragon since its a when effect if you chain wrong it can miss timing with black rose, in duel links this is a big issue since ou cant choose chain order

keep up the great work! i love all your videos and jokes. im hype to see your video on crow! hes always been my favorite character in 5'ds. i've always felt like he always got hated on for some reason. his deck in the show was debatably the most consistent and one of the strongest. yet, people love to hate on him as a character, and on his cards. not to mention, his back story always hit home for me.

In my fanfiction, Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V: The White Flower Emperor, Satoshi Fudo(beter known as Ash Ketchum; I'll explain that sometime later) uses an archetype I created for him: the White Flower Dragons. This archetype/deck is a Dragon and Plant-type archetype that focuses heavily on facilitating Extra Deck summoning(Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, and Link) and benefitting from said summons. They're also used to support the Stardust and Rose archetypes, and really help out the Deck's two boss monsters: Stardust Dragon and Black Rose Dragon, who, later in the story, get "killed off" by Silver and reincrnate into their much stronger forms: Nebulathorn Stardust Dragon and Starbloom Black Rose Dragon.

Black Rose Dragon and Moonlight Dragon have always been in my decks! Akiza is my fave gal!

49:01 In my case, i wish Ruddy Rose's design had more variety. I don't know. Maybe give it more "Stardust" colors, considering this card has a "stardust dragon" like effect. 49:49 I am so sad we haven't gotten a "Rose Synchron" monster up to this day. I once got a black rose dragon from a random booster pack and I immediately fell in love with it I'm still yet to have a physical deck that can use it to it's fullest potential but I am so happy to see someone covering it

Anyone have a good rose dragon list that doesn’t use Halq? I’ve been trying to build it in MD but I’m not a good enough combo deck-builder to do much lol. I’m hoping to eventually build a version where, going blind 2nd, you can summon BRD multiple times a turn to clear boards through 1-2 negates or even if they can recover from 1 wipe. From what I can tell, the available support just isn’t conducive to that

Of all the female duelists in the yugioh anime as a whole, none hold a special place in my heart quite like Akiza. I like Alexis Rhodes but I love Akiza Izinski.

I play this deck in Master Duel, I feel like I am the only one that does.

Considering that the ink on newspapers can be enough to outweigh their biodegradable potential (depending on the ink's ingredients), I'd say Yugioh cards are going to be resoundingly awful compost under any circumstances. P.S. Inferno Reckless Summon goes pretty well with Black Garden--not only can Black Garden's ATK-halving let you summon up to two monsters with a maximum of 3000 original ATK each, but if Rose Tokens are already set up for your opponent then you don't even have to worry about giving them anything in return.

a few what scatered about? nope, verger special summon summon itself when a monster is summon, which means you can only use 1 of those conditions per summon.

Still weird to me that card's based off the artwork of Akiza such as Black witch of the Rose and Ruddy Witch are not Psychics instead. Akiza is a psychic so only makes sense that these cards would be too, especially when 5D's were heavily introducing the Psychic typing

Actually the deck that got Red Rose Dragon limited was Swordsoul. And we all know about the level 10 action that deck can go through. Nice assortment of "badum tsss" moments here. The saddest part about Moonlight Dragon is that she isn't a Rose Dragon by effect in the TCG., still a nice eight option. To answer on query you had, Dark Rose Fairy in the Rose Dragon deck is a stepping stone--specifically, Red and White Rose Dragon + Dark Rose Fairy = Trishula.

I tried to watch this video, and it's a great video, but the same erie Zelda Twilight Princess song over it for at least most of it causes me to not be able to finish it. At least not in one sitting. I guess the audio was a real thorn in my side huh?

I absolutely loved your thoughts and review of Akiza's cards, but I have a complaint I must bring up. Command Knight is a WOMAN! You can find this out easily when playing Duelist of the Roses on PS2 and is my favorite Deck Master, plus in her attack animation she has a feminine tone of voice, not a masculine one. Not to mention it's clear her chest armor is meant to cover her gifted breasts, not the biggest yes, but it's clear she has a build of a woman in armor. It never disappoints me, sometimes even annoys like now, to see people think Command Knight is a guy. Like seriously? Did no one see what SHE looks like as a whole monster?

​@@hawyang yup, Ancient Pixie Dragon isn't an upgrade. Luna's deck is terrible. The monsters are all over the place and the Ancient Forest field spell hurts her deck more than it helps. Her main deck focus is "Stall and Burn" and in today's game, that's not good enough for casual play.

@@relicking9207 It was present during the Red Nova fight, while Lifestream wasn't. You can say that both dragons fought separate battles that the other didn't take part in.
