I've been meaning to try out sway. Didn't know it didn't play well with default propietary drivers, will hold on until it does. Thanks for the vid!

From what I read, I don't think the developers have any intention of working with the proprietary drivers. I think you would have to switch to the Nouveau drivers, or switch off of Nvidia entirely.
Waybar is polybar for wayland.

Alacritty is not needed, Foo terminal or foot is the default terminal. Nouveau is needed for Nvidia (thanks Nvidia for being assholes, re: DRM). Running Sway as daily driver at the moment, not on Debian 11.1 like I wanted, but Ubuntu. On Ubuntu you get hardware accelerated, Debian use software to resize, move windows and performance is horrible.
