Dear Listener, this recording has some copyrighted music in the video so YT plays ADS to collect revenue for the record company. I have no control over the ads that appear as it is all KZread placing ads for the music companies as I used copyrighted material in this old recording. My channel is not monetized so I make no money from them or the ads that appear. I try not to use copyrighted music anymore. If you purchase a KZread premium subscription you can avoid ads. The responsibility is all on your end.
This is the only channel I would keep as the “must keep” if everything else had to be thrown away. 💎

Great channel.
Wonderful teaching. Impeccable production You are very important in my everyday life. My deep gratitude for your dedication. 🙏🏻
Your channel is such a blessing!!!!
The story of Hui Neng is the most touching. Those who know of and expound on the teachings of Sosan snd Hui Neng have touched the very heart of Nirvana. Many thanks for keeping these deep streams of consciousness flowing. Jiddu Krishnamurti. Ramana. Nisargadatta. Nagarjuna. Hui Neng. Sosan. Sankara. Tathagatha. Bodidharma. No difference. They form the substance on which many generations stand. Name form dissolves into the vast space of existence

Thanks Dainei, glad you are enjoying the teachings here. Not sure about the Cloud of Unknowing. I read through it again and realise it is quite dense and obscure. I'm not sure how I'd go reading it. I may do it a disservice.

Samaneri Jayasara I can hear it in your voice as though it’s Ramana and I can imagine it in simpler more modern language but that’s another story I guess. Thank you for replying. And thank you for all your meditations. Much love to you.🙏🏼

Dainei, just to clarify, what Cloud of Unknowing text are you referring to? I assume it is the Christian one by Anonymous?
@daineitracy3231
4 жыл бұрын
Samaneri Jayasara yes, it is very medieval and obscure, I know there is a Shambala publication where it’s been translated and modernised but I haven’t read that one yet. I think the original was written in the times of the Plague, which I find interesting. Thank you so much for replying! It is so valuable to know that spiritual human experience is universal and accessible and totally normal. And you are making it even more accessible. YAY!!!🙏🏼

Perhaps this is exactly what it is like when there is no self and we are already enlightened. We just don't know it yet.

I dont understand his comments on thoughts. A thought is a thought, whether enlightened or not. So clinging to any thought is bondage. So how does merely thinking wise thoughts awaken prajna?
@SamaneriJayasara
2 жыл бұрын
Wise thoughts are a reflection of our inner prajna/wisdom and are skillful means in our practice to awakening. Yes, clinging to any thoughts, or any "thing" for that matter, is indeed bondage. But in order to arrive fully at the station and to disembark from the train, one must ride and hold on to the vehicle. The Buddha spoke about the raft we use to cross the river of samsara. Once we have reached the other shore we leave the raft behind, we don't carry it with us. It's the same with reflecting on and using wisdom in the form of thoughts - it helps waken prajna in us. When we are fully awake we don't rely on them anymore. Hope that helps to clarify somewhat.
